American classic hard cover versions are the best. They are my favorite! The big size, the design, the details and the fact that there’s an illustration at the beginning of each chapter is amazing!

The Potter Collector Oh and did you know (and I realize there is a very high chance you DID know, considering what you do), that the Hungarian editions changed the names of Cornelius and the "snitch" after the first book? In the first it was translated Cornelius Badarus (badar/badarság means "nonsense" in Hungarian), changed to Cornelius Caramel. And the snitch was csikesz (pronounced cheek-ass lol), changed then to cikesz (tseek-ass).

I have never had the collector mind set for anything in my life. When I got married my husband was a collector and he had to help me understand it. Luckily, finding your videos has also helped me to understand how happy it can make someone. Many times I watch your videos simply because of the joy you exude. As someone who loves art and books, in general, I really enjoyed this video.
That is a freaking amazing collection! I had no idea there were so many translations and editions available. The braille ones are so fascinating to me.

German, YES! Fun fact: the spell edition (I own it myself) includes half an extra chapter. In PoA. The chapter were Lupin reveals everything...I also love the greek ones. I bought GoF in greek (my fav book)

I don't collect Harry Potter books (just have the American set and a few that I purchased in London back in 2003) but I am in awe of your collection! the knowledge, passion and determination to finish your collection is incredible!

I know she has said some really stupid and offensive stuff in recent years that is understandable for people to criticize, but you have to give credit where credit is due. She has helped a lot of people and causes with her wealth.

I don’t collect Harry Potter books or even just Harry Potter stuff in general, but my mum was a giant book nerd when she was younger, so she bought Harry Potter when it originally came out. She gave her copies to me, so I have original Harry Potter books, which I love - because they have original artwork as well.

What an amazing collection, Peter. Thanks for sharing. Book collecting is addictive. I collect Harry Potter books, but the different ones such as the artwork, film vault etc. I do have some different versions of the novels though like the Jim Kay special editions and Mina Lima. They are beautiful books.

I read a paperback set of UK books. :) But haven't actually read them for a few years. I listen to the audio books.
@@ThePotterCollector I tend to listen to the series on audiobook these days too. I tend to use the books for just referencing, but when I do, I always use the same set so as to keep the rest in good condition.
