Watching Scream before Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th...? Honestly surprized. They being so old I figured everyone that watches scary movies would of seen them by now. I consider Friday the 13th funner just not funnier. between the 2. Freddy scares me more so is less fun on that mark.
For Scream 3, you were right about the woman playing Sidney in Stab being a killer. I believe in the original script, she and Roman were supposed to be the killers. There was a box set and in this booklet, they had all the victims and she wasn't one of them. Because the script was leaked, there were a lot of rewrites which is why they make that joke about another rewrite and having multiple scripts.
14:30 This scene will ALWAYS be iconic! Randy (Jaime Kennedy) telling Jaime Lee Curtis to "Watch out Jaime and turn around" while he himself needs to watch out and turn around is PRICELESS.
While the actor himself is also named Jamie. So when we watch it, we could actually be saying the same thing - “Watch out Jamie. Turn around…” That’s meta on whole other level! 🤯
@@wesleyb5061 the dynamic is why you return especially when there is an iconic final girl like sure everyone loves ghostface but everyone loves sidney too its the dynamic
FUN FACT--- credit to screenrant "It turns out that Billy's pain in this scene was completely real. Though the umbrella had a retractable tip and Ulrich wore a protective vest under his shirt to protect himself from potential injury, Sidney's second stab of the umbrella missed the vest. It stabbed Ulrich on his chest instead, which ended up impacting a wound from an open heart surgery operation the actor had when he was ten years old. In the end, Craven decided to use the footage of Ulrich's genuine pain in the final cut of Scream, which adds not only realism, but also an interesting behind-the-scenes story for fans of the director's slasher movie franchise."
This video must’ve taken you FOREVER to film and edit, and yet you still included all of the best moments. You’re an icon, a legend, and you ARE the moment. New sub!
Except, she talked through many of the great scenes/lines during the first movie, not paying attention, and did not include "the rules". I had to turn off. It was annoying
This was a great react 😂 I'm sorry you didn't like Scream 4 though. I've actually always thought it's the 2nd strongest entry after the original. You gotta remember that this film came out back in 2011 when EVERY horror movie was getting a remake (the whole "reboot" thing hadn't really caught on yet). So Scream 4 was quite unique in that it was a film about "remaking" the original, but it was actually a direct continuation that satirised the remake craze. But, more importantly, it was a sharp criticism of Hollywood's tendency to replace the original stars of a franchise with a "fresh young cast" because the original actors were "too old" to lead a movie. And that's why Jill is the perfect villain for this film. She's set up as "the new Sidney" (and many people at the time really did believe that Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, and some of the other younger actors were going to replace Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette, because that's what Hollywood tends to do once an actor hits their late 30s). So having this "new star" of the franchise turn out to be the villain is just perfect satire. Like, her motivation is LITERALLY to replace Sidney (she even outright says: "𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘦, 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘦. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥 - 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘵'𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘵, 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮'𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧."). And having the "old model" straight up murder her for "fucking with the original" is just the perfect cherry on top. So Scream 4's got a special place in my heart because (aside from just being a fun horror flick) it was Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson's way of giving a giant middle finger to the whole "she's too old to lead a franchise" attitude that 99% of film executives had (and, unfortunately, still seem to have). I love that the film presented us with this shiny new teenaged cast, but instead of taking over, by the end of the film 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱 and it turns out the "new heroine" of the franchise is a narcissistic sociopath whose willing to (literally) stab her own mother in the back just to get her 15 minutes. And I've gotta give the team some bonus points for their weirdly prescient criticism of the internet's fame-obsessed influencer culture where we grade our self-worth by how many followers we have ["𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴. 𝙄 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙖𝙣𝙨.."]. Like, again, this was 2011. Before Instagram, before "don't forget to like and subscribe", before the Kardashians managed to nothing their way to the top. So massive credit to Wes, Kevin, and the rest of the crew for seeing exactly where our culture was headed waaay before we got there. [I mean, Jill straight-up called it: "𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘯𝘰𝘸. 𝘞𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘵. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦? 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜. 𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘷𝘦 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘱 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶."] 😂 Anyway, rant over (big sorry for the essay - I'm a total dork for the Scream series), but cheers for the exceptional commentary - this was 100% the content I needed to start my day aha (and dw, I'm defs gonna like and subscribe). Stay excellent 👌
I don't know if is the case here, but at the time of this movie's release, Emma Roberts was not known for her current type of roles. Scream 4 was supposed to be a remake/reboot of the franchise, she would be the new final girl, or at least that was what was thought. If you know her now, and the kind of roles she often do, it's way easier to suspect her.
I mean, her first guess were Trevor and Kirby and sustained that through the whole movie, and she was suspicious of Hicks, then towards the very end suspected three killers with Jill being one of them. When it's that late into the movie and not being the initial guess, I wouldn't really count that in my opinion :)
I was not thinking it was her until Sidney made her crawl under the bed toward the end. If you look at her face, she doesn't look at all scared, like an innocent person would look. She looks like she is waiting for the next thing to happen because she knows something.
I can't believe I watched the entire 2 hours and 21 minutes. This was fun. What a way to end the spooky season. I enjoyed your commentary and the festive breaks in between each movie. Happy Halloween!
Absolutely my ranking here, with 5 & 6 I should switch back and forth. To each their own on what their favorites are, but anyone who puts Scream 2 & 3 above 4/5/6 I just have to roll my eyes so hard. 2 is beyond overrated for it simply being the original sequel and imo, Scream 3 suddenly being praised more just to stick it to the newer sequels.
I think Scream 4 is super slept on, it's in my top 3 honestly. I really hoped Scream 5 and 6 would've explored Sam's hallucinations more and made us think "is this real?" more often. I REALLY hope Sam is the killer in the next one, if they make a new one, and we see it from her perspective but we're still unaware it's her. The reveal and 3rd act in 6 really ruins it for me just like 3, which is why those 2 are the bottom. Everything else in 6 is great but Scream has to have a good reveal and killer/motive and 3&6 just don't imo. Scream Scream 5 Scream 4 Scream 2 Scream 6 Scream 3
In case you're wondering why Scream 3 was underwhelming, the film we got wasn't the one originally planned. Originally, they were gonna bring back Stu for that one running a entire cult of Ghostface killers but unfortunately Columbine happened and that plan was scrapped (something they could revive for 7), which also answers your "why wouldn't Stu be dead" question: he's not and there was even a scientific study done on whether that model TV being dropped on a person's head and that study confirmed death from that is highly unlikely.
Honestly, after seeing the assembly cut of Scream 3, it could've been a much better movie. The Stephen King trivia, Sidney's entire first phone call with ghostface. Kinda sad how they cut those parts out, would've made the ghostface here more memorable imo if he had those moments.
I had no idea about the columbine thing, I guess I just like that movie for what it is, probably my least favorite in the franchise. But seeing the original at age 7, Ghost face legit feels like a part of my childhood. As long as they can keep a story line goin I hope they make like 15 scream movies
I don't know why people attribute the TV as his cause of death when he had multiple stab wounds and was bleeding out before that even happened. Pretty sure the combination was more than enough to do him in
Can’t believe I just watched a 2+ hour reaction to the entire Scream series which I’ve seen multiple times. It was so fun watching your reactions being a newbie to the series. Scream is definitely my favorite horror series. My personal ranking is 1,2,4,5,6,3
Kacee, and The innocent inadvertent use of "Twat" "Wait, what is that ?" I can’t with this. 😂 I’m 4/6 in, and just wanted to say, Thank you for the crazy effort you put into this reaction. Who could ask for more than a Scream marathon on Halloween ? The only thing that could have made this better was if hubby Anthony had joined you. Dos Cavazos is the shizzle.
I rarely comment, but I had to now, in order to compliment the structure of this video. Good ideas and execution in editing. The transitional segments between the reactions made it very cozy and kept me good company while multitasking and drinking coffee lol
I totally agree, they both seem fun af to watch a horror movie with. I don’t jump or scream at all, I just thoroughly enjoy horror, but watching with these kinda folks makes the movie more fun
@@DosCavazos I've been a fan of Scream ever since the first one came out and love horror movies got a lot of them please keep these videos coming happy new year .
I think I'm the only person on the planet whose favorite of the original trilogy is Scream 3. I love that the movie aims for that "slasher franchise running out of ideas" tone. Everything's a little campy, there's goofy celebrity cameos, the violence is toned down, the comedy is ramped up, here's a massive plot twist that retcons the previous two films, by the way the killer is your secret sibling - it's a perfect embodiment of all the problems that plague slasher sequels, and it does it so well.
I couldn't agree more! 3 is just a really good 'fun' slasher and loops everything back to the beginning. I loved that Roman was responsible for exposing the affair between Maureen Prescott and Billy's dad and gave him a little direction. After all, he did say, "I'm a director, Sydney. That's what I do. I direct." Freaking chef's kiss! The Rina Reynolds backstory with the studio was so entertaining and interesting - plus it felt possible. Not to mention Roman was a one man show. Like Kirby, I also will give points that he didn't have a partner. I know all the Angelina stuff that was planned, to which I say whatever, it didn't happen so I don't care. He started the whole trilogy and I *love* that retcon! People who passionately dislike this movie have the right to but I think it was a really good full circle moment for the first 3 movies. And you could tell the actors were having a really good time. Parker Posey was such a treat in it too!
I've seen every single Scream movie in the theater. I am the cliche millennial fan of Scream that got turned on to horror movies because of it. Now I get all of my enjoyment from watching other people watch it for the first time :) Thank you
At 2:15:27, The SCREAM franchise is really interesting for a number of things. One interesting thing is this. In SCREAM 6 when talking to Gale, Ghost face addresses himself as "I" have never talked to you before. One interesting fan theory that has existed pretty much since the third film, Is that GHOST FACE himself is immortal. This is backed around the idea that different people put on the mask and bring him "To life". He always seems super resilient, like Michael Myers. But ONCE THEY ARE UNMASKED, they're just themselves and become mortal again. Each group of killers adds something to GHOST FACE's legacy. Ever since Sydney's brother Roman, used the vest, GHOST FACE has been statistically bullet proof ever since. Despite the fact that none of the other killers ever used a vest. It's like, just putting on the costume with intent, turns you into him. Until you're unmasked. Then you lose the power. It's just a fan theory. But I personally think it makes the franchise waay more interesting. Also, I really liked Scream 4. Basically at this point, whenever a new SCREAM movie comes out, it basically comments on the state of the horror genre altogether. I think that's why it's still so awesome. Also, 5 & 6 were the first films not to be directed by Wes Craven. So when Chad raises a toast to Wes in S.5, he's actually toasting the director. Also Also, the actors that played Dewy and Gail. They actually met on the set of Scream 1. Then got married for several years. ❤❤❤
The first scream is legendary! The intro is perfect. Such a good movie. And ya can’t complain about the others either. They’re all good films. One of the best consistent franchises out there.
I'd put 4 above 1 (barely, and depends on my mood), and 2 about tied with 5 (while it has pacing and production issues, the dialogue flow just works so well), but still similar. 6's ladder setpiece may be my favourite in the entire genre.
I hope they bring back Kirby. I don’t know if she would fit into that one but they just brought her back and made her survive so I would enjoy to see more of her.
grew up obsessed w the original, despite had not watched that many horror films as a kid... but my first theater Scream was no.4 and I looove that entry
Reaction videos are a great way to watch a movie "again for the first time." This has become my favorite horror franchise for the twists, the humor, the dialog... oh and the horror elements. Ive watched every Scream movie in theater opening night. I grab the dvd (bluray) the day they release in store. Watching your reaction vid was a great recap of the franchise, and in the time it takes to watch a full movie. You didn't disappoint. Gonna be checking out more of your stuff. I'm a fan. Cheers!
I’ve been a fan of SCREAM since the original came out back in 96 and loved every single one! Regardless of ranking, it goes to show just how much fun each one of them are in their own way. GREAT ranking list! Respect you so much for your own reasons for loving it and disliking certain things. Your thoughts are appreciated and valued! My list goes as following: 1) Scream (96) 2) Scream 2 3) Scream 6 4) Scream (2022) 5) Scream 4 6) Scream 3 Look familiar? Because it is! Our rankings match! So cool, you got good taste!
I just discovered this channel by seeing this video in my recommendations. I really liked this video, the reactions were great and I really liked the vlog elements in it. It really gave it an movie marathon touch. I enjoyed every single minute of it. :)
That was actually pretty cool. When i saw 2h21 i was like "mmmmh that's kinda short for 6 movies" (spcially with the cooking sessions and all :p) but it was good cause we all know the movies already so the key moments are enough. Not the best score on finding out the killers tho :D (even if it's not easy most of the time)
Very true, I just watched 6 a few weeks ago and couldn’t really remember 4 and 5 really well so instead of watching the whole movie I watched a couple reactions to both, way quicker, got the gist, and got to watch a couple of my favorite reactors react to them
Smart to do all 6. Even if they might have lost some views for doing it and not getting clicks for all 6 videos. I like that they let the whole series play as one.
Ah man, I loved this!!! I love the intro to everyone of these. It made it so special and an experience to watch. Also those cupcakes looked very cute!!!
Just incase you aren’t aware Mellissa Barrera who plays (Sam) in scream 5 got fired recently for stating her opinion on Palestine and making some comments. A day after Jenna Ortega Quit. Her schedule was already busy with her working on Beetle Juice 2, Wednesday S2 & other projects but she is friends with Mellissa so this made it easier for her to quit not to continue general So the carpenter sisters story basically ended at 6. There are rumors they want Sidney & Mark who’s played by (Patrick Demsey) Mcsteamy to come back as the main focus since they are husband & wife.
Glad to hear that the Carpenter sisters are out. I can't stand 5 & 6, mostly due to those two. It would be awesome to have Sidney and Mark back and take the story somewhere else. The whole "Billy's ghost" thing was horrible.
This has been a fun journey. I had literally watched IV, V and VI with my mom last week but when I saw this video, I jumped at it. Also...you're not the only one who wished Sam could end up being a Ghostface. Tara too for me. She enjoyed stabbing Ethan a litttle too much. 😂 As for my rankings... 1. Scream 2. Scream 4 3. Scream 6 4. Scream 5 5. Scream 2 6. Scream 3 Welcome to the Fandom!
Little fun fact actress who played casey COULD fit through the cat door so they had to shoot the scene several times until she was able to pretend she couldn't fit, also yes the janitor is dressed as freddy kreuger it's a nod to director wes craven who also directed nightmare on elm Street and the janitor is played by wes craven. Another nod to that franchise is that sidneys home address is on elm Street
Also Jill Roberts (Scream 4 killer) was supposed to be the daughter of Billy and Sidney. She had given her to the aunt to raise. It was supposed to be a reveal in the 3rd act after Charlie dies. That was when Jill was supposed to win and survive to the sequel. Sidney was supposed to be very hurt and suffering from memory loss. Would have been fun to see. Kind of wish we had gotten that ending. We never see the killer win!
Good job, the video was great and I like how you did it in this format. Don't do this every time, but it's welcomed with the movies that have multiples....def can't wait to see more.
As a huge Scream fan, I agree with your ranking. That’s my ranking as well. I’m so glad that you had a great time doing a Scream-a-thon! Welcome to the Scream fandom 😁
You're one of the few reactors I've seen that dislike 4. My ranking is from best to least is 4, 5, 1, 6, 2, 3. 3 just felt so convoluted and out of nowhere, though it's mostly because of all the rewrites. And I still enjoy all of them; there is no bad Scream movie, in my opinion, but it's my favorite horror franchise, maybe even my favorite franchise of all time!
This was the first video I stumbled upon for your guys’ channel, and it was a great one to introduce me to your content!! I happen to love scream and seeing you watch all the movies for the first time was a delight! New subscriber definitely earned!
One of the things that bug the hell out of me with the most recent Screams is how whoever puts on the Ghostface costume gets super strength. It's just so absurd. In scream 5 when Dewey gets man handled by Amber in the hospital who is a 5'3" 110 girl is so ridiculous. I know they want to keep people from guessing who it could be but there's better ways to get around this without leaning on mysticism bullshit and checking your brain at the door.
1. That's always been the case. Stu was able to get Kenny's body on top of Gale's van by himself in a matter of seconds. Kenny outweighed him by at least a hundred pounds. 2. Not only can females be strong, but at no point does Amber manhandle Dewey. HE manhandled her. She only killed him by taking him by surprise. So basically your own imagination bugged you about these movies. Lol
@@Joker_JAK I realize that some people like yourself can live in delusion. However, a dainty little girl is at no point going to be be strong enough to physically try to overpower a 180+ pound man as they portrayed her doing. She comes out of the door with a knife pushing him up against the wall with her weight trying to stab him. Then after some wrestling flips him to the ground while she gets on top trying once again to overpower him with the knife. Yes, she fails but the fact they act it up like it's a near even match is laughable at best... Lol
@@Khay-77It's definitely possible since I've seen it happen in person. Besides, IT'S A FUCKING MOVIE! Most of what happens in any of these films wouldn't happen that way in real life. Seems like you can't handle fiction. So maybe try sticking to documentaries. These dumbasses who can't handle fictional things in fictional movies and crying about it are so fucking sad, but also hilarious. Lol
Didn't Nancy yank Randy in the van and flung him around before killing him? Roman was able to push a whole bookcase off himself to overpower a much bigger man in Cotton. Charlie or Jill was able to kill two grown cops, put them in the car, and drive the car away from the scene of the crime. Jill was able to beat Dewey unconscious. Stu or Billy was able to hoist a 200+ pound man on the top of a whole van in the matter of minutes. Like, ridiculous feats have always been a staple in Scream films. Only the two new films have been nitpicked to hell and back. Amber never overpowered Dewy. She surprised attacked him against the wall, he overpowered her and flip her to the ground, and she used his momentum to bring him down as well. When she killed him, he was distracted and she never lifted him up, he was standing on the tips of his toes because the knives were being driven upward.
i watched all of the scream movies back in november and i already knew who the killers were for the 1st movie because it has been out for awhile. i also knew the killers for the 4th movie for the same reason lol. then i knew only one of the killers for the 5th movie because social media. it was fun guessing who each killer(s) was for the rest
I love the Scream movies with a passion, i love them ALL. It is kinda ironic and funny that my #1 favorite franchises first kill ever is a guy named steve, just like me lol
Courtney Cox and David Arquette got married sometime between one of the movies and later divorced so in Scream 5 when they re-unite and he then dies, they were both actually emotional about it behind the scenes.
I love your reaction to all the movies it was so fun to watch!! My ranking is... 1. Scream & Scream VI 2. ScreaIVI & Screa4m 3. Scr3am & Scream 2 1. The original is amazing and perfect and the best always and forever
Sam was not well liked when Scream 5 came out and it was for a lot reason (i dont agree with any of the reasons tbh) but in the sixth one the fandom really loved her because the movie actually showed case her so much better and she was so badass and we are now just expectiting to see how brutal Sam can be when it comes to killing ghostface.
I don't like either of the sisters. Since those two actresses will probably not be back, I hope they take the story somewhere else. 5 & 6 are the weakest of the series. The characters in the new series aren't endearing except for perhaps Chad and his sister. Maybe they could come back and do something but the Carpenter sisters need to go.
I don’t know what it is but Melissa Barrera seems half-asleep during Scream 5. Her performance is just awful. But then in Scream 6, she’s actually pretty good. Idk what happened cause it was the same actress, same directors, and same writers for both, but I am one of those people who did not like her in 5. I can’t even put my finger on it. I think it’s her dialogue in 5 that is unconvincing or something. But in 6 she’s very proactive and more likeable.
My ranked 1) scream 1 (The original always the best 2) Scream 4 (idk i just loved it) 3)Scream 3 (Jennifer was funny the way she said my lawyer liked that) 4)Scream 2 (a good 2nd movie) 5)Scream 5 (i didn't like it that much bc dewey died but i liked amber 6) Scream 6 (idk it just didn't do it for me for some reason
That was really enjoyable watching someone react to them for the first time, I've seen all of them multiple times now, I love them but I do sometimes wish I could watch them for the first time again, I can't wait for 7!
Try Ready or Not…another horror comedy film with Samara Weaving (the professor who was killed at the beginning of the last installment) in it and she’s super badass!
Fun Fact: (or just a cool rewatch detail i guess) in scream 96 If you go back and look out at the dark patio before he mentions it, you can see Steve there already if you look closely. Ghostface is my favorite slasher, these movies are so fun.
Interesting that 4 is so low on your list because it's a fan favorite haha. As was Kirby which is why they brought her back 🥰 The comment about if Stu is actually dead or not is a fan theory that they wrote in lol. The 6th movie actually became my favorite. I really love it. I had no idea who the killers were and I thought it was a very good reveal. And I thought they wrote Sam way better than in the 5th one. I didn't care for her in that, but I really liked her in 6. My ranking is 6 4 1 5 3 2 I don't dislike any of the movies, but I think the 3 and 2 are the weaker ones.
i think 6 is the weakest. the worst villain reveals with the worst and longest monologues. i like that the newer Scream movies have a more brutal killer(s) but the depth of the plot is just not good. not to mention the weak characters. but man, the last movie has its work cut out for it losing its two leads.
Jenna's character was the most interesting character in these sequels, so i don't agree with that. but i do agree that the lead character made for such an uninteresting plot as well as character. but i get what you're saying with the last two movies being hella weak because it was trying to ride the coat tails of prior characters by making up relatives. so far that has never worked out for the series. not in Scream 2. not in scream 4 (and i love 4). and not in these latest ones. making people related doesn't suddenly make the plot interesting.@@pattierotondo1108
also gotta remember the writing is the first and foremost culprit of how bad the last 2 movies were. no actor can save bad writing and direction.@@IeuanGould
One of my favorite characters is Randy. My favorite scene in the first one is Randy is watching Halloween and yelling at Laurie/Jamie Lee Curtis to turn around... Meanwhile Randy's real name is Jamie Kennedy and Ghost face is coming up behind him. Meanwhile WE'RE telling Jamie to turn around. Talk about Meta 😅👏 People often overlook that small detail so I thought I'd say it. Now that I read the comments I noticed someone else said it too,
I don't much like the new ones either. The Carpenter sisters are annoying imo. I like that Kirby came back and some of the supporting cast is good, but those two aren't engaging at all.
I didn’t like the new ones either. The writing and character development just wasn’t there for me and I found myself rooting for the killer to get the sisters more often than not. (And Mindy, wish they would the got Mindy lol) BUT, now that Neve is coming back and Kevin is directing I’m excited for a Scream movie again!!!!!
This was so much fun watching all of these with you. Very cool approach to getting through all the movies as a reaction. I love the new movies as well, aside from the first Scream, the new movies are actually my favorites. So ur rankings are definitely pretty good. Thanks for putting in all the time to make this video. Great work and fun reactions!
Thanks for this reaction. You did an amazing job on this video! Love the transitions as much as the movies. I did see every single Scream movie in the theatre, since the beginning...until this last one. I was so disappointed with Scream (2022) that as soon as the killer was revealed, I got up and left. I had no desire to see the rest, as it was evident the magic was gone, and they couldn't recapture what made the first few special. Maybe I'll try newer ones someday, but I doubt it. Anyway, thanks again for the trip down memory lane.
Just do what I do, I don’t expect too much and just enjoy them for what they are. To me ghost face is so iconic that I’m just happy they’re still pumping these movies out.
scream 5 is INFINITELY better than scream 3 and was all around fun, i honestly dont get your complaints at all especially if you enjoyed 3 i watched it once and now i mention how bad it is every time i can just to get some value out of that time wasted its honestly one of the worst movies iv ever watched cause its just pure boredom being tortured would honestly be better cause then at least id feel something lmao "oh im your long lost brother from a career never mentioned or set up" just so stupid and with the completely underwhelming kills to and idc that they had restrictions id rather them of just not made the trash and made a proper 3 later
@@imalittletoxicjustalittle I think your analysis is spot on. People are blinded by nostalgia, and don't see how messy and nonsensical Scream 3 is. 4, 5, and 6 are all made with much more love for the series and a better understanding of how the movies work.
@@Cynicayke 3 was not scripted by the original screenplay writer Kevin Williamson. He just scripted 1,2 & 4. So there could be a better end-part, if they just would have waited some time... 🔥 From my point of view, they should have stopped after "SCRE4M"... 🎭🔪📀
Great reaction Dos Cavazos! Specifically, Kacee Cavazos! If you two haven't had a chance to react to Scary Movie(2000 parody of Scream & I Know What You Did Last Summer) I recommend you both check it out. If you two haven't seen it before! I think you two will get a good laugh out of it for sure! Once again, great reaction Dos Cavazos! Happy Halloween to you both!
Dos Cavazos Angelina will always be the 2nd Ghostface in Scream 3 to me because most of the scenes she is in make her look suspicious House Gas explosion Bathroom stall scene Death scene
I remember going to see Scream 2 in the theater and me and my friend laughing out loud at Jada's WAY over the top "death throes" and got all kinds of rude stares from people. It was just so, so over the top and badly acted that we laughed by reflex. I still groan every time I see it.
Seeing all these movies back to back and watching the genius behind it, it’s soooooooo good, like some people find this stuff cheesy but it’s actually sooooooooo good!!!
I will always remember the first time I watched scream. I was like 7 or 8, with my sister and her friend. This was back on vhs and during the summer. First time ghost face popped up on the tv we all screamed and paused it on his face 😂😂
Hi Kacee!😊 Congratulations, you are no longer a SCREAM virgin!!!👏👏👏👏 You are correct, the films were supposed to originally end as a trilogy. I agree that "Scream 4" felt a little weak after the first three films. Yeah, for some reason many people did not like Sam in "Scream 5". I thought she was good and did an even better job in "Scream 6". Great job reacting to the entire Scream franchise up to now!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏👏
1. What I like most about doing this is watching people overthink it. Thank GOD for the twist ending. 2. Cell phones weren't prevalent in 1996. 3. This is a movie to watch if you want to have fun. 4. The principal was the Fonz/Henry Winkler. 5. Tatum/Rose McGowan has permission to sit on my face.😋😍 6. I love how the inept killer keeps getting his ass kicked🤣
I have not only seen all 7 Scream movies in the theater...I saw all 7 on Opening night! Midnights on Thursdays as luck would have it! Worth all of the effort. Enjoy your Slasher Baptism!

Hi I'm a huge Scream fan, and I absolutely enjoyed this video. It's awesome to see new Scream fans. I've been a fan since I was 6 I'm 23 now.
@@kodytiffany5686 I seen them all as a young kid.
Please watch Scary Movie after this!
I love Casey's approach of accusing literally every character in the movie that way when the killer is revealed she can saw I knew it lol
Accuracy through volume, if you accuse everyone, eventually you’ll be right.
14:30 This scene will ALWAYS be iconic! Randy (Jaime Kennedy) telling Jaime Lee Curtis to "Watch out Jaime and turn around" while he himself needs to watch out and turn around is PRICELESS.
And yet, ironically, NOT turning around actually kinda saved him.
While the actor himself is also named Jamie. So when we watch it, we could actually be saying the same thing - “Watch out Jamie. Turn around…” That’s meta on whole other level! 🤯
YES AND MORE BECAUSE HIS REAL NAME IS ALSO JAIMIE
& that was Skeet in the costume, the only time he wore it
Ghostface may be the the iconic image of the Scream franchise and merchandise but Sidney Prescott is the star of the Scream movies
True, but you also don’t see people wearing lorie strode costumes, final girls are dope but the killers are why we watch
*Sidney
Yeah I agree. The new cast are like the children of the OG's. Both are great, but as always, you cannot beat the OG's.
Yes, and "Dewey" could be in the same way iconic, an iconic Anti-Hero-Hero, if they hadn't killed him off in 5. 🎭
@@wesleyb5061 the dynamic is why you return especially when there is an iconic final girl like sure everyone loves ghostface but everyone loves sidney too its the dynamic
FUN FACT--- credit to screenrant
"It turns out that Billy's pain in this scene was completely real.
Let's not forget, Scott Foley got truly stabbed by that ice pick in the back too.
𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘷𝘦 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘱 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶."] 😂
Anyway, rant over (big sorry for the essay - I'm a total dork for the Scream series), but cheers for the exceptional commentary - this was 100% the content I needed to start my day aha (and dw, I'm defs gonna like and subscribe). Stay excellent 👌
I'm so surprised you suspected Jill .... she was the most surprising reveal for me because she seemed just like Sidney being a victim
Yeah Jill was most surprising to me too lol
I called jill and charlie from the trailer. Besides the first movie Scream 4 was the one i predicted immediately.
I did the same, totally worth it, my fav horror franchise and she does them all in one vid! 🔥🔥
Me too 👍
So did I.
My rankings are 1,4,6,5,2,3. I love how different everyone’s rankings are for this series and how there isn’t a bad movie in the series.
Same ranking here!! 🙌🏼
Same ranking here! 👍
For me: 1,2,5,4,3, I haven't seen 6 yet.
Mine is 1, 4, 2, 6, 5, and 3. Scream is the most consistent horror series out of them all and they’re all enjoyable in their own way :)
Scream
Scream 5
Scream 4
Scream 2
Scream 6
Scream 3
Roman is strongest 😂
Stu is dead.
@littlebigbunnyrabbit9520 Those cuts from Scream 3 were filmed after Kevin Williamson dropped out. Stu returning was already scrapped at that point.
I don't know why people attribute the TV as his cause of death when he had multiple stab wounds and was bleeding out before that even happened. Pretty sure the combination was more than enough to do him in
Love that Jason called out the professor for not realizing how obvious it was, and then fell into the exact same trick
Can’t believe I just watched a 2+ hour reaction to the entire Scream series which I’ve seen multiple times. It was so fun watching your reactions being a newbie to the series. Scream is definitely my favorite horror series. My personal ranking is 1,2,4,5,6,3
Sidney is beyond iconic but the magic of this franchise is the backstory and having Gale as the +1 no other horror movie comes close to.
Kacee, and The innocent inadvertent use of "Twat"
"Wait, what is that ?"
I can’t with this. 😂
I’m 4/6 in, and just wanted to say, Thank you for the crazy effort you put into this reaction.
Thank you so much! 😊

It's my favorite after 1. I highly enjoyed 3. It was the most meta to me also.
3 is so good. I don't understand the hate behind it. It has the best twist in the whole franchise
Exactly
I love 3. I’m also happy to see that as more time passes more ppl seem to be coming around to it.
I could watch 100 more Scream films following Sidney. So incredibly excited that she is coming back for 7!!!
Yeah, same :).
That scream 2 opening hit different now that Jada is insufferable 😂
"Keep your Knife out of my fucking wife!!"
You guys are so extra. What do you even mean with that?
Damn, you better keep her name out of your mouth. Ghostface is fake but Will Smith is real....
Facts! 😂
Haha right? Thank god she wasn’t in the whole movie, definitely deserved to be killed off first! Well second technically
Wes Craven died in 2015, so he wasn't around to be involved in 5 & 6. Scream 5 is dedicated to him at the end, before the credits roll.
The first scream is legendary! The intro is perfect. Such a good movie. And ya can’t complain about the others either. They’re all good films. One of the best consistent franchises out there.
1:42:18 Chad: "To Wes!"
Ending: "For Wes"
#RIPWesCraven
My ranking: Scream 6, Scream (1996), Scream 4 (2011), Scream (2022), Scream 3 (2000), Scream 2 (1997)
I had 2 and 3 switched but same
mine is the same, but with 6 at the end
I'd put 4 above 1 (barely, and depends on my mood), and 2 about tied with 5 (while it has pacing and production issues, the dialogue flow just works so well), but still similar. 6's ladder setpiece may be my favourite in the entire genre.
Scream 7 returning cast members are Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox. Patrick Dempsey is in talks to return as Detective Mark Kinkaid from Scream 3.
I hope they bring back Kirby. I don’t know if she would fit into that one but they just brought her back and made her survive so I would enjoy to see more of her.
grew up obsessed w the original, despite had not watched that many horror films as a kid... but my first theater Scream was no.4 and I looove that entry
yesss 1 and 4 are my top two
Reaction videos are a great way to watch a movie "again for the first time." This has become my favorite horror franchise for the twists, the humor, the dialog... oh and the horror elements. Ive watched every Scream movie in theater opening night. I grab the dvd (bluray) the day they release in store. Watching your reaction vid was a great recap of the franchise, and in the time it takes to watch a full movie. You didn't disappoint. Gonna be checking out more of your stuff. I'm a fan. Cheers!
I love how in the opening of scream 1 all she cares about is the popcorn😂😂😂
I’ve been a fan of SCREAM since the original came out back in 96 and loved every single one! Regardless of ranking, it goes to show just how much fun each one of them are in their own way. GREAT ranking list! Respect you so much for your own reasons for loving it and disliking certain things. Your thoughts are appreciated and valued!
My list goes as following:
1) Scream (96)
2) Scream 2
3) Scream 6
4) Scream (2022)
5) Scream 4
6) Scream 3
Look familiar? Because it is! Our rankings match! So cool, you got good taste!
perfect choice of word for the cousin...surprised me at first, then the asking if that word was right made it even funnier 😂
Not the best score on finding out the killers tho :D (even if it's not easy most of the time)
Very true, I just watched 6 a few weeks ago and couldn’t really remember 4 and 5 really well so instead of watching the whole movie I watched a couple reactions to both, way quicker, got the gist, and got to watch a couple of my favorite reactors react to them
I’m excited that you got to see Scream franchise for the first time, Billy and Stu are iconic 🎃👻
This is the best Scream reaction video on YT. Good ideas and editing!
She won’t be missed haha plus it just means they could involve stu in 7
I love how many times Kacee says "oh so it's not them! .....unless"

2. Scream 4
3. Scream 6
4. Scream 5
5. Scream 2
6. Scream 3

Gale Weathers bangs were the real horror of Scream 3
She could have played Annabelle with that awful hair.
I also really liked scream 5. I like the the parallels.
I also lost it when you took of the mask and went “Sidney” 😁🥵😂😂
4:43 ~ Most people "RUN!"
Kacee "What's Ghostface's 5 year plan?"
“Is that Billy Loomis or just the actor reprising a role?”
Yes…and also yes. Scream is confusing at times 😂😂👍🏾✌🏾
Also YES Amber IS the son of Stu. lol my favorite moment from this entire reaction.
Good job, the video was great and I like how you did it in this format. Don't do this every time, but it's welcomed with the movies that have multiples....def can't wait to see more.
Fun fact: Sidneys friend Hallie in Scream 2 was initially one of the killers but was re-written after the script got leaked.
As a huge Scream fan, I agree with your ranking. That’s my ranking as well. I’m so glad that you had a great time doing a Scream-a-thon! Welcome to the Scream fandom 😁

The brie Ghostface was amazing
Fun fact, Trevor in Scream 4 in the last act is dressed just like Sids dad in 1.
Casey your a diamond i throughly enjoyed your reactions to the Scream movies. 👍 👍
THIS 😁
Favorite horror franchise. Ima like this right now but watch it later. Can’t wait to see your reactions to these movies.
I love the Scream movies with a passion, i love them ALL. It is kinda ironic and funny that my #1 favorite franchises first kill ever is a guy named steve, just like me lol
We all know Scream 4 was the best sequel
Actually scream 2 was the best
sequel
WRONG DEFO SCREAM 2022
Courtney Cox and David Arquette got married sometime between one of the movies and later divorced so in Scream 5 when they re-unite and he then dies, they were both actually emotional about it behind the scenes.
I love your reaction to all the movies it was so fun to watch!! My ranking is...
1. Scream & Scream VI
2. ScreaIVI & Screa4m

SCRE4M is my favorite. It's very underrated
Pretty novel idea. You guys should make this a whole segment on your channel of doing deep dives into movie franchises like this.
I love the enthusiasm! Welcome to the scream universe we are glad to have you!

3)Scream 3 (Jennifer was funny the way she said my lawyer liked that)
4)Scream 2 (a good 2nd movie)
5)Scream 5 (i didn't like it that much bc dewey died but i liked amber
6) Scream 6 (idk it just didn't do it for me for some reason
I recently did the same, never seen any of the movies before. Now it’s one of my favorite movie series
I really enjoyed that movie. I had never seen Samara Weaving before and she is a great final girl!
My ranking is
6
4
1
5
3
2
I don't dislike any of the movies, but I think the 3 and 2 are the weaker ones.
i think 6 is the weakest. the worst villain reveals with the worst and longest monologues. i like that the newer Scream movies have a more brutal killer(s) but the depth of the plot is just not good. not to mention the weak characters. but man, the last movie has its work cut out for it losing its two leads.
@@vincentdarkrosrayne Losing those two should improve things. The last two movies are the weakest and those two were a huge part of that.
@pattierotondo1108 couldn't agree more with your comment😅
also gotta remember the writing is the first and foremost culprit of how bad the last 2 movies were. no actor can save bad writing and direction.@@IeuanGould
Talk about Meta 😅👏
People often overlook that small detail so I thought I'd say it.
Now that I read the comments I noticed someone else said it too,
Scream ranking: 1, 3, 4, 2,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Scream '22, VI (don't really like the new movies that much).
From my point of view, they should have stopped after "SCRE4M"... 🎭🔪📀
Thank you for this!! Seriously! I had a great time! You are fantastic! ❤️ 🥰
Enjoyed this so much! Huge SCREAM fan and luckily, I’ve seen each movie opening night in theaters.
7 seconds after posted is crazy (haven’t seen you guys in ages)
Also happy Halloween to everyone reading this
Dos Cavazos
Angelina will always be the 2nd Ghostface in Scream 3 to me because most of the scenes she is in make her look suspicious
House Gas explosion
Bathroom stall scene
Death scene
1:08:39 this was awesome! your actual reaction of sock was hilarious as heck!!
You know what? I have the exact same Gengar plushie in my room
Great Halloween gift to us!!!!
This is my favorite movie franchise! This was fun listening to your commentary so far!
I remember going to see Scream 2 in the theater and me and my friend laughing out loud at Jada's WAY over the top "death throes" and got all kinds of rude stares from people. It was just so, so over the top and badly acted that we laughed by reflex. I still groan every time I see it.
I have no idea why but whenever I think of that scene while sat in the cinema I have to stop myself from laughing.
No one cares
@@XanArt21 Cared enough to reply.
I have to agree. Jada's Maureen is the worst character in that movie. I was glad she didn't have a bigger part.
i like scream movies and its nice to see how the masks change throughout the movies
Omgosh it would be so cute if you can do more themed drinks for films you do
That was awesome!
Happy Halloween everyone 👻🎃
Seeing all these movies back to back and watching the genius behind it, it’s soooooooo good, like some people find this stuff cheesy but it’s actually sooooooooo good!!!
very much enjoyed the full journey all in one video, Casey! great Halloween treat :)
Great job reacting to the entire Scream franchise up to now!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏👏
SCOT FOLEY's actual death at the end of 3 was so well done. Loved it.
1:22:52 That wasn't the wrong choice of words, that was a GREAT choice of words 😂
Happy Halloween! 🎃
My ranking

1. What I like most about doing this is watching people overthink it. Thank GOD for the twist ending.
2. Cell phones weren't prevalent in 1996.
3. This is a movie to watch if you want to have fun.
4. The principal was the Fonz/Henry Winkler.
5. Tatum/Rose McGowan has permission to sit on my face.😋😍
6. I love how the inept killer keeps getting his ass kicked🤣
Phenomenal as always! The Scream franchise is dope. That drink actually looks good.Keep rocking girl!😎👍🏽👍🏽
I have not only seen all 7 Scream movies in the theater...I saw all 7 on Opening night! Midnights on Thursdays as luck would have it! Worth all of the effort. Enjoy your Slasher Baptism!
Wow, that's incredible considering there's only 6 Scream movies.
"This annoying little twat?!"
I laughed so hard, being British it's funny how Americans say it as twot lol
