  • Warburg effect is hypoxia induced mitochondrial injury causing cancer; cell changes from aerobic mitochondrial metabolism, to anaerobic cytoplasm metabolism. Key point of this talk is that mitochondrial inhibitors are essentially unknown to the conventional medicine community, but they are very common. It appears that these mitochondrial inhibitors are likely increasing the risk of cancer according to Peter Rogers MD, who had this idea in June 2024, and is writing about it here.

    He misses out this: hypoxia results from mitochondrial dysfunction ( in oxygen deficiency), pseudohypoxia results from mitochondrial dysfunction in the absence of co enzymes required by the krebs cycle, glycolysis, beta oxidation Electron Transport Chain, etc . These two types of deficiencies ( oxygen and co enzymes which are mostly minerals, vitamins and phytonutrients) signal the Hypoxia Inducible factors, (HIF) signal the production of more than 100 transcription proteins with responses including apoptosis, Warburgs, erythropoiesis and iron metabolism, vascular remodeling, growth factors etc. The HIF help to compensate for hypoxia and pseudo hypoxia, so they are beneficial in the short term, but an over expression of HIF damages organs, if the mitochondriacan not sufficiently conduct its functions, the organ fails in basic functions. The mitochondrial co enzymes: thiamine, Magnesium, zinc , co enzyme Q10 are just some of the very critical, rate limiting nutrients, 21 micronutrients are essential, but over 50 are generally required. In the absence of thiamine, Krebs cycle does not occur but anaerobic phosphorylation takes over. Thiamine is required for 5 steps.

      Human disease begins and ends with oxidative capacity, how well mitochondria process energy, effectively senses and signals danger, clear toxicants,manage steroidogenesis, sequester calcium ions and how flexibility they adopt to stressors.

      I doubt it. Ruth Heidrich was running marathons and doing triathalons & survived metastatic breast CA x over 30 years. Janet Murray and her hubby ran a marathon every day around the perimeter of Australia 365 d in a row. A transient HIT workout should be beneficial. Activates AMPK pathway which shuts off mTOR.

    Should people in advanced ages maybe take baby aspirin periodically? Helps the blood flow to squirt through the pipes and prevent hypoxia, reduced clotting, reduced inflammation, etc. Seems like the really old generations relied on aspirin and took it all of the time, while modern generations take tylenols and aleves and modern more potent meds.

    Always worth listening to your view Peter.
    My challenge would be if the cause of cancer was as clear as your present, then cancer would be more predictable in various populations.
    The point is none of the apparent causes of cancer predict cancer rates strongly, or even moderately.

    • @PeterRogersMD
      @PeterRogersMD  3 месяца назад

      You are assuming that big med wants to know. Why would they? In my experience, it's more profitable to not know. You know the routine: it's a/w aging, likely partly genetic, maybe related to infxn, no one knows, therefore the only option is to buy this new magic potion. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. Those 5 pages of potential side effects are just a formality.

    • @11235Aodh
      @11235Aodh 2 месяца назад

      It is predictable though isn't it? The whole cancer business is a scam, over 70% of cancers are contributed to diet and toxicology as dr. Rogers describes.

    Thanks again for this!!!
    ?? Wouldn’t any pharmaceutical medication have some kind of preservatives in it- thus making it a mitochondrial inhibitor? But, doesn’t dosage matter!
    I.e. Eating many high fat meals vs. taking 2 small pills per day? Which would have greater impact on mitochondria?
    Although 15+ years of HRT estradiol patch plus progesterone orally at night might clearly cause hormone related cancer risk.
    What about sleep obstruction caused by surgically paralyzed diaphragm and surgical airway damage left untreated for 2 decades by the surgeon and other doctors? Certainly that could cause hypoxia every night- making patient exhausted all day as well. 🥲

    • @PeterRogersMD
      @PeterRogersMD  3 месяца назад +2

      You could undergo a sleep study if you wanted, to see what your O2 sats were at night (oxygen saturations). You might be able to check this with a cell phone app and a pulse ox for patients. I don't know for sure. A pulmonologist would know.
