      And each dancer makes the movements his. That's part of the charm.
      There is no explanation for the beauty of this piece. A simple series of replications and it is heavenly.

      It's glorious...it contains dozens of excellent aspects all done supremely well, and all at once. And of course, as an ode to a recently deceased inspirational artist cherished by all of these dancers, no better way to pay your respects is there, than to embody her choreography with a genuine smile.

    Gedreht wurde auf der Halde Haniel.
    Eine großartige Szenerie bietet dieses Relikt aus den Zeiten des Bergbaus... Fast unwirklich... die Steelen wirken wie Totempfaehle...
    Dieser Ort hat etwas magisches..
    und die Tänzer haben ihren Spaß daran ihn noch mehr zu verzaubern..
    Grüße aus Lüneburg... auch hier gibt es einen Berg, den Kalkberg auf dem früher eine Burg gestanden hat...

    My dance class just ended and this is final video she made us watch... one of the best classes I've taken in life "Dance Appreciation"...

    The funny thing is that on that day of Wenders' filming the air temperature, with the addition of the wind, was near freezing and the dancers were totally bundled up against the cold up until the time of the shooting. So here, when they enact the "winter" part of the dance, you can bet they're really feeling it!!

    Answering my own question - and following a suggestion below: sounds like the Tin Roof Blues by Louis Armstrong and the Hot Five.....but a semitone up and a bit faster. help!

      The filming location resembles pictures of the Osterholz quarry near Wuppertal. All other outdoor shots are also made in and around Wuppertal.
