I used to film at Bethel in crashed and was in a. Coma for a brain bleed because a crash and can’t wait to go back and the end of this year , it an amazing church .
This video was so helpful and gave me lots of idea for directions I can help take the church I’m serving at right now! Great job to you and the team for killing it too!
For anyone, like me, that’ll be bookmrking this to show later here’s time stamps:
00:00 - 02:02 Intro

04:12 - 05:49 Lens Specs

22:02 - 25:17 Encoders
25:18 - 26:20 Closing
Great tips! Also, yall have upped your vid quality of these recent ones a ton. Your guns for dads vid was shot/colored so well!
Excellent video. I would also add that using all the cameras in the same family/brand (color science) when ever possible will really make matching the colors much simpler when switching between cameras.
It might be helpful to also talk about live-streaming permissions and copyright, proper ways to display this information, which licenses are required, etc. Took me quite a while to work out all the details and get the right licensing.
With Blackmagic's release video yesterday, we're going to go with the Studio 6K option because of the EF mount! We already have a BMPCC 6K Pro, so getting cameras that all use the same lens mount and have identical setups/shooting options/menus is a plus. And for the same price as the Pocket 6K Pro, I think it's a perfect combination for combining handheld and stationary cameras for a worship environment! Thanks for this video and breaking down a typically confusing topic!
Good video! I would not just throw out OBS for quality though. Running OBS with proper encoding up to a distributing hub can work wonderfully, so long as the computer doing the encoding is built properly. Especially if only streaming at 1080p 59.97, you can build an amazing computer for encoding for under $1k. Throw in an SDI card, and bump that budget to a mere $1,250!
Well done💯. Answered 99.9% of my questions in this video 🔥👏👏.
Love watching your videos, many many upgrades at our church have been connected to your advice. You mentioned OBS for software, we use Ecamm for our services, do you have any thoughts on using this?
HELP!
we are using a M32 to OBS for live stream. But what I’m hoping to do is bring the signal from the M32 house mix into Ableton so I can have my own separate mix. Currently I have to keep telling the person running house sound to give me a little more for the guitar, bass, piano or hey let’s add more reverb/delay to the lead vocal for an example.
So what I would like to have is where I can add and do what I want in Ableton.
I’ve heard of other churches doing this but can’t seem to get how they do it.
So far I got all signals coming into Ableton and going into OBS using blackhole, I can add effects and hear them in my headphone, but the live stream still comes out dry.
I can’t get the effects into the stream.
Help please 😅 🙏🏽
Our church uses BM studio cameras. my question is, can you use a B4 lens on these?
great video but seeing all the camera sensors open without any protection just gave me anxiety....
You are not the only one. I started looking for my pocket rocket blower…
Looking at the training, will there be a 2024 editions or will what is there now be for 2024 also
Nice hat man!
For livestream purposes, should we have our cameras on auto focus rather than manual focus?
Dylan from Churchfront, here- I would say it depends on the system you're running. If youre running systems known for incredible auto focus like Canon or the newer mirrorless Sony's, and if it fits the look you're going for, then go for the autofocus! If you're looking for your camera ops to be able to do focus pulls and do really specific looks, manual focus will always be the way to go.
Great video and lots of information to process. Going to show this to my church as we’re beginning to consider newer cameras in the future.
I don’t know if this is a product video for Blackmagic and Canon or simply a product placement video for the guys over at T-Rex Arms with the hat you’re sporting. 😊
What type of tripod you use for the BM Studio 4k plus with the 70-200mm?
Excellent overview of live-streaming for churches.
God Afternoon, Jake. I wish to know if I can use Lens Controller with Panasonic MDH2M
This is such a good, well made video, thanks for the tips and advice! You guys are awesome!
Good job !
What expansion chassis are you using for the deck link quad?
Love the T-Rex Arms hat!
Does that encoder help any if you are pushing a stream out to RUclips or will it still end up trashed?
HOW CAN MAKE LIVE STREAMING TO FACEBOOK OR RUclips FROM SMALL CARGO VAN EXTERIOR MAYBE INTERIOR USED WHAT CAN EQUIPMENT ( MICROPHONE- CAMARA-COMPUTER-ETC) I CAN USED YOU RECOMMEND
Thank you for this video, leant so much 🙌🏽❤️
What do you think about the web presenter as encoder?
@ Jake So even with the black magic atem mini pro going to obs we need an encoder?
Thanks Jake
You da man! thanks for this great content!
All of those cameras are hdmi out. You converting to SDI with what? I know AJA makes some stuff but what do you use? I need to get my video to the switch about 150ft away.
Your video looks great. Which camera did you use?
- Sony A7SIII with a Sony GM 35mm F1.4 and a 1/8 Black ProMist filter. Color corrected and then graded with some custom curves 👍
@@dylanraymusic amazing quality. Great job guys!
Sooo we are now back from audio problems - meaning sound and mouth aren’t lining up - we use a basic Sony camera and capture card into a gaming lap top - we can have great sound and picture but never consistently - people are starting to get frustrated and don’t want to watch
You need to delay the sound so it's sync with the video
Nice hat😉
Hey Jake, what is your opinion of the Canon m50 mk2?
GOOD STUFF JG!!!
Nice vid Buh can we get more church tech tours 🤲😭🙏🙏
Killer Video Guys!!
@churchfront love that specific setup at 9:00, is the footage stable enough when paning while zoomed in ? Actually considering a similar setup with smallrig follow focus for zoom control.
Our top priority is internet speed, which is the sole reason for video compression. Fortunately, OBS is an ideal and cost-free solution.
and pls use windows not apple folks
You mentioned OBS, but how would a dedicated encoder perform compared to the ATEM built-in encoders? We currently use the ATEM Mini Extreme for our switcher and our encoder to send to RUclips.
I use my blackmagic atem extreme as my encoder, would I benefit from a Resi Encoder or something else?
If it works great keep using it! The nice thing about Resi and boxcast is the automated stream scheduling and it’s easier to multi stream to social media and such
@@Churchfront thanks. Ill take a look. My biggest thing for me after watching the video was wondering if getting a "better" encoder would increase the quality. BUT, the video was great to watch. Thanks. I get dropped frames at times and full cache on my feed. Not the end of the world but annoying. I have a wonderful upload internet speeds so always tried to solve the issue.
Your church name Pls
come to Neal and you will be like what?????
Conteúdo maravilhoso. Uma dúvida, dentro do curso tem opção de legenda e tradução de legenda?
Will we be getting a video over the studio 4K?
Isn't T-Rex arms the small arms dealer? ;)
Technically no, but I'll let it slide because the pun was too good 😂
Merci beaucoup
20:20 - Or, on a Windows computer, simply plugged into the PCIE port directly on the motherboard.
What is the option if you want to zoom in and out and move to different shots but only have one camera operator. Currently using PTZ but would like a higher quality without spending $10k per camera
We hooked up a Tilta Nucleus-M system to our main camera, which sits on a tripod with a 70-200 lens. Essentially it's a pair of geared motors that turn the focus and zoom rings of your lens, controlled by wireless handles. The system costs $1400 new but can be found on eBay for around $1000.
@@tperkins073 The Tilta Nucleus-M system you talked about, it reminds me the PTR-10 from Data Vidéo
@@CSC8393 they are actually very different. The Tilta Nucleus just controls lens function like focus, zoom and iris, whereas the PTR-10 puts your camera on a pan-tilt platform.
Shout out to BirdDog!
Your eye contact in this video is so on point, I’m questioning if the NVIDIA Broadcast eye contact tool is being used! 😂😂
3:50 sledgehammer 🎵🎵
Anyone interested in buying a Movi Pro gimbal? I’ve been trying to get rid of mine for awhile and could be willing to part with it for less than probably anyone else. DM me if you want more info.
in all honesty, both of those initial example shots with the Blackmagic Studio Camera looked terrible
True but it was too much work to re shoot
I still can't believe it's this expensive though.
