Nice setup! I remember camping with my family as a kid, tents, good old naphtha for everything. Can't beat the old Coleman stuff, runs circles around todays propane stuff in my opinion.
Loved these stoves because you could totally take apart, get replacement parts and clean. Only switched because I spilled too much white gas and AZ has no gas stoves during extreme drought days
@Old Volks TV the Coleman catalytic heater: I too own one and love it. Few notes, you CAN heat your bus with it (the "fumes" are not harmful) and it burns so hot that you can crack a window to help ventilate, if you choose. To properly light: Fill tank, turn upside down and let sit that way for 10 minutes (screen will soak up gas). Then turn upright and light. Flame will be large, but will burn out and then you're good to go. Do NOT pour gas directly on the screen. Safe travels and happy camping memories!
I really liked this video! I've been going back watching some of your "older" ones this is great. I have most of the same things that I too cherrish about camping with as a kid.my stuff is dated to 71 or older to go with my 71 bay. I'm still looking for a coleman camping table though. I do however have a circus driveaway tent though. cool video you always make great ones! :)
Awesome collection! Side note... I believe I heard those early Coleman heaters used asbestos wicks? Not sure so check it out for yourself! Better safe than sorry I suppose.
Subscribed!- Awesome rig, hope you have some great adventures. We just drove our 68 Scout and teardrop down from Alaska to Virginia. Nothing like some Vintage Overlanding! (check out our channel) If you get over near VA look us up!
We've got that stove too. Not from 66 though. I think more like 1994 and a lantern very similar from around the mid nineties. Loving the VW tour.
Nice setup!

I cheat now. I have a propane adapter and a 5lb bottle. I still use the 425 tho, because theyrebsuper easy to clean! Thanks for watching!
I slept in the kids cot when I was five, I quickly outgrew it. Fun times.

👨👩👦 Família BacBar ✍️ por aqui marcando presença 🥰
i have lots of Coleman lanterns. If you're interested, I'll look through all my red, single mantle ones and see if any of them are '66.
I could defenetly use a 66 200a!
Love your co star💜💜💜
She's pretty good on camera
In my Boy Scout troop we have a Coleman stove like that
You should use the spigot from time to time or the washers inside will dry up and crack.
They cracked a long time ago. I'm working on a way to reuse it with air pressure.
Great video man! What part of Texas are you in? I'm in East. I hope meet you sometime.
I just read your description. Round Rocks not far. I'm sure Ill see you at a show sometime.
Thanks! We're out in Austin but there's Old Volks all over Texas. I'm sure we'll cross paths at a show soon!
