it really depends on the environment you are working in - in my specific case I follow a simple process of rubbing my hands and always wear loafers with rubber on the bottom. If you work in an environment known to have a lot of static electricity you show wear a grounding bracelet.

I hadn't thought of it. i had opened up and cleaned the laptop plus i looked at another tip that the bottom plate u open around flat intake area has a filter cloth that gets blocked over time. In my case this is 9 yrs old so it was blocked. U can pull it out and for now my performance is better. Temp range for cpu is 65+/-10 c and gpu is around 55. Not sure if this is good or not, i will get thermal paste tomorrow so will do that then
Update - used arctic MX 4, anti-static gloves and 99% isopropyl alcohol. Now temp for processor is around 31 - 35 mostly but to 45 max. Meanwhile GPU was 36-40. So most effective between the two methods
