Taking caps and spotting is really important but it seems like a lot of dd players, even myself sometimes, forget the number one rule of combat: survive.
I truly believe the longer you survive the game, the more dangerous you become, especially if you are the remaining DD in the game. You can turn a loss to a win.
Same here SCmaro, I'm so focused on killing enemy DDs and getting those caps it often leads me to be far too aggressive. Really trying to realize when it's time to fall back for a moment or two
Like the army says "impact goes before cover". So, survival alone will not win a game, else everybody could just hide in a corner. It is just not good to get sunk too early.
@@agricolaurbanus6209 No one said the number one rule was ONLY survive. Particularly with dds whose value tends to increase the longer the match goes on.
great video, the actor who plays peek (that made me smile) I hadn't played in like 3 months and getting back into destroyers... yikes. I had lost my moxie, big time. So I had to relearn the golden rules. For me that's be patient, and always pay attention - situational awareness, use the track locator, use the mini map, pay attention to what red ships have been spotted and where and for enemy destroyers, try and think where they'll go next. Stop rushing into everything, because even smoke can't always save you.
Loved this video! New to WOWS and love the DDs the most. Learned a lot just from this video and thought I was watching a Twitch. HaHa! Thanks for posting and hope you did well with your fishing. 😁
For me at the start of a game, I always Blind Torp the Cap which leads to initial capping, never sit horizontal to the cap, I always have my stern facing towards the enemy team and my bow facing my team, so that way if enemy Torps come my way it’s easier to dodge. I was waiting for this one but pretty much already is all these.
Gosh Peek I didn't know you're an fishing enthusiast...now I like you even more...really enjoyed the goofing around in your last live stream on wows lately...petri heil for your tournament...go get the biggest specimen in the contest✌️😉
Thanks for the tutorials, I think they are a terrific resource to help a newbie like me to get up and running as a productive team member in this game. I have not been able to work out how to get the camera Overview up though? Is that something that can be done in the PC version?
9:50 how tf do you view Charlie as an escapable route based off where they will spawn? Am i fucking up thinking about spawn positions off the start? I would have figured wide A or hidden left side b
Seems some folks never miss, in co-op I've had them shoot from the other side of the map,out of my range, and never miss, or over the top of a mountain on an island, and not miss. I'm not talking about the bots.
Im a newbie tier 2 almost 3, sometimes I run around wide and attack a carrier, I had a hogo or something one shot, ship had a sliver of health, but he got me sank before I could get the final sink shot, maybe I should of rammed the ship.
I've only been playing 3 weeks and I''m already sick of cheating scum who can shoot over island tops and not miss. And then there's the cruisers that disappear from radar. I thought only battleships could do that.

@@michaelvanasse5767yep, that’s why it’s the most strategically important class.

Just stop by to show some support, been enjoying all the tutorials. Great content buddy
Solid info and I was questioning the not capping thing at the end but the point of the CV searching for you was a good one
Rule No.34: Try killing the division of 3 players first
Uploads like this are why I'm subbed to your channel Peek...great information that I hope many players will see, enjoyed watching👍
14:26 that Tarigo was running RGA mod to extend hard spotting from 2 to 3 km.

The most important one ☝🏾 ! So tired of blue destroyers rushing and dying to a radar !
Facts, the amount of DDs that I’ve witnessed rushing either a German battleship with all the armament and sonar or a radar cruiser is obscene.
@@G19Jeeper yeah tier VII playing like new players even tho they have 1000+ hours
It’s weird but tier 4 and 5 have better team play then 7 and higher. The players actually seem to have a clue.
@@Berserker_4517 that’s what happens when money can buy high tier ships without any skill.
@@G19Jeeper oh yeah what happens people rather purchase high tier ships and never learn how to play
A year later and I will revisit this for back to basics reminders while playing.

Honestly I started out watching pc then found spartan AAron and Peak. Then downloaded the game. 2 years in still watching these lol.
Peak I’ve been subscribed for a little over 2 years now and I gotta say I miss old peak content
its coming
His best videos are clearly Turorials, sniping Spartan and watching Spartan play Florida !😂

Im hooked on the shenyang.... i drop 3 to 4 regularly and have sunk 6 for my best.
6, what mode? I've sunk 11 in co-op mode. I've only been playing 2.5 weeks.

What about french(no smoke) destroyers...I love them especially after the last balancing

Always good.
I run georgia on az newjersey as commander with scharnhorst and cunningham and de accuracy is still shit
Watched you torp the Nagato, how do you know they DC’d?
Morning Peek !!
My gameplay shot up after practicing what you be preaching

What's the point of aiming in this game anyway? Half of the bullets have a mind of their own.

We were way ahead idk if that will work in later tiers.
@@derekdavis6508it’ll will work but the game is harder at tier 7+
Hoping to improve more features at World of warships legends mobile......
I am really really really good.... Come join 🐑💨😂
When he torp the nagato the first time how did he know he used damage control?
I wonder if this guy is playing the game much these days ;)

So just yolo 24/7
Just going to say it, why don't you go live fishing? Just saying if your already going to be there..
Just wondering if you still play very much
Your aim is fucking insane lol
I went to this because of the fortnight cheaters, now I'm highly suspicious of cheating in this game from other players.
Wow this guy is still unbelievably full of himself all this time later.
