Well as amazing as all these people were, no car designer influenced the hot rod world like the legendary Tom Daniel. With vehicles like the “Red Baron”, “Beer Wagon”, “Paddy Wagon”, and “Tijuana Taxi”, he didn’t just capture the imaginations of millions of young gearheads, he and Monogram gave them the models to build their own version. But there is so much more to the story and the elusive man and his creative, artistic genius. Today, Stacey and the GEARZ crew journey to Utah to find out more about the legendary car designer Tom Daniel. After that, Stacey gets cutting and chopping on the Toolboxer projects, then we venture out on the road to visit a crazy fiddle player and his project with rust issues! Only on GEARZ!

I grew up building car models throughout the 70s and the Tom Daniel kits were my favorite and they were the few models that I didn't blow up with a firecracker!
Tom Daniel is one of my all time favorite transportation design artists

Been a big fan since the truck days. You got me excited enough to start rebuilding my old square body (which is now a stalled project). The show seemed to move around a lot so I'm glad I was able to find it and catch up on RUclips!
when I was a kid I had everyone of those models, And the AMX is my dream car. I just love the look of that car! Just the stance of the car blew my mind!

Hi I enjoy your show. the toolbox idea is something i wanted to do for a long time. I use small cars as my complete tool box so I don't have to walk back and forth. i can also jump start carry a compressor ,welder, inverter, hydraulic pump off a pto to power whatever. my little car is my shop. that being said a you-tuber named matt from the channel diesel creek has a 671 Detroit diesel that he wants to use. instead of a complete box how about the complete bench with a pony crane . a huge go kart with a box body. any way I thought my idea from years ago would have been epic. and here you are making one today . what do you get when you have more than 1 motorized tool box ?............a race . run what you brung tool box race. reminds me of the back of a station wagon doing donuts full of kids kinda fun.
