So stoked our your channel! We camped up there 3 weeks ago and drove the same route, then back to Fawnskin. Soon on the list is to drive up from Green Valley Lake to Fawnskin then up to Holcomb Valley. Thanks for the inspiration to get back out there sooner than later. (We’re kind of cheating by driving a 4x4 Sprinter, but we pretend we’re driving an old VW, ha!)
Thanks! It's a beautiful place to adventure. Never cheating with a 4x4 Sprinter, If your going to pretend you'll need somebody to shake a box of stuff a hard as they can as your driving down your dirt road.... Your going to like next Wednesdays Video. Count how many times the wheels are off the ground... LoL Peace, see ya on the trail! I replied once & it didn't show up??
@@VintageOverlandAdventures HA! You’re right! And the sound is amazing, kind of like hanging out on the beach and listening to the waves gently crashing on the beach…well, sort of…😃🤙 (your first reply did not show up…looking forward to next Wednesday’s video 🚐)
Greetings from Sweden! I really enjoy tagging along on your adventures. Neat bus, fantastic landscapes! I am subscribing to your channel, but, oddly enough, your videos don’t appear in my "Subscribed" tab. Is that some kind of error, or a conscious choice you have made (some parameter or such)? (I have a ’66 double-door sunroof Kombi. I am currently repairing some rust, but I hope to have it back on the roads and into the forests before July’s end.)
Thanks for coming along for the ride! The only think I clicked was the 18 and over. I’ll look into it. Now … your bus sounds like fun, Double Door Kombi 🤩.
Love the placemat you have for your breakfast. My ma sews stuff like this. Must be nice having the service window and doors open while you enjoy your meal in the shade. I imagine you could get a nice cross breeze through there! Livin' the dream! I commented before I saw that panorama of the clearing/valley. Looks so serene!!
placemat, 99cent store... I had to have it. The Bus does open up pretty good, From a box to a open patio all in one. Enjoying my meal... I was dusted out twice and I think my almond milk was off. LoL To much fun! Do you throw a tent in Marla and go camping?
@@VintageOverlandAdventures Haven't had the chance yet (still working out some logistical stuff getting her to California), but likely this'll be "the way". Marla is toooo small to do much inside of lol. For some guys, they're too small to sit in! The ultimate dream is to snag an M100 or M465 trialer to haul extra stuff.
Thanks! They're stock VW on all Sunroof Busses and double Cargo doors also. Reproduction replacement can be purchase here... grumpysmetal.com/1960-1967-bus-deluxe-belly-pan-center.html
Not sure if it has 190,000 or 490,000 miles, but I did travel over 10,000 miles in 12 months making Overland Adventure videos last year. As for the dangerous Mojave Desert, It is important to research and plan around visits to common/popular sites. Be Safe!
3 tricked out 4x4 Jeeps, Larry in his 60+ year old 2x bus going on the same terrain. 😂
Nah those Jeeps are crazy nice, with AC..

How many miles do you have on that van? I have a minivan and am wondering if I can take those roads up there
