My car is at the airport and I lost my key fob but have the card - don’t recall setting up the card. So When I arrive tomorrow will I still be able to start the car with the card?
For what? Showing a car thief that if he finds the main key fob in the car he can steal it? Another gimmick for idiots. Even if you leave the FOB at home the system looks cheezy...as if BMW doesn't have enough electric issues...
Only when setting up. After that you can just carry the card and keep it in your wallet. Pretty cool if you don’t wanna pack your pockets and just bringing your wallet and phone with you.
Thanks to this video, I found out my car came with a card. Owned it for 3 months and didn’t even know. Saved myself from ordering a new card.

Excellent video but absurd idea because you have to have the key fob with you which makes the digital key redundant.
You do not have to have to fob with you. You only need to fob to SETUP the digal key for the first time.

Works very bad, for 3 bmws i owned it stopped reliably working after a couple of months. Real shame on bmw
