They needed minimum preliminary evidence to justify a raid. They need such evidence when applying for a warrant to be legally allowed to perform a raid. This camp being so secluded and off the grid probably made the process of gathering evidence more lengthy.

They should face several charges, including:
-Violation of the Regulation of Foreign Military Assistance Act (RFMAA): This act regulates the provision of foreign military assistance and prohibits South African citizens and foreigners from engaging in mercenary activities or unauthorized military assistance without the necessary authorization from the government.
-Violation of the Prohibition of Mercenary Activities and Regulation of Certain Activities in Country of Armed Conflict Act: This law prohibits mercenary activities and the involvement of South Africans or foreign nationals in armed conflicts outside the country without authorization.
-Possession of Unlawful Weapons or Ammunition: If found with unauthorized military-grade weapons or ammunition, you could be charged under the Firearms Control Act.
-Terrorism-related Charges: Depending on the nature of the training and the intent behind it, you could also face charges under the Protection of Constitutional Democracy Against Terrorist and Related Activities Act, which criminalizes terrorist activities and the support of terrorist organizations.

I fully agree... many other countries would just lock them up forever, regardless of being guilty of any of these charges.
The problem in South Africa is that if they are charged with any offences - then the government admits to being in the dark about it... and Government Intelligence should also be facing charges!

Previous "military camps" has a different context to this one. In the past they related mostly to apartheid killers' training camps against our people. South Africa is now a 'democratic, free state.' There is nothing that necessitates such to be exiting anymore. So, what is the purpose of this one, how come RSA allows same? The answer to these questions will not remove the illegality, threat posing nature of this to our wellbeing as Suth Africa, nothing excuses the existence of same on our land.

International media knows so much about this country than we do... We have poor security I mean if the residents kept silent we wouldn't have known about this... I don't think it's the only camp they have in this country and We have so many illegal military bases in South Africa, foreign gangs from Nigeria in all our cities, its head quarters in Johannesburg Hillbrow.. we have Zim gangs, Malawi, Mozambique, Mexico, etc.. South Africa is not a country but a playing ground.. I'm starting to think Apartheid was better than this so called democracy, even our own citizens commit crimes and still blames apartheid for their uncivilised behaviour.. .. we don't have competent leaders but so called comrades... The Libians probably walked through the so called fence along our border under the raidar to come and do there training with home affairs not knowing anything about it and you probably find the TAX PAYERS and rate payers are funding a portion of it with out consenting for these shenanigans going on right in front of our eye's and we as citizen's of our beloved country South Africa have no clue what is going on !!!🤔🤔😡😡

In my openion we cannot speak in South Africa of a 100% professional intelligence agency, for it to be we need government to match which we up and till now do not have. I guess 30 years hasn't been long enough or we do not have truly professional intelligence training personnel, making it just the same side of a coin altogether.

How can the internal security forces and most importantly the Government departments, and any other departments, so many to mention NOT know that thos is going on within the boarders of South Africa?
But more than the above this is going to put SA in even a worse international standing that they already in!?
Everyone knows that extremist and terrorist organisations train all over the world at the easiest country's that are either sympathetic or are in line with some of these groups???

    1. The training center was registered with PSIRA.
    2. The Lybians said on the visa applications that they are coming to SA for security training.
    3. Every security guard /bodyguard goes through training in " camps " like this.

I know of similar camps being managed in the Western Cape, and these guys proudly wear Hamas Emblems since before the attack on israel.
Rumours have it they were trained how to fly motorized gliders in south africa for the attacks on israel.
Even america warned us many times about this and government denied it.
And now its apparantly a shock.
    Pfff, cele allowed this
