    The size of the 3/8 fuel ratchet head is it's Achilles heel. That gos the same for the new 3/8 fuel extended reach ratchet. That is the reason I have been trying to get Milwaukee to make a version of the 1/4 drive fuel and now the extended reach ratchet just swapping out anvil to 3/8 drive. You would be able to get into tighter places and use sockets up to 1" and 24mm. The added rpm speed would also be a bonus and being a ratchet the small amount of loss in torque would not be much of a drawback. Please help me with this buy contacting Milwaukee and letting them know you also would like to see them come out with this slim head 3/8 fuel and extended reach ratchet.

    I got the M12 3/8 fuel. Its fantastic. I want to get the extended reach one now but its $100 more. I also Have the 3/8 Stubby, it is absolutely fantastic with an impact set. I'm pulling lug nuts off of F550s that have been on for 10,000 km and covered in rust. I can pull off all 4 wheels on an F150 (6 lug) and still have 4 battery bars left (6.0Ah battery).

    Skip the mid torque since the stubby overlaps enough to make it almost obsolete except for full-time techs. Go with the high torque with one key [2863]. One key is mostly useless except to tame that beast by remapping your buttons to "don't strip the shite out of it" run down setting while keeping the maximum "rip that shite off" removal setting.

    • @BlakesGarage
      @BlakesGarage  5 лет назад +1

      That makes sense I could see were the high torque would definitely be a better option. Just because it’s got all the beans. But I do love the mid to work mostly because it’s a little bit later and it works really well when you’re out and about. But I think if you’re in the shop like you’re talking about I need all the extra torque you’re right just step it up to the big boy.

      Makita 12 volt and 18 volt right angle impact drivers let you switch between three $70 heads: 1/4-inch hex right-angle, 1/4-inch hex straight, and 3/8-inch square right-angle. The heads are not quick-change; you must screw them in. Still, an interchangeable head is an amazing and little-known feature.

    If you are gonna get an electric ratchet, go for the fuel as they are built so much better than the regular ones, and if you are gonna get an electric ratchet, you might as well get the extended reach to fit into smaller areas, and at that point you might as well go for Ryobi extended reach with swivel head

      Milwaukee tools are getting so expensive I might be better off putting the money toward a new car especially after the election when the markets crash, car prices are 50% cheaper, and H.F.'s Bauer power tools are the #1 selling brand in the country. LOL

    A nice ratchet. I'm not sure why Milwaukee only includes a 12V charger with their M12 kits, doesn't make sense the competition includes dual volt chargers on their 12V kits. Additionally their M18 kits include dual voltage chargers. I would be more willing to try their M18 tools that sometimes include only a battery, if I already had a charger that worked on the M18 platform.

    • @BlakesGarage
      @BlakesGarage  5 лет назад

      I get what you’re saying. But if you buy one M18 Tool and then like you said you do you have both chargers. It’s just one of those things I have like seven chargers and I really only use two 🤷🏼‍♂️

  • @cardo1111
    @cardo1111 5 лет назад +1

    Is that non extended version you have of the Milwaukee 12V ratchet a 3/8 or 1/2"? Too bad Milwaukee 12V kits only come with a 12V charger, nearly all other manufacturers include dual chemistry chargers with their kits.

    • @monstermushroomcloud
