      The correct consistancy of mud will definitely get the flat bottom of these things hung up
      I have no idea why these are considered the offroad kings. They lack in speed, and climbing for certainty. But, hell ya they go through almost anything

      @@ostacruiser i get that they accel in mud usually, but you aint going up inclines like a 1000 hp rock crawler is going. Youll be on your roof totalled if you try, and i know, you know it. Too many videos of sherps online rolling on small inclines to prove it wrong
      But mud, swamp. Sure i agree. Still slow. Id like to see someone with a suspension kit on an argo with a bike engine take a sherp on

    In Florida, we carry a boat anchor. If you get stuck you can winch against it just enough to get traction. Fun video. Seeing an Argo pull a Sherp is embarrassing.

    I once rode with a friend who got his sherp stuck back here in Nova Scotia. Came out of a lake into some marshy area and just bottomed out. Just needed a little tug from an atv to get moving. Great videos buddy keep it up!

    Being someone who rides that in that shit from time to time. It is utter gooo. Even when it is dry ish its still goo once you go through the top inch or two you start getting into trouble

    We have a guy with a work boat that moves boat lifts to the shore. He carries a trash pump to wash sand out from under his barge if he gets stuck.

      It’s a really difficult location. The trackhoe fell through beside the old bridge as the bridge had been dug out 100 feet before and after. I can find some pictures of when it first went through.

    Didnt change the tire pressure enough , you need to fill and empty the pressure and repeat until the mud push you out

    Looks like just a couple sticks just wider than the tires. And sideways not lengthways would’ve just started piling up or just started getting enough traction.

    Awesome video!!!! I know normally airing down is the answer but under the circumstances do you think that maybe airing waaaay up might have gave it the extra ground clearance to get out as the belly was high centered ? I enjoy your videos, thanks!!!!

      I agree with this. Also, if it had more RPMs to play with, the paddle tires may start to do more by slinging mud off and the side with water would create more pressure, especially if the paddles were a bit bigger.

    The one weakness with these vehicles is when they roll over. But since they are bottom heavy, if you put a roll cage on it would just roll back upright onto its wheels again, just like a Japanese Duramas doll!

    Lo mismo que en otros videos hay dificultad que lleva mas tiempo y TRABAJO "SOLO" cuando no hay una FORMA con EXPERIENCIA de MANEJO para sortear dificultades. Y es un vehículo que MARAVILLOSAMENTE puede ser una herramienta ESPECTACULAR para MUCHAS dificultades infranqueables en conjunto con el piloto. Los FELICITO por probarlos y hacernos ver este ESPECTACULAR medio de TRANSPORTE. GRACIAS.

    Do you have wenchs on this one and i have a idea for ya it is called a shovel anchor for pulling yourself out when out by your self if you have a wench

    6 guys could have pulled that out by hand with that strap I bet. I've pulled my Argo out enough times by myself by hand. It's just that tiny bit of assistance that it needs to get going. The sheep and the Argo are not usually that stuck, it only takes a little assistance in most cases.

    Got an argo 950 with Alaskan bush track's would like to do a test argo with track's vs sherp vs bv206. Thanks for posting. 1 of the best things about being Canadian is we like to get stuck lol. The Russian's have some awesome machine's as well. Hopefully after the war we can do a complete shoot out and test them all out. Thanks again for posting. Cheers

    How long did you let the tires turn before you hooked up the strap and gave it some help? I wonder it it would have eventually got out, or if it was TRULY stuck. Was it still making any progress?
    To put it another way, did you really get it stuck, or did you get bored waiting on it to come out?

    I know it’s not a recreational vehicle, but have you ever tried a Truxor in those conditions? It just might be the amphibious machine that can do it.

    I bet if you'd had all the passengers pull on the tow strap it would have walked right out. Looked like one of those times you just needed the tiniest nudge so the tires could get a little bite. You should try using an exhaust jack with the Sherp. Tip one end up a bit to plant the other and drive off of it.

    OMG! You pulled it out by the hitch!?!?!?! No Factor 55 Hitchlink, SKOOKUM 1Inch 263 Alloy Screw Pin Anchor Shackle, or Bubba Rope Off-Road Truck Recovery Gear. That hitch pull usually snaps and sends the other part through the vehicle like an RPG!

    Damn! For years of watching you drive Sherps, I always figured that they could drive the right and left wheels in opposite directions (like a tank). Just realized that’s not possible! Would have been so easy to get you out of that ditch if Sherps had opposite rotation. I guess that’s not mechanically possible?

    Looks like it takes specific mud where it’s soft enough for the Sherp to sink but solid enough for it to high center and sticky enough for the suction.
    Wild how something that can go through water can get stuck so quick on what looks like an innocent little pond.

      Wouldn’t be worth trying to fix it lol I live near a couple hours away, it’s some of the only salt water. For hours, the dozer that went through the ice had numerous problems after

    You have no idea of my skills in getting vehicles stuck. Here's a short list;
    Bobcat
    Mini-excavator
    2004 International 9400 several times.
    Various front-end loaders
    A Cat 350 excavator
    And my crowning achievement?
    D-10 High-track dozer.
    The Sherp would be stuck 😊

    The Sherps biggest disadvantage is the not being able to operate the wheels in different directions at the same time. I don’t understand why Sherp hasn’t fixed this issue yet. Seems like a fairly easy solution.
