Give a big like and a subscribe for the building inspector 😆😆
Absolutely!
We all appreciate those who have had “Nicks” in our life. They are so necessary to have a few of them to help us along life’s journey. Thank you Nick!
Nick is such a good Samaritan, there to help whenever needed.
Thank you Nick for helping these lost kids out. Lol. It's really starting to look like a cozy little home now.
People who say they have never made mistakes, also have never worked or built anything in their lives ! You can only learn by making mistakes, the more mistakes you’ve made; the more you’ve learned. Glad you’re still learning, working hard & enjoying life. Stay positive, stay healthy & this time it’s greetings from Lagos Algarve Portugal 🇵🇹 having a well earned holiday break from Germany 🇩🇪
Saint Nick. Always there to save the day.
Defo ❤
That Nick bloke is a bit of a legend.
Nick's ace but at least you had a go yourselves rather than taking the easy route. I respect that. No crying either, no clickbait, just rectify it and get on with it.
❤
It takes many years and a lot of learning to be as skilled as Nick is and he learns as he goes because every job or task/ project is different! Thank God Nick likes to help others. Whenever you can Dan offer to help him out and you’ll learn a lot. 😊Glad to see your home coming along so well.
Excellent advice, to offer to help Nick as much as you can.
Great to see this happening. Like other projects on other channels, it wouldn't work out right without help from Big Nick, Project Portugal. He is so good to his young neighbours and they learn from him.
You learn by making mistakes love how uncle Nick helps everybody he's a lovely chap.I Watch his channel also 😊
Great to see Nick helping you guys. We all need a Nick in our lives! Makes you feel you are going forward everyday. Though you guys have done brilliantly on your own all this time!
what a differents this make, i am so happy for you, Nick is a great guy, helping everybody out, and Dan is a funny guy, has a lot of humor
You will crack the other part of the roof now uncle Nick has educated you in roofing. Well done guys. Looking great 😊
That Nick is a treasure! Well done everyone, you will get it done eventually!
I am so glad Nick came to assist you both with your roof, next it's your turn to finish the other side, I'm looking forward to seeing it done, well done all of you ,take care ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Have you finished that roof yet?? 🤣🤣, great video guys, glad I could help, you know where I am of you need more❤
ha love it took us 2 months after you left 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi guys. I am so happy you have big Nick to help you help with the roof. Love ya!
❤
Ha, ha, Health Inspector. That did make me laugh especially when Nick got a face and eye full of dust and not wearing mask or goggles, and then cut himself, not wearing gloves.
Nick is always willing to help, bless him. You couldn't wish for a better Mentor.
Well done guys. 👍
A huge shoutout to Big Nick for his amazing help and advice. Cant wait for next episode to see the finished product, keep grafting you two, you're doing an awesome job 🏡🔨
Nick to the rescue is such a handyman for you pair to learn from and make it easier to move forward. Good to see you progressing so well together well done
Loved the health inspector. The new roof makes such a beautiful addition. Thank you for sharing your journey.
❤❤
Thank God for Nick❤
❤
Bless u nick helping
Those roof panels look great and a big thanks to Nick. That was a good one with the health and safety inspector.
That's why I like to watch you two. Always a joke or two. Good job and Irish music is a heat.good luck with rest of roof. Nick is such a good person and friend ❤
So nice to see Nick come to help you and loved the Health inspector he was great ha ha. Love the roof. Nice to see you both again. Have a lovely day.
This is an enormous achievement on your cottage reno project. Learning from a real pro as Nick you are in great hands. Already the cottage looks fantastic. Crack on!
🤗
Your little homestead is coming along nicely and what a difference it will be once the new roof is completed and yes Nick is a lifesaver helping out so many people sort out their building problems and giving you so much helpful advice .
I hope the rain held of so you could finish the roof .
Looking forward to the next video.
Looks great guys. Only concern is the screws fixed in the groove where the water runs down. They will rust away after some time and allow water in. They should be fixed at the hump of the roof sheets to prevent ingress. Hope this helps.
Galvanized screws wont rust❤😁👍
💕
@@projectportugal sweet summer child! Irregardless of that they are far more likely to leak in the grooves.
We could all do with a Nick, what a super help. Looking forward to seeing your finished roof. Cheers 🍻
I would advise you to cut down the olive tree that is growing right next to your stone barn. Snakes, rats, mice can use the tree to access the roof to your future abode.
Hi again L&D
A Huge job for sure but thank goodness for the help! Will be such a relief and soo comforting to have your home enclosed.
Oh sure! A health inspector too lol! Back to work everyone lol!
You two keep on keepin on with a bunch of positive thinking and your goals in front of you.
Positive thoughts and prayers your way! Thx as always for sharing. God bless...
lol love it ❤

Thanks so much! 😊❤
So happy for you both and what an awesome transformation! Glad to see you have support and Dan can lighten up a hard days labor with a good laugh😆. Keep up the great work on the homestead. Love your videos😊
Thank goodness for Nick! Now you will learn as well as get your beams fixed. 😁
"Uncle" Nick is always everywhere to the rescue! 😅💪
@AlongThePathsOfNature
Thank goodness Nick was around you are doing an amazing job.❤️❤️
We all make mistakes, that’s why there’s an eraser on the end of a pencil. Remember, nothing made by the hand of man will ever be perfect.
The plastic insulated roof panels are a great solution ....to keeep water and cold outside.. the screws with rubber gromets are allways fixed in the ridge not in the groove tought
Great progress with a roof on your head,Laura and Dan.
Many important parts of the barn have been done.. Very pleased for you!❤❤
good old Nick he is the man BRILL
I love you shared your mistake. It makes your journey so real. Loved the way you handled it. Well done you two. Big hugs to Nick!
The place is looking fantastic it’s great you have a neighbor and friend like Nick. Happy building and stay safe.
Thankyou Nick for helping these two beautiful humans, you are a true gentleman, the roof is looking great, king regards to you all from Tasmania.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️💐
Amazing Progress guys it's really looking like a home now it's come so far I remember when you first started on the land and sleeping in the van and getting stuck in the mud all the time it's really great to see even the hard time with other things that have you stayed strong keep up the amazing hard work guys your learning alot thanks for sharing 😊😊
Nick 👏👏👏
The man, the myth, the legend 😀
Nick is a bit of a Legend. He's come to the rescue of many.
Hi lara and dan good to have u back😊
Thanks Jean 🌻
Thank you Laura and Dan, for sharing your good progress, one inspiring step at a time. Also for sharing the mistakes, which are part of every human life. It helps us to relate to you, to feel we're on this journey and in step right along side you. This is a GIFT for us; your already 70,000+ subscribers is evidence that you are both AWESOME and are doing fantastic work in building your homestead and in video-making!! However difficult low days can feel, don't worry, you will get there. Your timing is perfect, you are right where you should be. Lest anyone forget, it was the tortoise that won the race, not the hare. Most importantly, you are both wonderful souls, I don't have enough words of praise to tell you how much I enjoy your vlogs! Your ability to laugh and be playful is medicine for each hard moment, and your hard work keeps one foot in front of the other, creating this life, day by day. We cheer for you! CONGRATS! Lee
Hello my sweet friends! Wow! How wonderful to see the roof going up. I sit back and look at the transformation and thank the Lord for your amazing blessings. God bless Nick for all his help and being such a great teacher! I pray you both are well, safe and filled with joy. So much love and love in Christ. ~John
John 3:16-17 NKJV For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
I know John 3:16 is usually only read, but the 17th verse really brings it all together. 🙂
Love that you are enjoying your building journey and always open to learning the correct and new skills necessary. God bless you both abundantly.
Well done people - everyday is a school day ❤️
Gosh is Mick everywhere helping people out with his building skills and so wonderful that is happening and a good community feel.
Place is looking good and love the panels for the roof. Won’t have any tiles flying around in a big storm if they were to become loose.😀
New roof just completely changes the look,of the building. Great work 🙌🏼
Roofs looking brilliant, makes such a big difference, great Vlog.👏
❤
Beautiful roof! Nice Nick was there to guide you. Bravo! ❤ well done!
Well done nick too the rescue you both have a great friend. The little home is coming on really good, keep going guy's ❤
Well Hello Portugal Nick of all trades… you are everywhere. Well done ya’ll !
So glad you have Nick to help with the build. You guys work hard and it’s always easier with an expert. 😊
I hope those screws have rubber gaskets. Otherwise, placing them in the valley may allow leaks.
They do ❤
Wow roof looks wonderful. Nick is a great teacher and friend. So very glad you had help.
Put something in the crock pot tonight for tomorrow's lunch. Take care you two. Great job.
Wow! First thing I said when I saw the first unwrapped panel was…wow aren’t those slick!! Have never seen something like that.Looks amazing!
We can tell you that even professionals make mistakes. The only difference is they don't tell you! They usually hide it or redo it. And you wouldn't know - until later, lol. Also they add the costs of their mistake to your bill. Ugh.
In your instance, mistakes are a learning experience. Ive built my own home and trust me, you guys are doing great! Take it easy and go with the process. It'll work out in the end 😊
That roof already looks amazing guys and always a blessing to have a friend around with golden hands ( as they say here). I look forward to see the roof completed 😉👌👍
Hey folks!😁
Finally, a video to sweeten the deal. 🍬I hope you don't have any trouble with this type of roof tile attachment. 😵The screws should always be placed at the top, not in the tile groove. The way to fix these tiles to the concrete beams is the same system that was used for metal tiles (clips). They already sell the clips in the right size for the beams (pre-cast).
Now...keep up the good work!💪
Love the red tiled roof! Thank goodness for Nick. All progressing so well x
Glad you made the choice to remove the old roof . The new looks F.....g fantastic !!!
Aww brill guys, you never fail to make me laugh..And if you got a hearty laugh from Nick, that says it all.
So good to see your progress. The house is beautiful. Thank you for sharing, I look forward to seeing more. God bless and keep you both.
Better dont put bolts in the dip of the roof profile where the water flows, ALWAYS on top!And always use the bolts with rubber washer for making it watertight.
Outstanding demonstration on what to do by Nick and great observation skills and learning from you both to continue and finish the project. Well done for asking and getting help at the start which has saved you many days work and heartache. Can’t wait to see that “wee beauty” with its new hair style! ‘Keep the faith” and continue to look after each other.
Brilliant progress.. I say it all the time, Nick is a hero..
I’m looking forward to next week, seeing the panels finished 👏👏
Sending love❤️❤️

Such a nice difference with a brand new roof!
Good song at the end!
Good job All!❤
Nick certainly is a great guy. It’s awesome he’s a neighbor! Did that BLUETTI help in any way on this project? You have quite the community now, nice to see it adding up for your good. The promotional bits are smooth as glass, who wouldn’t hire you? What a cool thing to do. All the best!
Nick saves everyone.
🥰
Watching a day later, but glad to see your progress. The roof panels seem to incorporate a nice finished product as well as insulation.
Always enjoy your content.

It will look very nice when finished. Thank you Nick, just subscribed. 😊
Great roof tiles and insulation all in one and a good friend to help put it on 😊
So far so good with the wonderful assistance of Nick!! :)
Good luck with the other half and don't forget that Nick is just a phone call away.:)
Your hard work is starting to pay off! It’s starting to look really great!
I loved the building inspector scene, lol.
Nick helps the Foggie's also with their homestead.
You guy’s are doing a marvelous job , God bless you both!
Ouch. Should have fixed the panels through the concrete from inside. Always use marine silicone or rubber washers. I like to lay foam cushioning to reduce movement too.
Not sure if Nick knows what he is doing.
Sorry to tell you but as it is, you will either have leaks when it rains or the panels will come loose in a storm.
Brilliant Vid as always. love to see the pair of you working together (and Nick). Always look forward to seeing your Vids. Jim Uk.
We learn by our mistakes. Good job!!!
Great work everyone, them roof panels are a great solution!
