Couldn't come to think of a better reaction to Scary Movie 2 than that from Dos Cavazos. Scary Movie 2 is by far my favorite in the whole series, and I have been expecting the reaction from Dos Cavazos with great anticipation.

James Wood improvised the line where he says f**k this and walks away. The Wayans brothers liked that so much they wanted him to do that again

Chris Elliot should have won an Oscar for his portrayal of the butler.
He is severely underrated. I think a lot of people were turned off to him because his early comedy work, like in the mid 90s, was just so... absurd. Ridiculous on a Tom Green level.
However, when given a script and a character to play, he is comedy GOLD!

Edit: it’s literally called superhero movie lol, and it came out in 2008. Disaster movie is also another chaotic parody movie which I really enjoyed.

Probably saw the superhero movie when it came out as I enjoyed parody movies a lot (still do, vampires suck and starving games are two of my shocking favorites😅), but I don’t remember that one as well. Definitely need an MCU version parody now that there’s so much new content to be had.

If I remember correctly from my childhood that basketball sequence was pretty much an exact copy of a commercial that was playing a lot before this movie came out.
This is true. I wanna say Nike? I barely recall it(I'm 41 so I probably wasn't YOUNG young at the time). Kind of a poor reference to make compared to flagship horror films. Probs why I love the first one a lot more(and hate the ones post-2 that I've seen...)
I hadn't seen this movie for years and somehow the basketball scene was the only thing I remembered.
06:47 I would argue that is the greatest, best delivered "fuck this" ever. I have seen it a million times and a million times has made me laugh. The face, the timing, the tone; it's just a piece of art.
So have I. But the difference is that for me it keeps getting funnier every single time I hear it.
I watched this movie in theaters when it came out! And I just remember my mom covering my eyes every few minutes and me wondering what the “brown balloon” coming out of the bed was.. I quote this movie to this day and my mom still regrets taking me to see this one when I was only 10 years old lol
😂 to be fair, I also wondered what the hell the "brown balloon" was that came out the bed was. Wasn't until I finally rewatched this movie a couple years ago I was ooh...OOOOOHHH 🤣

That scene when Uncle Ray Ray did to the clown is the most I have ever laughed in my life cause the clown became the victim 😂😂

I remember him from some of my favorite childhood things like the movies McHales Navy and Muppet Treasure Island. He also played a Soviet bad guy in the cinematic cutscenes in the PC game Command and Conquer: Red Alert.

The scene with James Woods...right before you find out he's on the toilet "exercising the demon", is the best opening scene in this movie series in my opinion. But my favorite scene of all the Scary Movie scenes is when Uncle Ray Ray pulls the clown under the bed... after having turned the tables on IT. 😀The cat fight between Cindy and the actual cat is probably the second best scene... though the parrot certainly makes me laugh. You should definitely continue to Scary Movie 3.

I’m so happy you guys reacted to this movie! It’s one of my all time favorites. One of the movies that they parody in this film is the 1999 remake of “The Haunting”. Which is a movie adaptation of “The Haunting of Hill House” book which then led to the 2018 series. Hanson is partially a parody of Mr Dudley the groundskeeper who appears in the Hill House Series. They also got Kathleen Robertson’s character name Theo from the character in the Hill House franchise that also appears in the Series.

Rocky Horror was the movie that convinced teenaged me to sleep on musicals and arthouse movies for a long, looong time.
14 year old straight me saw Tim Curry strutting out in fishnets and heels to the tune of "Sweet Transvestite" and I nope'd out so hard and fast I'm prettysure I broke the sound barrier.

"the rocky horror picture show" is an absolute MUST SEE!, its not a horror movie despite the name, its a actually a musical stage play... and even if you hate musicals, chances are you will love this one.... it does make a good halloween theme movie, only 9 and half months till halloween... its about 45 years old, but it never gets old.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but Tim Curry also voiced the smog in Fern Gully and portrayed Darkness in the classic 80's fantasy Legend with Tom Cruise. Right up Kacee's alley!
