Sometimes Protecting your capital is much more important than making money. Basically because if you lose your capital, making money is much harder. ''Missing the train'' vs. ''losing your money''. There are a lot of trains, but if your money is gone, it's over.

being rich near poor people isn't the issue.
being rich and flexing it absolutely is - most people aren't going to rob a millionaire for the sole reason that going to jail more often than not isn't a good option.
Now a millionaire that constantly flexes everything in your face... That's about the same as me randomly walking up to you and spitting at you constantly, at some point you will hit me - same effect, flex it often enough and you'll have more people willing to take it from you as the solely seeing you makes their blood boil.

This is incomplete advice. Never flaunt your money; it does you no good. However, you can and should talk about your salary with coworkers. The only way companies can fuck you over with inequal pay is if you don't know your coworkers' salaries. That's why companies tell you not to talk to others about your pay.
In most countries it's illegal for an employer to require you to keep your salary confidential, especially from coworkers. But, that isn't a universal rule that applies all over the world, so bear in mind your country might have different rules. If you can talk about your salary, you should, if only to make sure that you're not getting fucked over. Demand transparency from your employer, and hold them accountable by checking with your coworkers.

He lived in a neighborhood with many villa's. All big mansions with lots of ground and high walls/fences around their property. Our director got curious and asked the guy about break ins. He replied there were multiple break ins every month, came with owning a big house like that he said. Most people there had panic rooms for that specific reason. When asked if he wasn't afraid of it, he simply replied "Shouldn't live in a big house, with expensive cars on the drive way if you don't want people to know you have valuables they might like". Hello, Argentinian here tryin to share some knowledge and facts about the "Lechuga" case (Lechuga was the nickname that this Fernando Perez character used, A.K.A. "Sarna" by his enemies)
This Lechuga dude basically had a deal with some of Argentina's greatest Hooligan fans (also known here as "Barra Bravas") mainly Boca Jrs's Barra bravas, wich in time, he also recieved threats from them, but it wasnt them that he found his demise, it was from an ex collague and friend from Lechuga that owed him money. Many people hated Lechuga including his ex partner Pilepich, Pilepich made a video on social media calling out Lechuga and trying to rendezvous all people who was conned by Lechuga, it seems that this call was answered, and Lechuga messed with very heavy people.
After they found his body dismembered in a travel suitcase, the investigation started by capturing Pilepich, the mastermind of the crime started to drop false clues in order to make the police waste time and go nowhere, but when Investigations got Pilepich cellphone, they found out those cellphones were provided by the Ministry of Security from Buenos Aires City Government...
Turns out Lechuga also pissed off a Police Commissar, name Cordoba, who was the one that set the list on how-to-do the murder without getting cought, as we already know, it wasnt enough, from the moment they found out where the cellphones came from, the investigation arrested both Cordoba and Pilepich.

Smh this lesson should be basic. Stop broadcasting your life. I had a old hand me down bike when I was about 12-13. I would ride that thing everywhere, and one day my mom saw me ride to a store and leave the bike outside while I got what I wanted. Later that night she was like “you just leave that bike laying around for anyone?” And I told her her “nobody want that bike. It’s beat the hell up, mismatched tire colors”
“Yea, and there’s someone who don’t got a bike who’ll gladly take yours.”
She was absolutely right. Tucked my bike in the bushes to get some McDonald’s, and in about 5 mins, someone stole it. The streets are always watching. This social media shit just gives people an inventory of things. Stop setting yourself up.

My mom was the one in my family to teach me not to mention how much money I possess, and to always withdraw money quickly and discretely, watching my back whenever handling money in public. As with girls walking alone at night dressed ‘provocatively’, a rich guy bragging about how rich he is to strangers who know where he lives is what I’d call ‘someone asking for it’, for lack of a better definition. It sounds cruel but it’s the truth, that you just can’t trust strangers and world a free of rape and murder is impossible so it is your responsibility to keep yourself out of trouble.
