🚨Shop best sneaker deals of the week I post here! www.collectivekicks.com/sneake...
    Men's Road Running Shoes $160
This pair removes Air Zoom from forefoot and even though I had beef with the Vomero 16 w/ the Zoom X branding, this pair actually delivers dual density foam w/ proper zoom x (not wrapped)
5 Like the Pegasus Turbo but Better!
More foam underfoot, cushlon 3.0 vs React in dual density set up, and its good. And the Branding of Zoom X is on the actual Zoom X! Yay!
4 Traction Lots of it for added durability
3 Stylish funtional Design. The vomero 5 is trending right now, and is a great retro runner, but the 17 is modern and stylish
Tongue & heel padding is nice, strechy laces and insole are nice also.
Upper mesh is zoned and breathable.
2 Wide Offerings for wide feet gang.
1 Versitility - Its comfortable, but also firm enough to be a daily training sneaker as well as a daily walking sneaker. Stability is nice due to the Cushlon coupled under the Zoom X.
    Things I dont like:
Not as much forefoot cushion as other max cushion pairs
    Goretex offering would be rad
    Alternatives:
Cheaper Option: Nike Motiva for a walking sneaker w/ Cushlon 3.0 $110
More Squish: Nike Invincible Run 3 $180
    Daily Alternative: Pegasus 40 $130
Snug knit alternative: Nike Infinity Run 4 ReactX $170
Softer on feet in same category: New Balance 1080v13 $165
A springy and soft ride to energize every mile, the Vomero 17 takes you to your running happy place. Its stacked foam provides premium responsiveness to help you kick it up a notch when you’re ready for that extra gear. And with across-the-board enhancements that deliver a new level of lightweight comfort and breathability, this shoe is for those road runners who seek the thrill of the vroom and the kind of plush feel that puts you in cruise control for short-to-long distances.
    Cushioning: Super High
The more cushioning that you have underfoot, the softer and more comfortable your running experience can be. Cushioning helps soften impact as your feet hit the ground. Packed with our premium ZoomX and Cushlon foams, the Vomero 17 delivers comfort underfoot for a balanced, soft stride. Based on runner feedback, we also removed the forefoot Zoom Air unit in the previous version to simplify the midsole for a more plush feel.
    Responsiveness: Super High
The more responsive the shoe, the more energy return you can get back with each step. Whether you want to run a little bit faster or with a little less effort, responsive shoes help give you slightly more spring in your step to get more out of your run. In the Vomero 17, our maximum spring shoe, your foot sits on a stack of ZoomX, Nike Running's lightest and highest energy-returning foam, on the top and soft foam on the bottom for an energized, yet smooth ride.
    Support: Neutral
The more supportive the shoe, the more stability it can give to your natural stride. A combination of tuned support and intentionally placed cushioning helps you feel secure with every step. The Vomero 17 has neutral support. It gives you balance, whether you're a heel or forefoot striker. It's good for long and short runs, too, providing a smooth transition from heel to toe that helps complement your natural stride.
What's New About the Vomero 17?
We simplified the build of the 17 by removing the forefoot Zoom Air unit and stacking premium ZoomX foam on top of the midsole to amplify the cushioned comfort. The result is a softer, more responsive ride.
    Weight: 10.5 oz/300.2 g (Men's size 10)
    Heel-to-toe drop: 10 mm
    Shown: Black/Anthracite/White
    Style: FB1309-004

The Vomero line used to be my open to close day shoes when I was a manager for Finish Line. Seems like a lot of other shoes have eclipsed it since, though. Since these come in wide I'm still going to scoop, if only to show Nike that they need to make more running shoes in wide widths.

honestly just the the puma velocity nitro 3. The nitro foam though it is eva the super critical nature of it gives a similar sensation to the zoom x but isn't as soft.

from a casual perspective, the Infinity 4 is softer and has more cushion at the heel! The amount of zoom x at the heel on the vomero is not enough. The reactx at the heel on the Infinity is far superior and softer than the cushlon 3.0. Instead in the forefoot, the vomero is softer than the Infinity, because it has more zoom x than cushlon!

For someone who likes Max cushion shoes, I'm really surprised that you're not seeing the praises of the Asics nimbus 25s. I tried them on side by side with the invincible run threes and they made the invincible runs feel hard in comparison

  • @elimejia5749

The vomero 17 confuses me in the Nike running line up of shoes. It's a great shoe but where does it fit because if you like the invincible 3 but it's too squishy or unstable there's infinity react x 4. But if the Pegasus 40 is too firm then your probably back to infinity react x 4 or invincible 3. Either turn the vomero into a Pegasus turbo successor. Or remove infinity react x 4 or turn it into a stability version of vomero 17.

    • @josephchao7078

Lots of other informative channels that strictly provide a (casual, intermediate, professional runner’s perspective. This channel is not that 😅
