- The undergraduate and graduate Architecture Programs at California College of the Arts (CCA) prepare the next generation of architects to produce theoretically engaged, real-world work.
The curriculum prepares you to become a leader in a culture that relies on a combined expansion of technological innovation, social accountability, and creative content.
Hear firsthand as CCA students, faculty, and alumni discuss their experiences within the Architecture Programs at CCA.
Architecture at CCA focuses on material innovation, research, application, and resourcefulness within a larger social and cultural context. While providing a well-rounded architectural education, these programs use both physical and digital engagement with traditional, current, and emerging building materials and systems.
Whether you choose the five-year bachelor of arts* (BArch) or the three-year professional master of architecture* (MArch) path, CCA is a unique and ideally suited place to explore architecture as a critical and evolving practice.

Watching a positive video like this in time full of terrorism and killing and disasters just inspires and motivates me into becoming an a builder instead of a destroyer !
+amran mohamed: That was the most intelligent thing I've heard in a long time. You'll be in great company at CCA, Amran, and I hope I'll see you on campus in the near future. The world needs more folks like you.

wear do you get those sticks
Where it is ??? In which country ??
amazing CCA
To be interior designer, is that necessary to be architecture?
At CCA, if you enroll as an Interior Design student, you will technically be a part of the Architecture department. There is some overlap in classes, but they are separate majors that fall under the same department within the school.
California College of the Arts - CCA I am software engineer. I didn't study architecture in graduation. Will it bother?
Very inspiring
I own a ridge parcels that needs development for my personal retirement home near Wrightwood Ca. Budget is 300k-400k. I'm a carpenter/general contractor and open to creative designs that will comply to engineering standards needed being so close to the San Andreas faultline. Under 2000 sq ft is adequate. Please let me know how to proceed with my project for it to become your next project.
can i study architecture in the university of california los angles i mean study 4 years ?
Is there a course where I can learn both architecture and interior design
Both majors fall under the same department at CCA (the Architecture department) and there is a lot of overlap. In general, CCA is a very collaborative and interdisciplinary school where you are encouraged to pursue different subjects and work with students from other disciplines to expand your possibilities. If you want to receive degrees in both programs, however, you would want to explore a double major or perhaps an individualized major - both of which we offer!
very good
Should I take Digital Arts or Architecture?
What did u take?
At 3:01 didn't she sounded like Emma Stone ?
BTW the college seems very interesting and creative.
Do students of this college have to attend structure courses?
Safa Joma they have foundation courses
How many foundation courses do they attend?
Safa Joma
Some structures, yes. Nothing complicated. I think it was something like 3 classes
Thank You :)
I am studying architecture in India but want to do masters from us do this univercity offers any master courses ?

Cheers!

CCA has an interior design program.
I hear little good things about this job and a lot of bad things... that it's not the best job because of little pay and so much work... I'm starting to lean away from this job
True. Sad, but true. A lot of work, that nobody will pay to you.
This is not a job, this is the real Hell.
I want to be Architect but how can I be if I'm not good in math T.T
+Bruce Wayne it actually is trigonometry and geometry are involved, making drafts and sketches, systematically correct so that the draft can be built without there being a risk of it falling due to incorrect math
i think different engineers have different skill sets and that each type is hard in its own way. But sure I'm sure the Architectural engineers take hard classes just as any other engineer
you do not need to be a math genius to be a good architect. As other people said here, different people have different skillsets. You may not be the sharpest at mathematics but perhaps you are creative, perhaps you are an innovator, who knows!
CSI0220 also, odds are that you will be working with other architects so maybe another one is better at math and you compliment each other
I want to be a architect but I keep hearing shit about the job I'm losing my motivation
So true...very little pay
never forget the "n" , it's an architect . That's my advice
Dude don’t listen to the losers. 😂. They are probably compare it to other professions. It’s very unique. There is a way you can deal with all of the so called problems. If you can work around it. Great.
I hear the bag things but am still dedicated to it n will start the major this fall semster
what job does not have it's shit shoveling moments? It's a life style , if you are dedicated and passionate then get in and do it.
I AM AMRAN 10 YR OLD I LOVE DRAWING AND GROWING MY KNOLOGY I WANT TO COME TO CCA AND EXPAND THAT KNOWNOLOGY IN ME !!
This video nice for we'r
the following are results from giving Game designers real tools....
As a Romanian architecture graduate i'm kind of sad because our teachers don't give a shit and that makes us don't give a shit, but we try to and do our best to learn without any help. The atmosphere here is so rigid and we are being moked by most of the teachers, when this thing should be a collaborative experience. There is absolutely no pleasure in to studying architecture in this country. Exchange students, please stop coming here, IT SUCKS.
I can draw but i'm too scared of mathematics lol plus too lazy so yeah.Im a FRUSTRATED architect.Lol
