I'm pretty much just a chevy guy but certainly look forward to and enjoy all your videos. Long or short, informative or just fun they're all great. Really enjoy the ones that include your dad especially the ones with your granddad. So, keep em coming
Dude, at home paint job. Just saying. I just did a big 8 part series on painting at home. I painted my 1970 fastback and it came out killer. You can do it!
I really enjoy seeing a young man being so into cars. I've been into cars my whole life, and at 71, am still cruisin . Have a 54 Chev convertible and still using the same California duster I bought in 1984.
Working on my '66 mustang coupe, blue with a black vinyl top. It has a 289, 10 1/2 to 1 forged flat top pistons, lumpy hydrolic cam, aluminum intake, holley double pumper, tricked out C-4 auto with a 10inch stall convertor, and a Ford 9-inch rear with 4:11 gears and detroit locker. Did all the work over the years. Now, replacing the collector gaskets on the headers and replacing the trans cooler with a larger one. Both were leaking. Car sat for a long time. So, i'm going to replace the spark plugs too. BTW, I bought this mustang when I was a senior in high-school..... Back in 1985.
Love your content, keep them coming. I've got a 65 coupe, it was my dads, and have been wrenching on it since 1977, when I was 12 yrs old!!!. It's my daily driver, this spring I just replaced my 25 old AOD trans, finally added the same Wilwood front disc brake kit(the same one you did), replaced my Edlebrock carb, added 1/4" steel fuel return line to the tank and Cool Carb spacer plate to cure vapor lock, replaced my PS pump and hoses. Just started replacing the original dash pad, (I've had the new dash pad since "08" !) Take care.......
Hi Ben i Have 68 coupe. Was a 6cyl. Upgraded to a 302. Hooker headers. Borg power. steering upgrade. Quick shifter. Magnoflow duel exhaust with super 40. New tranny. With alot more. I love your Videos. 3:50
Right on! I've got a '70 Buick GS 455. The plan for it is still unknown but I want to do a 4 speed rockcrusher swap at some point. Just a street car that occasionally hits the strip/ drag and drive events.
I’ve got a ‘67 Fastback imported to the UK from Oklahoma. Running a 289 with a top loader as a rolling restoration. Pulled the engine and box out this weekend. Fitting Borgeson PS, Hurst shifter and some other small bits and pieces. I definitely need some door lock grommets! Really enjoy all the content, including videos with little odd jobs. Makes me look at mine and think how I need that too!
I recently picked up a 66 Mustang fastback factory GT, with. 4 speed. It as not run since 1997 so I have lots of work ahead. In the process of installing a new tank an fuel line.
You're probably bored of hearing about my 66 Fastback!! During the 2019 restore I did the radio block off plate but drilled holes in it for toggle switches to operate some lights. Also for the first time since I bought the car in 1975 I added the rings around the locks. FYI I lost one of the rings day one as these aftermarket rings do not fit tight....add a drop of Gorilla glue on the underside. I need to address my wheels too. thx PS always good to see you!
I like the mat paint, my 68 mustang has still the shining paint from the import. But the same colour, green! The green that reminds you of the car in the film bullit
Awesome stuff man. Tbh, working on my car in my garage is like therapy. A lil music, a drink and I'm happy as hell. Plus, the car gets a lil bit better as I go along. 🤙
The little things are just as satisfying at the big ones. That radio delete look...👍 I'm working on getting a 65 Tbird Landau for the right price. It looks good if you squint. Bottom is crusty (Northeast). Not my preferred year. But, hey, if it comes in cheap enough..........
My father has a 65’ coupe that him and I like to work on over summer. It needs a new carb, instrument panel, dash pad, and just interior pieces. Im excited to finally get it on the road after we put in a new gas tank but not until the carb is put in. Keep it up w/ the cool vids!
Love your car dude, sounds great! I have a 65 fastback, raven black with the standard red interior. The motor is a built 289 with original hipo heads, slightly cam'd 😉, Edelbrock carb with MSD ignition components. The car is an automatic, wish it was a stick...
Yep, still working on my '73 Mach 1. Had bought a new Track Boss Thermostat from TMeyer, but for some reason my car ran hotter with it than with the one I had in it. Both 180 degree. Not sure why, but I put the other one back in it, with a new housing with o ring. Temps back where they were. Still runs about 1/2 way on the factory gauge, would like for it to run even cooler. Anyway, taking it to the shop tomorrow, to try and find a harmonic vibration I have been chasing since I got the car. May have the driveshaft balanced. Think I need a new steering box too, adjusted all the was in, but still has a little too much loss play. Not sure where to get a quality box from. Also dropped the timing down to about 14 degrees BTDC. Seems to run better. Anyway, working on it is part of the fun!
Awesome upgrades! I currently have a 1979 Ranchero GT. It is emerald green with gold stripes and it has a 351 Cleveland and a C4. It's a real California car with only 30K original miles that has been verified by documentation and by a Marti report. I upgraded it with a Holley 500 CFM dirt track style 2V, vintage 70s speed part decals on the rear window and 17" Magnum 500 style wheels. It's so cartoony and gets so much attention. It's so slow but I love it! I also have a mint 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC with 28K original miles. I'm only the second owner and it's black on black and I have lowered it and it's riding on 18" Vision wheels. The engine is the 32 valve DOHC modular 4.6 making 290hp. It's surprisingly peppy. In the past I've had an 03 ProCharged Mach 1 Mustang making 425 to the wheels on the dyno, an 08 GT500 Mustang modified to make 600hp to the wheels on the dyno. A 1923 T-bucket with a 350 Chevy and 2 speed powerglide (absolutely terrifying to drive), a 03 Mercury Marauder, a 1969 Dodge Super Bee with a 383 and 727, a 1974 Duster 360 auto and a 1972 Duster 340 4speed along with many others. I'm turning 50 this year and I have been very lucky. I really enjoy your channel because the film work is top notch and you are too. Keep it up Ben and I hope you get to 100k soon!!! I'd love to see more about your Dad's hot rods, VW and car club as well!
Great video Ben! Just moved to SoCal - I have a ‘65 mustang (4 speed🎉 289) and I’ve been hoping to catch you on the I-5 or at a car show to say thanks for your context and helping with my build! Between you and AndyKruze my stang is getting better by the year. Next up is a PMGR starter and headers!
enjoy your videos. I have a 67 mustang that I am trying to get back up and running. Used to drive it all the time but has unfortunately sat for way too long.
hello ben, I just want to say thank you for introduce me to valley cruise night. I´m from Brazil and really enjoyed. I drive 74 ford Maverick and 1966 Ford Galaxie here in Brazil.
While I don’t own a classic car yet, I will be picking up a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 one day in the future. Needs work (bushings, brakes, tires, transmission, seats reupholstered, dashboard redone), but is similar to the ‘66 Ford LTD 4 door hardtop I inquired on 2 years ago, a bummer I didn’t get that car since it only had 11,000 original miles on it.
I have a 1967 Chevy Nova SS Ls swapped and look forward to maybe doing a video with you one day. Either way keep up the great content for us classic lovers.
I have a 69 Mustang, 2013 GT500, and a Factory Five GTM I'm working on. Every weekend I try and knock out at least two car projects. Awesome video, all these small details make the car much better. Love the stance on your car by the way!
I’m trying to get my ‘68 Mustang roadworthy again this summer. I’m working on a disc brake swap currently and I have some 17” wheels ready to go on. Gonna recover the seats and the interior will be pretty good too. Cleaned up, it’s a nice looking 50 footer with a good sounding 289.
Greating from France , i got an 73 rs z28 and a 75 corvette stingraythe stingray ! love your content , so much a beautiful place and cultures there ! i leave on 200 km from BMW Munich and have the autobahn , ( my fastest speed 270 with my bmw e60 ) so yeah , i am bron in the false place , but got more v8 than 6 or 4 cylinders haha !
Still love that car. I've got a 65 fastback I'm about to put the engine and transmission from and start body work on if I don't I never will because it's just to much fun to play with, but I plan on getting my 87 mustang running With the engine and transmission from the 65 so it's not sitting up collecting dust,
'70 Chevelle wagon needs a full resto but is likely just going to be fixed up to be a runner. '92 Miata, will be a supercharged weekend car, '92 E36 building it into a track car, '96 E34 Touring daily driver and a '97 Suburban which needs to tow all these projects around.
I own a 2005 Cadillac CTS-V and enjoy the manual transmission and LS6 but really like Mustangs as well. I appreciate the effort you put into your videos and joined as a result. Keep the good vids coming Ben.
@@FourSpeedFilms Ben, RUclips just sent me an email saying that I cancelled my membership to your channel. I didn't ask them to do that so it might be just a scam email trying to get me to click on a link...
Fun and great video Ben! Got a 79 Camaro I’m working on, currently doing body, already done cowl dash panel, new floor panel patches, and I’m in the middle of working on driver side quarter panel, did some cutting and got it fitting just right, dropped it while working on it and got a very tiny ding very small but it’s such a big headache to look at haha. Trying to find an ls and slap a carb on it, bolt it right up to the 3 speed th350. It’s been a lot of fun
I have a 65 mustang im doing a full restoration on and doing a 70s style transam racecar build om. I also have a 1972 F100 shortbed as my daily driver, it currently has no A/C and being in the texas summer as been hell so in the next couple weeks or so Ill be getting a A/C kit for it
Yeah Ben, keep making videos of the stuff you do, lots of people will be motivated and inspired by them. Its kinda funny, you said go out and work on something. I just came in from starting my new engine build for the first time. My ears are still ringing.. its a touch loud. Have been engineering the electrical system for it between doing all the other stuff around here, and now its all wired for the engine with relays and fuses so I shouldn't have issues and fires. Still have to do the lights and turn signals so I can drive it, and if I ever get to do a drag and drive it will need wipers, but technically I could drive it now.... without brake lights. Wired like a race car, and muffled like one, which means it isn't. Its in the 68 LeMans I pulled out of a Nebraska pasture for $300 back in 2014, and painted with satin black Tractor Supply implement enamel. I wanted it to look kinda rough.. heh. In a few weeks I will be doing a quick truck build, and that will probably include a dirt cheap but 'custom' Rust-oleum paint job. I'm getting some pearl additive and lots of clear to go with it, so the truck will be candy pearl red-orange. You could do something similar with the Mustang, just an inexpensive single stage and shoot it in the garage. I did those kinds of things to get practice before painting something with expensive two stage paint. Single stage with a hardener can hold up pretty good, the paint on the 70 GTO still looks good and its 12 years old. That was $300 for the paint and hardener, the two stage back then was more than double that for just the base and a gallon of clear. Its not hard to do, and I bet you will have a knack for it.
67 Mustang, 200ci with the manual 3 speed transmission. Bunch of issues with timing sadly but it does run but never take it out more than a few kilometers sadly.
My 65 fastback was a T-code auto when I got it. Absolutely nothing wrong with that 200 six when properly tuned. There are even some performance upgrades like bigger carbs/intake and even a dual exhaust. But ultimately listen to the little devil on your shoulder and do a 302 swap. :D
Just get a strip of aluminum and drill two holes in it in correspondence with the ones on the back of the delete plate. Leave the strip longer than the plate so it extends past the edges of where it was cut and then use it to sandwich the plate to the dash. Hope I’m making sense here?
I took the speakers out of my '67 fastback last week! No point listening to any kind of music when the best track available comes from under the hood! 🎶
love the tires. what size and brand are they? did you do or need anything special to make them fit? i have the same wheels to go on mine and will need new tires for them.
I have a 1970 bug I'm building into a class 500 unlimited spec desert toy, 1990 240sx coupe drift car, 1450 class off road 1992 Ranger, 2007 Long Travel Tacoma, 2008 STI I bought crashed and rebuilt it in my driveway with truck tires on it rallyish car. That's it for 4 tire vehicles. I also have a 1978 cb550f I built into a cafe racer, 2005 crf450x supermoto street legal, a couple dirt bikes and a 19ft boat. I built, installed, fabricated, maintenance, shock revalve, alignments, wiring, ect. I did everything except tires mounted and balanced on all my vehicles.
Pull youre spark plugs, fill one cylinder at a time with rope, remove valvesprings and replace valve seals, no more blue smoke at start up😊rope will keep the valves from dropping if you compress it
I enjoy the content keep them coming, I’ve mentioned in the comments before that I’ve got a 1967 mustang fastback that I’ve had since high school it’s my first car 36 years it’s got the six cylinder engine in it and I’ve installed the top loader 4 speed manual in it and I’ve swapped the rear axle and front hubs to the V8 stuff no disc brakes yet but there in when I can get them. I live in Washington state
Hey Ben from Northern California I have a black on black 66 mustang coupe how about some center mag caps and maybe some 289 fender emblems unless you're going for that clean look what do you think
Love the videos mate keep them coming, my rides are 2005 VZ Holden Monaro & a 1972 Holden HQ Ute. I hope you never paint that thing because it looks killer 👌
Nice!, video keep em comming :) As for my self i have alot of work to do.... making me depressed just thinking about it all xD Maybe i will go to the garage later and install a new custom bracket for the kickdown rod on the edelbrock.... I drive a mild custom 1963 Cadillac Coupe de Ville Regards.
I have a 68 Mustang, I also deleted the radio. Oh the door lock clips suck too. I bought some rubber grommets from harbor freight, they are so much better.
good idea with the grommets. I always have a bunch of those in the shop, so I'll try it. I also used them for the front brake line-to-body brackets, because the steel fittings that came with my Wilwood kit didn't fi!
I'm pretty much just a chevy guy but certainly look forward to and enjoy all your videos. Long or short, informative or just fun they're all great. Really enjoy the ones that include your dad especially the ones with your granddad. So, keep em coming

Haha! Congrats on the engine build!
Love your car dude. Looks perfect just as it is. Enjoy the content, have subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more
Thanks!
Keep them coming Ben, great stuff. 👍
Thanks, will do!
I’m sure you’ll get it running good soon
Just get a strip of aluminum and drill two holes in it in correspondence with the ones on the back of the delete plate. Leave the strip longer than the plate so it extends past the edges of where it was cut and then use it to sandwich the plate to the dash. Hope I’m making sense here?
Smart!
I took the speakers out of my '67 fastback last week! No point listening to any kind of music when the best track available comes from under the hood! 🎶
love the tires. what size and brand are they? did you do or need anything special to make them fit? i have the same wheels to go on mine and will need new tires for them.
I got a 66 coupe, constant mantance but the driving/ show experience is worth it
Once you fix it a bunch the problems eventually stop lol…well until you want to change things again😂
67 Dart Gt, has the OG 273 but can’t get much out of it. 340 swap is the Mopar Plan
Love your videos ! From Belgium my daily is a 65 'stang.....
That is awesome!
Great video Ben!
Glad you enjoyed it
I have a 1970 bug I'm building into a class 500 unlimited spec desert toy, 1990 240sx coupe drift car, 1450 class off road 1992 Ranger, 2007 Long Travel Tacoma, 2008 STI I bought crashed and rebuilt it in my driveway with truck tires on it rallyish car.
Pull youre spark plugs, fill one cylinder at a time with rope, remove valvesprings and replace valve seals, no more blue smoke at start up😊rope will keep the valves from dropping if you compress it
Thanks for the tips!
@@FourSpeedFilms yeah
I have a 66 Mustang Coupe and the next thing i`ll do is the exhaust and headers in hope for better sound and performance. Still have the stock system.
Cool
Great vid as usual 👌
I’m buying a 66 mustang this week, what size tires do you run?

Great video as normal Ben!

I live in Washington state
That is awesome!
Hey Ben, what size rims and tires do you have on the stang?? They look great!
Hey Ben from Northern California I have a black on black 66 mustang coupe how about some center mag caps and maybe some 289 fender emblems unless you're going for that clean look what do you think
Bro I love the videos pls keep doing them!
1977 corvette just changed out the rear differential oil
Love the videos mate keep them coming, my rides are 2005 VZ Holden Monaro & a 1972 Holden HQ Ute. I hope you never paint that thing because it looks killer 👌
You should do a vide of putting in new pedals!
I could not live without a radio in my 70 Z/28 4 speed M22 Rock Crusher tranny.😢
Nice!, video keep em comming :)
As for my self i have alot of work to do.... making me depressed just thinking about it all xD
Maybe i will go to the garage later and install a new custom bracket for the kickdown rod on the edelbrock.... I drive a mild custom 1963 Cadillac Coupe de Ville

Ben where did you get the package tray? Thanks
Maybe check pony parts or NPD…I already forgot lol
@@FourSpeedFilms Got it.
I got a 1961 Ford Galaxie and my wife has a 1962 Fairlane 500.
Nice!
1966 Mustang, building a 302. What part of CA you in?
Mann I miss my old one
I have a 68 Mustang, I also deleted the radio. Oh the door lock clips suck too. I bought some rubber grommets from harbor freight, they are so much better.
good idea with the grommets. I always have a bunch of those in the shop, so I'll try it. I also used them for the front brake line-to-body brackets, because the steel fittings that came with my Wilwood kit didn't fi!
That’s smart!
Old paint is cool. Screams street gladiator. How’s the FITech EFI?
FiTech is still going good. My car is all apart right now for a video that will be out in a few weeks haha
What kind of color is it on your Mustang? It looks some kind of satin green..?
1978 C10 & 83 Monte Carlo
