Bought one in February as a companion piece to my CMP acquired service grade 1943 M1911A1 Remington Rand. The Tisas fit and finish show the pride in manufacturing far above the affordable price. An excellent shooter also.
My Remington Rand came from the DCM in 1961, weeks before I was born. It sold for $12.50, it came with the DCM paperwork
@yrsued excellent. I hate you had to sell it.
These are really good guns. I found mine easy to shoot well even with the combination of small sights and old eyes.
Ya, them WWI-WWII sights are VERY small!!!
I love mine I use it as my carry
Sweet
I own the Tisas1911 Service and 1911 Tank Commander both in 9mm. Very nice shooting guns right out of the box.
They are really good pistols for a very good price!!
I love mine, I bought it 5 months ago and put 100 rounds through it so far and love it
You will continue to love it!!
These are as good as a WW2 Colt, Remington Rand, Springfield and many others that came after. The metallurgy is far superior to those war babies. And finally, I had a WW2 veteran who worked on our ranch in the early 50s tell me those sights are better than most people give them credit for. He said 'aim small, shoot small".....put that tiny front post in the tiny rear notch, place over target, and use good trigger control and you can hit a man 7 out 7 times at 100 yds all day. Remember these are battle pistols but he is doing long range justice with it. These are wonderful weapons just the way they were designed.
ABSOLUTELY!! This is a superb Pistol and priced right!! The ONLY thing I'm doing is I will be refinishing it!! I will take the Cerakote out and Parkerize it, just like the OG pistol!!
I agree. My 1943 Remington Rand from CMP is dead nuts on 7 for 7 at 50 yards and closer.
I love mine! Runs great!!
Thanks Gerry!! We will stay in touch through Facebook!!
I appreciate your adherence to muzzle flash and caution. You provide great content ! I am a subscriber now!
Thanks for watching and subscribing!!
I’ve owned 2 tisas’s and happy with both of them they didn’t jam they ran flawlessly fit and finish was fantastic both pistols were 350 a piece at the time
I just saw them right under $300 this past week at PSA
I bought mine two years ago and it came in a cardboard box with one magazine and the grips that were on it. Guess things have improved a little.
The folks importing these are doing a GREAT job!! You make a great purchase!!
Other than an old Colt mustang I’ve never owned a 1911 type pistol. Saw a picture of one of these on Gunbroker and on a whim I bought it. Fit and finish is absolutely amazing. With tax shipping and transfer fees it cost around $500. No regrets.
It is a great pistol, very well made, nice fit and finish!!
Thanks for the information and review of this pistol! 👍
Thought I have an excellent 1911A1 in 45ACP, and thought it's really all I really need, I "want" another one. And I've had my eye on the model you evaluated for awhile now.
Thanks again for having a great channel and your dedication to others in seeking out firearms, and related activities and items.👍👍
This is a good beginner 1911, it runs and it is very accurate for the modest price point!
Thanks for watching, I do appreciate your input!!
Please follow us on Rumble too!!
Yes sir. You are correct. Great 1911a1 and I have zero regrets. Its amazing quality.
Yes indeed!! They do make a really good 1911!!
Everyone seems to like this budget pistol , and it seems to be a reliable shooter .
It is a VERY good pistol, reliable and accurate and it sells for a very modest price to boot.
Thanks appreciate the report . MC from south Louisiana
Thanks for watching, much more on this pistol soon!!
I love my TISAS U.S. Army replica and have used in “as issued” 1911a1 match competition coming in 11th out of 36, first time shooting it (out of the box) all at 25 yards, R 🤚, Left hand and both hands. Best replica on the market.
I agree, this is a VERY good pistols, NOT perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but really good.
I just picked their version of the M45-A1 1911 Raider And let me tell you, this is a great pistol, almost identical. I will be picking this one up also.. Tisas has one coming out pretty soon with the US property marks and it's going to be parkerized And it's going to say property of U S- U.S.M. C. Hey thank you
Funny you mention Parkerizing, I was going to take this one and strip the Cerakote off and have Marty Parkerize it!! LOL, it should look great!!
I want to get that Raider and shoot it, I did have one of the OG M45's back in 2013, when they said USMC on the slide, dummy me, I sold it!!
@@yrsued It's showing up on their website and they have one out now but it's not parkerized, it's something else and I've seen the price is low around $350 also you can get your UID tag from Carolina laser works, they're about $10 a piece and I used a black toenail polish on the lettering on the gun to make it look more accurate..... There's a lot of videos on doing this too
@@lynch6642 I converted this one into my Longmire Pistol, with my real Stag Grips!! Now, time to refinish!!
Good gun. Good shooting. Good review.
It is a very nice pistol for the money!!
Thanks for the callout Yamil! 😊
Hey, we have a long history working together bro!!
I've got the Fatih from Tisas and it's an excellent shooter, I'm gonna have to get me on of their 1911's now.
They have a good selection of great shooters.
Enjoyed your video. Ironically, I just bought this exact pistol a week ago from Palmetto State Armory. Have been out of town since it arrived so have not had chance to shoot it, but should this week. I have a few WWII issued 1911's that I have collected and was drawn to this as it seems so accurate to original. I can hammer away with this without risking damage to my vintage collection.
EXACTLY!!! This is a great Shooter!!
Tisas is coming out with an updated version of this gun with correct roll marks and a correctly sized small ejection port, soon. I`ll probably pick that one up. It should be an almost perfect clone of the m1911a1 ;)
YUP, I was told that at SHOT Show. This one is a very good entry level pistol for anyone that wants to get into the 1911 world without breaking the bank!!
I just ordered one today from Buds. It will be my 3rd Tisas as I have this version and the original GI version too.
Love my Tisas 1911Al Army! The fit is one of the best I’ve seen in a pistol. Came with a Checkmate parkerized mag. Now use Wilson Combat 47DB mags and plan on getting a few Chip McCormick 8 round mags for it.
Are you aware that McCormick Mags are owned by Wilson?? Chip sold to Wilson about a year before he passed away. I miss Chip, he was a good friend.
My Tisas came with Mac-Gar Mags, like my MAC JSOC.
@@yrsued yes, I was aware. I really like the Chip match GI 8 round mag as well as the 47D’s for 1911’s.
@@michaelhodges8312 I had a pile of 47D's, now I have the higher end ones, with the Flat Wire spring, just for the lifetime warranty!!
1911👏🏻👏🏻💥💥🎯
😁
I paid 250$ on a sale for one. It will absolutely stack rounds on top of each other
YUP, you got yourself a GREAT price on your Tisas!!
This is a good Weapon..I've got the 9mm and the 45...No complaints really nice...By the way...get the Craft holster..Home Run...
It is a great pistol.
Which Craft Holster?
to let everyone know if you want a full guide rod you may find the factory spring is not standard and have to order one from wolff springs did that for my tanker 45 enjoy
That's good thing, we NEVER use Full Length Guide Rods here, we made a video about why we don't!
Thoughts on the Charles Daly 1911 ?
Honestly, I have never tested one or even handled one, I wish I could be more help!! I would love to test one.
i have a collection of fire arms myself and so far i am impressed how great these 1911s shoot compared to a center fired pistol, i am now a 1911 fan
You know that this IS a Centerfire Pistol, right?? Centerfire means the type of ammunition, Centerfire vs Rimfire.
You meant" Stryker Fired" handguns.
@@BaddFrogg777 Well, that is a good guess. But he never replied to my comment, so...
Hey Yamil!! How’s it goin!! While I do respect your opinion, “feel” is subjective, as we know, but saying it “feels” like any other 1911 it competes with…..that’s hard to believe from Tisas when you’ve got such excellent 1911’s out today like Springfield Armory, Rock Island, and even Girsan, some of the best you can get for the money. Tisas may actually not be a competitor as they’re typically very cheap when it comes to cost. I’m glad it’s a great gun for you so far. How does it compare to the Springfield’s out there?? Would love for ya to do a video about that and actually compare them to each other.
Hope you & yours are doin good brother.
God bless~
This is meant to be a "GOOD" beginner 1911, for this folks that want a pistol that runs and don't want to spend a ton of money getting started. These things are retailing for under $300.
This particular model is now discontinued, due to cosmetic reasons, they are still making it, but with the period correct ejection port!! I learned about it at SHOT Show this year and I shot this video prior to SHOT Show.
@@yrsued well, yeah for
@@KendrasEdge757 It is, this is a fantastic beginner pistol in the 1911 family!!
Part of the 'excitement' of this gun is the fact it is so cheap and the quality was never spared on any part.
@@johnwebb4191 I wouldn't call it cheap, that term might mean that it's NOT GOOD, to me is budget priced or inexpensive. IT is VERY well made!!
👍🏻
😄
They actually make one thats a better clone than that. It doesnt have the lowered ejection port, no magwell bevel, and actually says "property of US government" on the right side of the frame
That is pretty much what I said on the Video...
I heard you about the ejection port but not the other pertinent info. Either way, they're great pistols. I have one of each of the 3 versions and they're fantastic
@@vinceruland9236 This is a VERY well made pistol!! I'm refinishing mine soon, just for kicks!!
@yrsued they are fantastic pistols. I have yet to find a single thing to complain about
@@vinceruland9236 If, and only IF I was going to complain, I would say I would like to see a Blued or Parkerized version of their GI pistol!! I'm getting mine either Blued or Parkerized!!
The magazine well is more beveled than the G.I.
I would have to compare them, but I bet that you are correct. This is why this version is now discontinued and the new USGI version is out, closer to the OG 1911A1
Jamil , I’m sorry now I see/ hear how it’s pronounced !!! Muh bad the Y is almost like a J almost like the X and J in Spanish.
It’s because I was born in a Hispanic country and the J is pronounced like an H in Spanish and the Y like a J
I am hesitant on buying anything Turkish. I’ve heard that they do not answer the customer service phone calls.
Palmetto state has these on the low.
Am I correct??
Thanks.
The Importer for these is SDS Imports, they have GREAT customer service!! They DO answer phones and email, they DO take care of customers!!
I got the service model last week and called today just to talk. They answered the phone within a few rings and was a pleasant experience. I got mine at $387. Some, many it seems, claim they got it for less.
Stakeout!!!
You lost me, sorry.
@@yrsuedit's one of Tisas's models a hybrid of sorts a cross between a tank comander & their duty pistol. Beautiful piece. Check em out on their website.
@@georgeg.5488 I will do that!!
Tisas Stakeout 1911
@@BaddFrogg777 I stand corrected, I had food on my mind!
Why does everyone review the same ww2 1911a1? It’s cool. It works. It’s also just about the least interesting of all the guns they make. Somebody do a review of the Tisas Stakeout or maybe their 10mm.
There are many reasons why, Number 1 is price!! This is the lowest priced quality 1911 available now and that is probably why everyone is doing it!! The other ones, like the Ranger are much higher priced.
@@yrsued that makes sense.
@@leifhoklin2681 I want to do the Ranger, but it's pricey, this one is very affordable and more will be sold at this modest price!!
