- In a south Louisiana bayou, we put Gator-Tail Outboard’s new GTR 40 XD surface drive mud motor to the test on a boat similar to the one bought! President and founder, Kyle Broussard takes the drivers seat to show us what it’s capable of, eventually passing by a duck blind that he built and hunted during high school. He reminisces about how public land duck hunting was before mud motors and we talk about everything from cajun cooking, to how his vision got the company started nearly 20 years ago. I am defiantly more than interested in a surface drive , I think it would be great for the wisconsin river where i hangout, it’s a sandy bottom but can very alot overnite and this kind of rig could get me and my camping gear out of a shallow water jam

@@dangreving1094 I highly doubt it. Outboard engines are next to impossible to find right now. They had a few normal outboards at bass pro the other day but you couldn't even buy them. Have you tried calling around?
Monster of the swamp is a swamp shark. Real power. Blow that thing out the water. Thats a trolling motor compared to a swamp shark

Gatortail motors.......AWESOME!! Gatortail boats......well made, need a rounded chime. I own one, but it will be last one. Own a Prodigy now, and they are better made and overall cheaper than a Gatortail boat. Tell Kyle Broussard to step into the 21st Century and make a rounded chime hull. His competition in Loureaville did, and so should he.

Well I'll be darn! I have shot a number of Coots to train my bird dogs, but never ate em. I'll try a gumbo out of a few and see. If it works out and I like it, thanks in advance.
Right now I'm running a Go devil, but when I need a new boat and motor I'll look into Gatortail.

I can not find any prices....customer service at thewebsite did not know the price....strange way of doing business.
But, then again, no biggie. Plenty of boats to choose from on the market. I will simply have to buy a boat where the company's people know the price.
I had no problem getting a quote. You just have to call them and request the price.
What happens if somebody beats you to “your” blind that you say was passed down to you on a public owned lake? Do you get mad or is it first come first serve?
Public is first come first serve for sure. No sense in getting mad about it.

Where are the new hunting videos for this season?
We've been out there hunting, and trying to get content but the first split of season was really rough for us. I only fired one shot for all 4 days of it, I guess that's what you get when you're dealing with mother nature. Our second split is opening up on this coming Monday and we'll be after them again, this week alone I've put in 12 plus hours of scouting before work so maybe we can get on some birds. We're also heading down to Arkansas for a 4 day hunt next weekend on their second split opener in some flooded timber so stay tuned buddy, they are coming.

I have had so many gator tails. Crawfishing everyday. The worst part is the Briggs. It's vibrates. Not enough power. I hope gator tail gets with a company to make more powerful engine. 100 hp would be sufficient for us crawfisherman
