The R1150GS ADV has one advantage over the R1200GS. It doesn't have as much electronics in it, so most things can still be fixed with a wrench. I would like to have cruise control instead of a simple throttle lock though. The green paint job on your R1200GS ADV is also my favorite for that bike. Congratulations!

Congrats on yor GSA! At 4:45 did you wobble the handlebars or it was the bike? If you could detail the exact benefits over the GS (apart from the Tank range & looks) it would be of great help. Especially in the handling department. The GSA is 22kg heavier but of that 7.5 kgs is attributed to the 10 liters of extra gas. Rest 14.5 kg is easily the engine guards, fog lamps, panniers fastenings and the aluminium tank, in the end not much weight difference if one adds the same accessories to the GS. Thanks!

Test rode the 2015 GSA and loved it. Then I rode the GS. Two great bikes.....just cannot make up my mind on which one. Any thoughts now that you have owned both? Any regrets? What are the bonus points of the GSA over the GS?
+Shawn Kuse I much prefer the GSA to be honest. I think it looks better and handles better.

Hi Crotchrocket, hope you're well. Could you let me know what was the size of the handlebar risers you put on the GS. I've put a high seat on mine which has increased the seating by 20mm so I'm wondering if I should fit the same size of riser. Also, did you notice a difference? Cheers, Andy
+Andrew Tofts hi Andy, i fitted 20mm Touratech ones. I then fitted some Rox adjustable risers, which were good, but a bit too tall, so now use the TT 20mm ones all the time.
How do you think the GSA would fair filtering through London compared to the standard GS? I'd love to get a GSA but think it'll be just too big for getting into and parking in London.
