The thing I hate the most about these problems we - people - have is that we usually know hot to improve on them, but we feel we can't.

Just because the answer is simple doesn't mean doing it is easy. It's often a boring and unrewarding process at first - it takes time to see results. Coping strategies are instantly rewarding - although we often feel bad soon after.

I understand not using your smartphone to distract yourself from real world problems, but not using your phone to check with your friend if you got the meeting place wrong and instead sitting with your anxiety while your friend is waiting somewhere else sounds like the insane thing to do. Also, correlation doesn't mean causation. Just because they found correlation between anxiety and smartphone use doesn't mean smartphones cause anxiety. It could very well be that happy mentally healthy people don't require copying mechanisms because they're not dealing with serious issues like depression or generalized anxiety disorder.

Omg thank you, thought this was just me who saw this. And in his example the phone had rid the anxiety. And if he sees phones as simply a tool for anxiety why did he let his daughter still have one or not take it away

yet social media that u will use it through ur phone is the cause of anxiety i know it sounds absurde, but seeing people achieveing their goals and u didn't is one example and there is 10000 of examples throughout social media. take care

@proteaaurea I think you might be missing the point. His emphasis is on using a smartphone to alleviate anxiety. I don't think he is meaning to say it as an either or, but instead a method of immediate relief rather than first using your own coping before seeking to solve the problem. This is a difference between emotional coping and problem focused coping. Both are valuable but both can also be used. Similarly this is like the point of alcohol use versus abuse.

But for people who are otherwise socially isolated, the Smartphone is their only outlet.
Poor people have little money to go out. And if relatives and friends live far away, we can only be there via Smartphone.
This research doesn't include people who have nothing else.

🚨 Beware of unhealthy coping mechanisms! 📲 Overusing smartphones, endless social media, and procrastination provide momentary relief but can lead to more stress, anxiety, and burnout over time.
✨ Building resilience and self-confidence requires:
    • Identifying unhelpful coping habits
    • Trying new strategies like talking to friends, breathing exercises, and challenging negative thoughts
    • Being open about our "crazy patterns" to better understand ourselves
🧠 Like the pigeon that learned to count, our brains can form new connections and break unhealthy habits through practice. Self-awareness and seeking support are key to improving our mental health.

God loves you and cares for you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this large universe and controls it completely. The greatest loss a person loses in this life is that he lives without knowing God who created him and knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. Great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and after that you have the choice to believe in it or not to believe in it. I advise you to do this now, before you no longer have time to do so. Life is very short. It is just a test, just a passage to eternal life. Great advice to those who... Understands

Despite extensive searches and claims, no widely accepted empirical evidence has been found to support the existence of God or the divine origins of any particular religion, including Islam. Science, while not disproving God's existence, does not require it to explain the natural world.
The claim that one should believe in God and Islam because they haven't studied other possibilities is a form of argument from ignorance - appealing to lack of knowledge rather than evidence. It's important to consider all evidence and arguments, both for and against religious beliefs.
Throughout history, religious beliefs have been used to justify intolerance, oppression, and violence. While not inherent in any religion, these consequences are real and cannot be ignored when considering the benefits of believing or not believing.
Many people find spiritual fulfillment and a sense of purpose through means other than traditional religious belief, such as humanism, existentialism, mindfulness practices, or connection with nature. These paths should also be considered valid and respected.
