Truck is looking good so far. So glad to see an original color and not some loud red or some other bright color. Yes you can paint a truck in an old dirty garage. I know from experience. My friend and I painted his square body in his. I also painted his Dad's 49 Plymouth in the same garage. The truck turned out great. It got to sit overnight in the heated garage and not get disturbed. The Plymouth was another story. My friend wanted his Dad to see the car before it was dry and some dust got blown in on the wet paint, but still wasn't bad for a nonprofessional like me. :) I'm enjoying the videos. keep 'em coming.
👍Looking back on some older ones. Turned out great! 4:00 Stop selling yourself short my man! Y’all rock! Enjoyable channel! Come on and get behind that camera showing y’all working on the ground in the Canadian snow! 🥶⛄️❄️🎅👍 Seriously, good channel! Stay warm fellers!
Just thankful even about those little pleasures. That certain people sometimes take for granted. Well, that I've got a warm place to Live and too work. Merry Xmas.
Nice year truck to be building and with the orig type color brings back memories when use to see trucks like this still working doing their job. Like the small block chev engine choice as that would be the main choice for about 100 percent of old truck builders .Myself included.
I personally like green on some rigs and this green works well with the rig its on. I really liked the black fender accents done originally as well. Most everyone is either a mopar or no car, heavy chevy is see the highway in a Chevrolet ... and the jingle stayed in our heads for days. So hard to pick just one color. I hated orange till my boss set me in the set of a brand new all the bells, all the whistles, Twin chrome everything Kenworth that was a dark orange and black flames coming from the grill to the back of the cab and my name under the armrest on the outside so people knew who it was that passed them. I shined that orange till I had nightmares over my brain on orange trees attacking me. I have seen some paint jobs that cost as much as a house! Crazy.... your paint looking real fine.... I guess the new word for the day is "Sic" as this generation calls it. It's gonna be one "Sic" truck... me , I'd call it bad ass
Halfass I would think with building the end of the world truck you would be too busy to come watch video ,,,just kidding its awesome to know you also watch these guys ,,,😎
i hear ya on the brain cells. been exposed a few to many times to chemicals that i didn't know was harmful or thought it won't bother me...lol it done teached me better..lol i like the color and i'm amazed the paint laid down so well using such a large tip to spray with. but i'm not painter so what do i know... :) i've painting both in the garage and outside. don't much like painting outside but some time you just got to.
Tip:For stirring always use a flat paddle with a round and around motion alternating with an up and down motion. Wouldn't use drill mixer unless it has a very slow speed, or you'll aerate the paint mixture.
Hi crew at Penny's , sure looks great . Happy it got painted before it gets really cold outside . Very rewarding to see such a result from all that work put into the cab . Looking forward to more on the box and fenders . The cream on the grill will be a perfect complement to the meadow green body and black bumpers and running boards . If you look up Goodall Garage on you tube (one of my big brother's friends ) and check out Sioux Lookout Car Show 2019 you can see my big brothers green '30 Model A pickup with black bumpers and an oak box in the video as the camera goes through the show . He 's done paint and body work since before I was in kinergarten (spelled wrong but I am smrt ) . I'm sure Wayne would really like to see this too!
I feel bad guys! I had two paint shakers from our old shop (have been mixing and selling automotive paint for 30 yrs). The shipping would have been killer! You guys definitely are not the 3 stooges ( I know it's all in clean fun), if you were, 3 large paint brushes would have covered everything and everyone with house paint! If you guys ever have questions regarding paint, give me a yell or go to paintref.com, they are an excellent source for color formulas. Go Penny's!!!
Hey Guys. To stir the paint, put a whisk ( you know the thing ladies use to stir cake mix)in the drill press and turn it on low and it gets stirred while you drink beer.
Wow. you guys get a new camera or are you shooting it in a different setting then before? Really nice super clear picture compared to before. Truck turned out pretty damn good! I like that green, looks good on these trucks. And yes, shot a few vehicles in dirty-ass shitty old garages with box fans and whatnot. You just make do!
We ended up putting 3 coats on the cab. We were going to do 4 but decieded it looked great and we did not want to screw it up. We used less than half of the can.
Looks great. My question is what did you use to heat the garage with while spraying? Or did you just overheat the garage with the wood stove and let the fire go out until it was painted?
PLEASE that is the color I want my 1951 F1 painted. I am having a horrible time getting a current paint number to get to the body shop. Can you tell me what it is?

Thank you for watching Brent. We usually do a little Christmas shopping at Princess out, so we will take a look.
He's a good guy and we like watching his videos that truck is awesome.
Great job, I see the fenders in the back of the shop waiting their turn. Nice job fellows
Thanks 👍
Good episode guys ! Keep up the good work 👍
Looks really good cant wait to see the rest of it done
Thank you. We are very happy with it and will give us insentive to do more work on it.
Use a whisk and a soup laddel for scooping the paint in the mixing cup works great just don't tell the wife you were the one that robbed her kitchen
Or make sure you clean it well before you put it back.😏
Another good piece of advise.

Thank you rick and thanks for watching.
I always wanted an F1 until I got into one, they have a very small cab, they weren't made for taking long trips. Good looking truck.
You are right, the old trucks are not very big.

i took a 3/16 rod, bent a tri-angle shape on one end and spun it with a battery powered drill.

Pretty sure lows has those as well as paint sticks plus the got a mixer that goes in your drill.

No new camera. Same old shitty garage.
Nice colour. Was wondering where you'd land on the colour. Nice!
Thank you Robert.
Man that’s a nice paint job! Which one of ya sprayed it? Love the color, I had a 49 F1 that color. I dig this project.
Derek is the painter. This one may be the best one we have done.
Nice job on the paint. How much paint did it take to cover the cab? How many coats did you put on there?
We ended up putting 3 coats on the cab. We were going to do 4 but decieded it looked great and we did not want to screw it up. We used less than half of the can.
Looks great...but a sbc ? 😞 don't get me wrong I like sbc...but when they are in a chevy.
I agree, but my cousin had one and wanted something reliable to drive everyday.
The color spray will be on all parts in the garage, or? I would taken more plastic covers to protect my parts & tools.
Looks great. My question is what did you use to heat the garage with while spraying? Or did you just overheat the garage with the wood stove and let the fire go out until it was painted?
We used the wood stove and overheated it. It was also a wormer day out, so that helped.
PLEASE that is the color I want my 1951 F1 painted. I am having a horrible time getting a current paint number to get to the body shop. Can you tell me what it is?
what PPG paint code did you use to get the true Meadow Green?
The PPG code is 40481 and the Dupont code is 246-55134.
What the paint code for that green ??
ill have to look when im a Derek's its original Ford color hopefully we still have a sample.
