I tried this recipe with a twist a was lazy and it came out great! Thank you! I didn’t purée onion etc as didn’t feel like washing blender afterwards and didn’t boil Chana with tea leaves (as I saw your recipe after boiling Chana)! Next time I am going to follow your entire recipe
You can just grate the onions on the very small holes of the grater...it will become just like onion puree . I do this when I don't want to dirty my blender. You can do this for tomato also. Same for ginger garlic...just grate if you don't want to crush. It's easy and faster!😝

Here are the ingredients from this recipe.
Please correct me if I got anything wrong.
For Boiling:
1. Chhole - 1 cup
2. Tea leaves - 2 teabags or 2 tsp potli
3. Salt - to taste
4. Baking soda - 1/8 tsp
5. Bayleaf - 2
6. Cinnamon - 1 stick - 2 inches
7. Black cardamom - 2
8. Cloves - 4
9. Green cardamoms - 3
Masala Mix
1. Salt - to taste
2. Red chili powder - 1 tsp
3. Turmeric - ½ tsp
4. Coriander powder - 1tsp
5. Garam Masala - 1tsp
6. Anaardana dry roasted, coarsely crushed - 1tsp
7. Cumin powder - 1 tsp
8. Kala namak - ½ tsp
9. Heeng - ¼ tsp
10. Amchoor powder - 1 tsp
11. Kasoori methi powder - 1 tsp
To Fry:
1. Oil - 3 tbsp
2. Onion paste - 1 medium onion
3. Ginger-garlic paste - 1½ tbsp
4. Tomato paste - 2 medium tomatoes
Tadka
1. Chopped garlic - 2-3 cloves (Optional)
2. Cumin powder (dry roast, coarse ground)
3. Split green chilies - 2
4. Chili powder - 1 tsp
