    If it wasn’t for owning a lovely Yamaha SRX600 single, I’d be tempted, but the little Yam’, with its deltabox frame and Brembo callipers simply is a must keep classic.

    First of all, thank you for this review on the Speed 400. I've been debating between the Speed 400 and rhe Speed Twin 900. I like them both, but I think the 400 wins on looks and for five grand how could I go wrong?
    My main concern is I usually ride two up with my wife, right now she can't ride due to serious health issues, but if she is ever able to ride again I wonder if the Speed 400 is large enough? I know it has 40 bhp and that's enough for the kind of riding we do. But I wonder if it is physically large enough to carry me at 180 lbs. and her at 130 lbs. We are not large people but I want enough room so both of us will be comfortable. What do you think? Should I buy the 400 because I like the looks better and the price is about half of the 900? Or should I dig a little deeper in my pocker and go for the 900?

    As a beginner, would you recommend speed 400 or a few years old Suzuki sv650 for the same price?

    • @Geordiebiketester
      @Geordiebiketester  5 месяцев назад

      @@flesz_ as a beginner the 400 is spot on but as your skills grow you will need more grunt. I have sold bikes for over 35 years so I think I have a good insight. The little bikes are great for all the stuff like getting the hang of bikes putting them in the garage squeezing them in the shed. Parking nose down towards the kerb hauling it back up from there. All the bits I call living with a bike but once you master that you move up a bit. The down side to a SV is it’s V twin lump,if your in the wrong guy it will tell you but once it clicks and you keep it in the sweet spot it makes you a better ride. I know this as Rachael had one as her first bike and it taught her lots about correct gears out of corners. Hope this helps.
