So heartwarming to see the Ferrari & Toyota teams hugging each other afterwards - they're not enemies, they're competitors & will all celebrate together afterwards.. love it💓
To me as a wec enjoyer and also big f1 fan since about 2 months, the spicy thing I enjoy is that the drivers literally have to endure 6 (24) hours in the race, and don't have a tome-window of not changing or just slightly changing conditions... also that a bad decision, or bad luck pulls through the whole race. It's really refreshing to watch, including the wec ruleset and innovations, and that wec is proud and indipendend without a need to chase that formula 1 entity.
Watched it live on motorsporttv! The emotions were moving, and scenes were intense! Absolutely legendary drive lifting and coasting to keep just %2 fuel remaining was epic! The last hour was just nailbiting! A four-hour safety car, a door that wouldn't close and un unscheduled stop and a penalty.. Just Epic!
Tom Kristensen needs to be protected at all times. Such a great steward of Motorsport. Outstanding race. Have to compliment the commentary team. I thought I was going to fast forward through the (spoiler alert) 4 hours of safety car in the wet, but somehow the commentary team did not run out of things to say, or become boring. Top Top Top work. Also, Louise Beckett, what a joy to have you back in the pitlane. Great race and great job everyone involved in the broadcast
Its funny how if a GT3 driver crashes whilst trying to let a Hypercar through, then commentators say he should have held hiss line as normal, but if a GT3 driver holds his line and rightfully impedes a Hypercar, then the commentators say he wasn't looking. Can't win...
Martin just won’t mind track limits. Less is more, but mainly he is unwilling to be a real host and share without dominating or arguing. So nice when he is in his caravan.
Ferrari in WEC and F1 have taken a lot of guff for some of their pit calls, but they nailed this one. After having to pit the car early and go out of sequence to fix the door at an hour and 43 minutes to go, they refueled the car and got it just within the window so it could pit again at 50 minutes from the end and get to the finish. They also forced Toyota's hand by not taking on tires on the last stop to protect track position and forcing Toyota to not take on tires in their stop.

I can really understand Kamui regarding winning here as being so much dependent on 'luck' - last year he was doing so well, & got rear-ended - not his fault at all; this year the #8, in a podium position, got turned around by the #51 that ended up on the podium instead - who knows, maybe instead of the #8? The problem I have with the 5-second penalty issued to the #51 is that the #8 lost a lot more than 5 seconds in that incident - surely the penalty must be related to the damage done to the victim?...🤔+ I've never before seen an 'unsafe release' like the #50 did, and a penalty not be issued - what's going on??
