Tomas is the best reviewer on you tube, he even makes vans seem interesting .
thanks keep following us!
Why am I watching this?? Oh right, Thomas is the answer, perfect review!
This is the most professional review I have ever seen. This is an intelligent man reviewing ( I live in Australia lots of dumb reviewers here). Your driving was excellent too. Sir I salute you.
thanks so much, feel free to recommend us!
It’s the best review on the net for the new sprinter. Thanks!
✌️
As always really great review from super Tomas!!!! Deepest and honest review! Thanks a lot!
Appreciated!
We are buying a pleasure way camper van built on the new 2019 higher end passenger van built in the US. I have questions about two things.
1)How often does the DEF need to be changed? Is there a filter that needs to be changed? Can I do it myself or do I need to take it to a dealer? How much does it cost?
2. Previous sprinters used for class B camper vans have a pretty rough ride on the dirt roads that Americans/Canadians frequently use to go camping in North America. Has there been an upgrade in the suspension? If so, what is the change in the suspension. Thanks so much!!
Absolutely great review. Was looking for something along the lines of this. Just brilliant. Now I know what I need and want.
👍👍👍
Amazing Thomas! Perfect review! 👏👏👏👏
Best Sprinter review ever ;)
thx feel free to recommend =)
Thomas, you classy, sophisticated man, you've done it again! Great review! The new Sprinter looks so good! I can't wait for RV manufacturers to start incorporating the latest model. Thank you, good sir!
appreciated, feel free to recommend us :)
Thomas Thank You for your excellent review of the 2019 Mercedes Sprinter Tourer. In the U.S. I am looking at the Winnebago ERA 70X Touring Coach on Mercedes Sprinter Chassis. With all the better features and galvanized panels of the 2019, I will wait for the new generation chassis. Your comprehensive reviews continue to influence my vehicle purchases. Last year I purchased the VW Golf Sportwagen S with 4motion and the DSG. Your review of the 2017 Golf and Alltrack, plus my desire for cloth seating surfaces, allowed me to make an informed decision.
awesome m8!
Nice, Full HD Screen review, by Thomas. Thanks Autogefuhl. Hugs from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
Wow, 1hr review😲! and that's the reason why I subscribed to your channel, it's very comprehensive, I like it👌. Hello from the Philippines🙌.
Enjoy 😊
Makes a welcome change from BMW reviews with predictable titles like 'Stuttgart Stormer'. Thanks for the vid.
The cockpit is a huge improvement over the old ancient design. Nice.
Until things start breaking and you have to repair all those unnecessary items... Canbus nightmare ahead ;)
Have 2014 Sprinter 316 LWB , It will be good to see what we Get Down here in Australia . Love Your Work...
I saw a 3 year old Sprinter before my holiday Thomas . Had rust already . Glad you mention this But in UK i guess customer not polish then . Good to see these new ones my friend .
LEE AVISON they're still going to rust, that's what happens when a company use's cheap Chinese Steel..
You should keep in mind the tourer is higher than the panel van and the bigger wind resistance created by the bigger frontal area will also influence the fuel consumption adversely.
That was very informative and detailed review, like always Thomas! As far as goes for the wipers, I laughed a bit when the extra fluids went all over the place. I imagine it is not the best solution. However. I like your videos cause you tell it like it is. You point out the positive and negative aspects. And that's why I also like to watch videos for this type of cars. Your videos are very insightful. 👏
cheers pal! =)
First one ! I am a simple man, i see a video from Autogefuhl, i click on the "like" :)
Way to go :)
Hele goede review! Zeer gedetailleerd. Goed professioneel gedaan.
Dank u wel!
Nice thomas u did it again
Oops! 😉
I enjoy your commercial vehicle reviews, if you ever get the chance you should review more of them.
will do from time to time :)
wonderful review!! please autogefuhl do a review of the 2018 MINI JCW HATCH
Thank you for this comprehensive review. It was surprising to see the Sprinter seat providing you enough thigh support (given your height). It looks very comfortable. Can you tell us more about your coat? What is the material and does it have a thermal layer?
All fabric and just for summertime :)
Who has experienced huge electronic problems due to condensation accumulation in the junction box situated in the front left? All the condensation of the front windows in the van campers drips directly on the junction box. The water doesn’t evacuate and the junction corrodes rapidly. It leads to a total breakdown, van needs to be towed to a Mercedes garage. It happened to us and 4 other Mercedes camper vans we know. It only happens on the latest sprinter version, because apparently they changed the location of this junction box.
I've been anxiously awaiting this review, as I'm planning a RV conversion in a 24ft 4WD high roof Sprinter. I like the changes for the most part, especially the infotainment and safety systems in the tourer trim, which is the one I'll be purchasing. It's definitely going to be expensive, but it's the perfect van for RV conversion. I almost decided to build it last year in a current Sprinter, but couldn't resist waiting for the redesign and I'm glad I did. Excellent review, Thomas!
Thanks Glad we could help, and keep us updated
I am also waiting for the New 2019 version but was disappointed to hear that it is available in an AWD and not a 4x4. Or do you have any more info on this? The AWD has 35% front wheel drive and 65% rear wheel drive. I am also wondering how this will effect fuel consumption driving an AWD compared to a RWD?
+Deon I'm not sure if you're in the US, but our version will definitely be offered with proper 4WD, switchable between RWD, 4WD high and 4WD low, if you choose the low gear option. It's a similar 4x4 system to what is in the current model. Also, an uneven torque split is common in 4x4 vehicles, which usually send more torque to the rear. This is actually a really good, stable setup for difficult terrain.
Thank you. Have you ordered your van yet? It only makes sense to have a 4x4 as there is a market for them in the USA. I am in Austin TX. Went to order the new sprinter yesterday and was told that it will NOT be available in a 4x4, just in RWD and AWD. However, the salesman MAY be giving me this info to try and sell me the current version or he MAY not have the correct information.
Really good for camper conversion
Great video. Always like 'the German lesson for today'! You won't feel cramped in that Hi-Top people carrier. Such good driving and commentary. 44:03 I couldn't see the BLIS warning light. Prefer front wheel drive van. Think I prefer the Crafter, or a Transporter but good you can spec up the Sprinter if you want, or if you're rich! Once again, many thanks Thomas and Michel.
Thx my friend!
Also, 'Sexyland' at 45:55. Love Dutch culture🇳🇱 - Fantastisch!
Hamish Dunham. Haha - Dutch culture! Well done!
:-)
When will there be A class and G class review? Great review as always.
A class review next week! G in may
Excellent review for us in the US wanting one to customize into a camper van. You did cover that the rear seats in the tourer recline but failed to mention if they fold forward to a horizontal position. This is something that the Sprinters have been lacking and would make those seats very useful for allowing large items to be put in the back without having to remove the seats entirely. I have shared your video with our Facebook groups that follow Sprinter news. 👍🏼
cheers!!
I tried but it wasnt possible, maybe I missed the function, but I didnt see it
Excellent review. Do you prefer the Mercedes Sprinter or the VW Crater?
thanks! They surely both come close somwhat....
That's quite an aggressive design for a van :o
Although this has been a thorough review I think you should have reviewed the long wheel base standard specification model as this would better represent what is actually sold.
We can review the cars on location
Thomas is the only french who can speaking a fluently english

I'm currently driving a VW T6 and I'm in need of a slightly bigger van. I love my T6 and I'm worried that this one will feel much more like a ''working van''. What would you say about the comparision of the two if we're talking driving condition? I like the fact that you sit even higher in this even though you sit quite high in the T6 as well.
The bigger t6 would be the crafter :)
Check out our review to that, youtube search Autogefuehl crafter

@@autogefuehl I'll go check them out. Thank you very much
How much is the cheapest passenger van? I really want to buy one
My 05 T1N will still be running strong long after these fluffy new versions end up at the breakers..haha ;p
Great review Thomas.
Thx!
nice video and nice sprinters. whats the story with 3 liters v6? i thought they stopped putting them in sprinters (and all other vans) because of all the EU reducing CO2 emissions laws and reducing fuel consumption as well... is it possible to buy sprinter cargo 3 liters with manual transmission or its just with automatics? by the way, do crafters have 3 liters too or its 2 liters? thanks for the review, its good as always.
thanks! Crafter comes with 2.0 TDI only.
Mercedes has put in SCR clearing for all engines so it doenst matter if 3 or 2 litre. Actually the bigger engines usually perform better in the NOx tests
Oleg the new DB diesel engines are crap due to strict emission requirements...
Thomas, why no coverage of the 4th generation Ford Focus launch event?
No invitation, which is strange strategy by Ford
Autogefühl strange indeed. I look forward to the review of the car when you get your hands on it.
This feels more luxurious and high tech than their boring cars lol
I am considering the purchase of a people mover, but is there a 8-seat+ Crafter version? Where I live there's only industrial vans. Cool review, it's not usual to see this kind of road test. Oh, and also, what's the max. number of people you can drive around in a vehicle with your basic B1 driving license in Germany?
Hey, limit is 8 plus driver. I guess u should be able ti get more seats with both cars
Thanks, well it's the same in other neighbouring countries. It's remarkable how Mercedes manages to sell these vehicles without altering their luxury image. Can you imagine a basic industrial van bearing a Lexus or Audi grill? Lols.
good point
Wonder if these rust to pieces as much as the old ones did
Hear my remarks to that
This is going to be built in Charleston USA right? So I suppose that is going to be sold in USA. Very good and detailed review 👍
Yes they are building a new plant for the US
German lessons with Thomas. Yes please
Hmmm, would be cool if you add a ford Transit(Connect/courier) to it as well. See a lot of them lately.
Having a rear wheel drive car in that size is really useless in the winter. Drove a smaller Vito in my work for a few years in Sweden and it was a real turd in the winter. Since we don't load heavy stuff it never had any grip. Got stuck in a parking pocket - with the nose downhill... FWD or AWD ftw in this category. Unless you know you'll have a heavy load most of the time.
Also - gotta love Atogefühl - you never know what's next :D And whatever they drive they make it intresting!
thanks for the feedback :)
👍👍👍 Beautiful!
interesting review, however when are you going to do a Mclaren 720s review?
RUclips search Autogefuehl McLaren and u ll find a couple of McLaren reviews :)
RUclips search Autogefuehl McLaren and u ll find a couple of McLaren reviews :)
As for the consumption we should remember that the 6 cylinder model was taller/longer and as a result heavier and less aerodynamic.
Yes that’s right, I also thought that later
Fit bigger piston return springs that will make the van faster
Beautiful! :)
What year & engine was your Opel Movano Thomas?
hmm.. I guess that was 98 or smth
test honda jazz dynamic 1,5 with manual gearbox will be soon?
150 km/h in the Netherlands!! Hahaha. Perfect review by the way
Thx! At what point did I drive so fast?
Autogefühl at 53 minutes you said that. Nice that you have answered my comment, Thank you ; )
And I would tell you that I've watched almost every video and I continue to like it every time. Bye bye greetings from die Niederlande!!!!
Ford Tourneo Custom, pretty please?
Wow 1 hour 😧😱
$ prices please?
does it seem only to me, or in Netherlands there are not as many cars? I mean in my suburban area in Croatia similar to this there are cars all over the place, grass, sidewalks and there is no free parking space. And our country has a plan to put asphalt over grass and not to forbid old cars with high emissions like diesel golf mk2 of which are many still driven here and not serviced at all so they pollute even more.
They also have traffic there, it depends on the time of the day
i love Mercedes-Benz 😘😘😘
It`s a little interesting that Thomas describes the front wheel drive car as shorter than the rear wheel drive version ( 4:40), just because it has a longer wheelbase . . .
He should have done his homework, and know that these two cars have identical total length.
What price
is this Amsterdam? looks like the Netherlands
Sure is!
Hey Thomas , Forget them seats . Pump up the sound ya'll !! haha
y0 =)
The small circular Mercedes-Benz badge should NOT have been omitted on the bonnet, because presence of that badge (consistent with M-B tradition i've observed all the years) signify a 'complete' vehicle i.e. chassis & bodywork from the same source, as opposed to examples in the (heavy duty) bus sector whereby presence of the star logo without the badge logo tend to signify the particular Mercedes-Benz 'bus' is only a Mercedes-Benz bus-chassis as all the integrally constructed original bodied Mercedes-Benz buses (e.g. Citaro) or coaches (e.g. Travego or even the 'classic' O 404) have consistently presented themselves with BOTH the star & the badge logos on the front end of the vehicle.
Small point some people might think, but as far as i'm concerned, small details like these do tell quite a bit on the 'credentials' or 'standing' of a particular model at hand as obviously an original bodied integral vehicle must be accorded 'higher status' recognition compared to another which is only a Mercedes-Benz vehicle in a chassis form with 3rd party bodywork without the design characteristics up to that of an 'original' bodied model ! Therefore attempting to 'dump' the M-B coin badge is not a very good or wise move from the marketing / presentation aspect especially when the vehicle is presented as a 'complete' vehicle -chassis & bodywork- as is the case in the van sector.
There ought to be more consistency overall in the packaging / presentation aspects among the different models (irregardless of vehicle type) in order that the owner as well as end user of a Mercedes-Benz receives the 'holistic experience' as traditionally expected from the marque. New customers may not 'see' what i'm talking but long time customers from since few decades ago DO expect what they have traditionally expected because they need to be able to 'see' what they expect in order to 'justify' to themself their continued support of sticking to a Mercedes-Benz.
this is good looking car you are okay keep going you are the best
Sprinter ☑️😀
If they do a remake of Knight Rider, Tomas should be Michael Knight. "Kit, hit Turbo Boost!!!"
😎
Those front looks mean and angry. GGRRRR I'm the new 2018 sprinter, get out of my way.
Heck oder Frontantrieb?
Schau mal in den motoren teil
I wonder, will we ever see 4K from Autogefühl or are we forever stuck with full HD, full screen and full length? I can't really come up with a catchphrase that works with 4K...
if bandwidth is going to improvie...
Welcome to my country!
dank u wel =)
don't have that model on Canada
The led headlights in the Tourer are just beautiful looking but the lights on the cargo are horrible looking.
I slept at that Botel two years ago :)
😎
The Netherlands 🇳🇱 Holland is wonderful.
Agreed!
Best part: You can buy it with a MANUAL!
Not in USA......!!!???
Na, schön ist was anderes, da wäre mehr gegangen. Da sieht der Crafter besser aus, zumindest wenn es um die Optik geht
Need to test fuel consumption of different engines when they are under load! I can't help but notice that even in this late model van they still have no passenger air bags??? Why not scrap some of the fancy bits and bobs and get some safety built in as standard eh', I cannot believe that passenger air bags are not a legal requirement on all vans and cars?
The problem MB had with their vans rusting was due to not being painted properly, so they need to fix that problem! The standard MB paint is rubbish, VW paint is Much better on the Crafter and I mean the old one never mind the new one!
As a Sprinter owner driver I can't help but notice that for some reason MB evolve their CV's very slowly and they forget to resolve long term problems and sometimes theses problems are simple to fix so what up with that?
Other bad points are that all the useful features are always at additional cost with MB and I mean basic things like steering wheel tilt or lumber support, or even arm rests on the seats, the seats are awful and on a long run not good for the lower back because the posture isn't right, better seats would good!
This 2019 model looks like they ran out of money on the styling! You can still see bits of the 2006 model shape?? MB just haven't done enough in my opinion, need to pull their finger out get their act together and then maybe I'll consider buying one, MB keep harping on about safety and their vans being ultra safe but most of these safety features are not standard and they aint cheap either!
So as an existing Sprinter owner 2011 model I would like to see:
Better seats, try driving a Sprinter all day long seriously bad for your back! Posture is very important to overall health and not just your spine, the seats may have improved on the 2019 I don't know but they look exactly the same as mine!
The 2011 model has rubbish headlights, they are not good on badly lit roads and useless in fog dangerous even! They are very poor at night unless you have full beam on, full beam is great normal beam is useless also auto dipping would be a good feature as in the Lexus RX450, the headlights dip if you come up behind a car or when a car is coming toward you and then they go back up if you overtake or the on coming vehicle passes, a neat feature and taken way too long to finally start seeing that technology on vehicles, I would happily pay extra for that feature but it would be nice if Mercedes rewarded my loyalty by offering that for free, pigs might fly I guess...
Another cool feature would be emergency break lights, when you break really hard the break lights flash as a warning to people behind, a great safety feature but rarely seen
Would be nice to get independent suspension rather than the horse and cart technology that MB fit on the rear of the Sprinter!
Tilt steering should be standard come on MB??
LED interior lights as standard and enough of them to see what I'm doing in the dark would be good!
Tow bar wiring ready to connect to as standard
Passenger air bag as standard
key less entry, its a pain to keep fishing your keys out when your carrying stuff, its not rocket science MB just think about it...
Modern styling, this 2019 still looks dated
This van is a good van but it could easily be the best van on the road, MB have the capability but it feels like they just can't be arsed so I'm out.
Thomas, you have never looked shorter! :-P
=)
👍
Bring back good reliable pre 2007 sprinter.. take back all emission control crap which gets broken all time and cost fortune to repair
👍👍👍👍👍
An old fashioned rust bucket.
Da menchaca la carden floor
👍👍👍
Will it have what Mercedes commercial vehicles are best known for? Poor security and going rusty.
I can almost guarantee that and expensive Diesel engine repairs due right after warranty is over.
Why do people ride bikes when they can have a super affordable Renault Twizy in Europe? Lucky dogs.
RWD all the way.
Transit lookalike. Overpriced
It is not looking new. It looking old sprinter and dashboard looking renault. This bus be old. So , new vw charafter more good. (sorry for my bad english)
If you address the elephant in the room, rust. Then these vans all become ineligible to be considered to own, as rust, much more so than mechanical issues, is a death sentence.
Lah isahal yardi
Probably another rust bucket!!
Tahir Rana i don't hope so😅
😵
bums bus
💲💲💰🚛👉📡⏰👍📹
👉👏👏📡⏰🔧👏👏😒✌
🙏
Really??? Mercedes have been building cars for 120 years and JUST NOW they claim their cars won't rust? The reputation that truck has is rust and clogged EGR valves. In other words, its not at all for the construction site.
My Toyota will outwork and outlast anything Germany had ever built.
