  • After a 20 year hiatus Ivan dons a tie and visits the Bugatti Trust, the museum and study centre at Prescott Hill.
Not only does he get to see the 1924 Lyon centenary exhibit focussing on his beloved Type 35 but is also there when the commemorative bronze sculpture is delivered by sculptor Tim Potts.
Thanks to curator Angela Hucke and team for the warm welcome.
For more information on the Bugatti Trust, visit www.bugatti-tru...
For more information on Tim Potts, visit www.timpottssc...
For enquiries regarding purchasing a sculpture, please contact Angela at the Bugatti Trust

You must get Ivan in touch with Jay Leno. He is a major, major Bugatti guy..Seeing that Ivan is Bugatti royalty I'm sure they would have a lot to talk about... and film... for both of them.

What a wonderful video! Ivan is a national treasure, and that treasure chest filled with all things Bugatti was a treat. I would love to become a docent at the Aston Martin Heritage Trust someday. I shall be donating my Aston to them upon my passing. Thank you again for another superb video.

The museum looks amazing but somehow it's splendour was magnified X 10 when overlaid with Ivan's passion and narrative; getting as many hours of him in full flow on video is a must, and Susie you do it so well.

That airplane is a sad story in itself. A group in America built a replica some years ago.
On their Facebook page people were welcome to comment. Virtually all the comments were simply outright admiration of their efforts. I wrote in that it might be worth considering more tail volume, and even stretching the aft fuselage. I said I reckoned it would be a handful anywhere near the stall. Whoever wrote the replies shot back that the simulations all said it’d be okay.
In the end, it was not.

Thanks so much for doing this video, Suzie. I had heard of the Bugatti Trust, but never saw inside. I loved the sculpture as well by Tim Potts. I first heard about the Caruso racing team in an earlier Shed Racing video from Ivan talking about the midget. Then I visited the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing (EMMR) in Pennsylvania and saw a photo of the Mike Caruso Racing team cars taken in 1948 powered by Offy engines. That would be a great thing to see Ivan's midget on display at the Bugatti Trust or even at the EMMR.
