This was posted 10 years after the documentary was made, and I'm watching this nearly 10 years after it was posted. Seems sad this festival doesn't exist anymore now, the Christian world sure needs more variety of music like there used to be.
I went to Cornerstone '99. I had never had such a good time at a Christian fest in my life! Many of my favorite bands I had grown to love in the 90s I finally got to see there.
I went in 03 and one memory I had was going to a Living Sacrifice last show after a long day of bands. This show was surreal as my brother and I were in the back just getting blasted by amazing music but not there mentally as we were falling asleep standing. The show was over past midnight and we slept for a couple hours waking up to the intense heat that never let you sleep comfortably. I have more, but share yours!
The sad thing is if we had a festival like this now, most people would be singing the same style of songs :( I went in '97. No cell phones. No iPads. Just friends and good music!
Favorite C-stone memory: during my group's first year at Cornerstone, our neighbor caught our attention. While we dined on canned beans and hot dogs, he feasted on swordfish steaks and the such. One night, we were talking and his campfire started to go out. To rekindle his fire, he sprayed a bunch of lighter fluid into the fire pit. A huge fireball ensued, singing the hair off his arms and erasing his eyebrows. After being cleared by medical, he returned to his campsite. From that point on, we called him "Burnie". To this day, I cannot remember his real name... for each following year, we just called him "Burnie". Here's to you, Burnie. May your eyebrows grow back full and lush!
It's a surprise for me and Rock Star Heavy and Soft Music 🎶 ! Jesus Christ superstar on the way home today Detroit Michigan and I Sing for Jesus Christian and play Keyboard Music! When I was a kid I was in With all the fun stuff and my mom and I are in to all of the world 🌎 music! God knows what you need before you ask! Thank God for Jesus Christ superstar!😊
Í saw White Cross, Vengeance, and the Blood Good band in 1988! It's a good thing to make it through the day and Rock on the day and drive back home to Detroit Michigan!😊! Amen 🙏.In Jesus name! Pastor BOB Beeman!😊
Was there ‘85 - ‘86 as a Jpusa commune member, then ‘88 - ‘89 as a visitor, and finally once more & again as a Jpusa member - also my first and only appearance on the farm ‘95.
This was a place for food for my soul. I wish I could have attended every year. Went to quite a few. My friend Bill Latocki and I got our name in the credits of this project. I introduced Bill to C-stone and he went quite a few times. He used to do the cover of the Bushnell paper for Cornerstone week. A bunch of photos of the fest. Nice layout. He also did a photo seminar at the fest called Learning to See. Nothing like it before or since. Sure miss it. Thanks for posting
I"m one of those mystery cameramen mentioned in the credits! So are Wade Bobbitt, Dean Andersen, Dave Ormesher, Clark Grey, Aaron Britton. We all worked for WCFC-TV 38 Chicago and covered Cornerstone 84 and 89.
I so desperately wanted to go to Cornerstone for the first five years or so when I was into Christian music. I remember poring over the promo material trying to think of a way to get there. Never did work out. Still regret it.
I attended 89-97. Chose not to try 98 since my wife & I didn't want to bring our 10wk old baby & a 2yr old. I never did go back after that. Some of the last 1/4 of this video was news to me. Ahhhh.... the memories....
Somehow it pains me to know that Cornerstone ended so suddenly just 4 years after I attended the festival for the first time in 2009. Hopefuly, Audiofeed will be the revival of said festival.
If anyone has any footage of 20/20 Blind, please message me . I know they played the new-artist Showcase stage in 93. Not sure what stages in 94 and 95. If you have flyers from these shows please share them with me as well.
Cornerstone is finished😨!!!???? Bummer! I never had a chance to go. So how do you find can out about Christian bands who aren't mainstream.....does anybody know a few.....?😮🤔🤔🤔😶😶😶😶

Miss this Festival. I always said that I would take my kids there. Guess I can't now. But had the time of my life and my faith rocked 1997-2002!!!

This is great. I went in '96 and '97. Gotta get back there!
I was at the Corner Stone festival in 1988! 😅

@27:09 'Adam Again' in 1984? wow. Thought I discovered them in 1993. Happy still, thank God!
I so desperately wanted to go to Cornerstone for the first five years or so when I was into Christian music. I remember poring over the promo material trying to think of a way to get there. Never did work out. Still regret it.
You may have had un unknown blessing?
i miss the corner stone festival seen some the best bands in Bushnell, Illinois
Made it to 4 of these deals in the early 90s

I spoke in tongues fior the first time at a Johnny Q Punlic set!🔥♥️🎸
Fantastic!!!
Does anyone have the second disc to this Documentary? It had a selection of videos of Bands that played over the years there.
@17:45 omg imagine, every gig you can have a parade of people come to your stage, and start your set to a hyped up crowd!
Is there any chance for a series of Cornerstone Festivals album releases - best of '84 and so on, year by year.
wish it would happen again in another form of another festival with the same concept....
+Hedrick Kwan It has, Audiofeed Festival in Urbana, Illinois. Their third year will be this July.
+Rawk4Life... tks for sharing this info...:)
+Hedrick Kwan Glad to be of service.
Loved the video but it was missing something. No coverage of the tribute to Gene Eugene! Was there no usable footage or was this just an oversight?
If anyone has any footage of 20/20 Blind, please message me . I know they played the new-artist Showcase stage in 93. Not sure what stages in 94 and 95. If you have flyers from these shows please share them with me as well.
Wait, what year was it actually recorded? Everyone looks so young! Wow.
Bring it back! We need revival in 2023! Too bad OTR got political.
I went a few rimes early 2000 when emo bands started flooding. I actually grew up in Bushnell but left in 2010....what happened to cornerstone?
12:20 IN 3-D!!!
what software did you use to rip the dvd i have it and i have ripped other dvds but this one I can't rip
If it started in 1984, 20 years would be in 2004, not in 2003.
+Jeff Ede count from 1983 20 years and you will stop at 2003.
I guess they've stopped counting.
Cornerstone is finished😨!!!???? Bummer! I never had a chance to go. So how do you find can out about Christian bands who aren't mainstream.....does anybody know a few.....?😮🤔🤔🤔😶😶😶😶
