It has no duals....it's just headers, edit headers at the beginning. And still not true duals. It's a single inlet to dual outlet. True duals would be one pipe one bank and one pipe for the other side.
Y’all need to remember, the bungs on the high flow cats are for O2 sensors. Both of the bungs were facing straight up towards the underside of the vehicle, and on one side you could never fit a sensor and the wiring in that space. So when this guy goes to get the tune he desperately needs, they can work with him and set up air fuel monitoring. Otherwise good job keep up the good work, just watch those cats!
Alot of people are wanting to go with that corvette sound from the 5.3s but a cam and long tubes are getting there but he also needs a better intake manifold and heads and a tune. Then you might get to that sound
@strick racing well usually if you're wanting that sound you're wanting it to have good power so typically you'll want the other things on top of the exhaust and cam

Engine masters did an episode on back pressure. And you would be correct. Less back pressure is actually better for your engine. People get confused and think this is what causes you to float valves.
What do you recommend I made a swap 5.3ls to a jeep and I think to put headers no cat conv and 2 flowmaster fx 2.5 or it is better headers and a y and just one muffler instead of two.
Two sounds better but one is cheaper in my opinion but I personally run carven r mufflers because they sound great for the price super throaty and aggressive

I wanted dual mufflers an dual tailpipes to complete my true dual exhaust .. its sounds a lot like this 5.3 .. my truck is a 5.9 with big cam etc etc done to it .. I’m changing it out to what I really wanted in first place , jus trying to decide what mufflers to go with ..? I want to be able to here that thumpity cam at idle An want a nice loud tone but not a lot of drone in cab .. it’s is a single cab 2 door shortbox as well .. any suggestions as what mufflers to go with ?
I'm running speed engineering headers catless true dual with the borla atak catback. (no cats anymore on it.) but the attack mufflers are just as decent apparently
Hooker auro chambers sound pretty good on my 5.9. I’m running long tubes with a ypipe and a 3 inch hooker auro chamber out the back. It sounds pretty good. It’s pretty dam loud but not bad in the cab by any means. I have some drone at a idle and around 35mph but that’s it.

Imma be honest. Ditch the magnaflow and go true duals, and it'll sound perfect! Too quiet to be cammed, imho.
