Who would’ve thought after 6 years of watching Scott we finally find out about his deep love for SpongeBob.
You can tell by some background music he uses, for example, “Me For You” and “Witty Fellow”

What's funny is that the GameCube version still has the files for both the show's intro and a special DVD trailer on the disc, it's just not accessible...

As someone who grew up with Revenge of the Flying Dutchman and had to talk to people who had no clue what the fuck I was talking about, always thinking I meant Battle for Bikini Bottom, let me just say:

The fact they didn't put the SpongeBob intro on a GameCube disk baffles me. I mean, Enter the Matrix had several full motion video sequences, and yes, I know it was on two disks, but each one had multiple of these cutscenes.
I loved Battle for Bikini Bottom, especially the industrial park music
I still can’t believe SpongeBob only took up 30 minutes of a 2 hour 17 minute episode. When watching the actual episode, it felt like SpongeBob took up way more time.

When I watched the Childhood Game Collection video for the first time, after a certain point, I felt like I was watching a SpongeBob video game retrospective given how many SpongeBob video games were featured in that video. So it's rather fitting that a montage of all the SpongeBob bits from that video would be uploaded on this channel.
Somebody oughta do a supercut of the Childhood Games episode, but only when Scott says Spongebob.
I'm also imagining an alternate timeline where Scott didnt get into a video games and instead became a Spongebob RUclipsr. As a result, Bubble Bass wouldve been parodying Scott instead of the Nostalgia Critic.

This entire video showcased to me how good it was that:
-I had an older brother with a selection of games to give me good taste from the start
-I was a mega-autist who only cared about cartoons that never got games
-my family was too dysfunctional to ever go see animated movies so I didn't care about licensed games at all

I grew up without a TV so that may have spared me from licensed games. I ended up with mainly having what we might call mainstream games, like Mario, Zelda etc. I think my parents just ended up buying whatever they were told was popular and that ended up meaning I got a lot of good games
Kinda sad that you didn’t have a real childhood though. That’s the fun of licensed games.

Yo shoutout to skunk fu. Havent thought or heard of that show in years. You mentioned it and I had a flash of a scene of them flexing their tongue muscles to prove who had the strongest tongue (Which is oddly sexual in retrospect) and it having repeated whip cracking sounds
You know there is a SpongeBob PC minigame collection with the same premise of Creature of the Krusty Krab called Nighty Nightmare. Involving the character's dreams. I never got past the one where SpongeBob has to escape the Jellyfish alien spaceship. And after the giant Plankton section, which involved him beating him up a giant Mr.Krabs, he gets eaten by an even bigger whale and you have command other Plankton like Pikmin. Not sure if better or worse then this but it'd be funny if Scott would give that a look someday alongside The Yellow Avenger,Beach Party Cook Off, Rehydrated, and end it off with Cosmic Shake.

Creature from the krusty krab is the LSD trip of spongebob games. And it has one of the most unsatisfying endings of any game I've ever played.
Someone should challenge themselves and make a compilation of all the times Scott brought up and or talked about SpongeBob related things throughout all his videos^^

I remember liking a lot of licensed games as a kid, including SpongeBob games, but when it comes to SpongeBob games, I always preferred the movie game to battle for bikini bottom because I prefer the activities in the movie game. I even enjoyed revenge of the flying Dutchman and creature from the crusty krab along with Atlantis squarepantis, but I never played a few of the games.
Now I’m curious if Scott played The Cosmic Shake.

Creature from the Krusty Krab on DS is even worse cause not only is it a sub par 2d platformer again, but it has garbage touchscreen controls as the ONLY option
Scott is like me my first system was a gba, my first game was a SpongeBob game, and SpongeBob is my favorite show
Creature from the Krusty Krab screams wasted potential. The concept, the cover art, the ideas, and even the title screen music showed that it could have been as good, if not better than Battle for Bikini Bottom. It could have been an extremely fun, inventive and exciting experience. Like the Super Mario Galaxy equivalent of SpongeBob. Instead it turned out to be a half baked mess that drags boring levels on for eternity.
Nearly shit my pants when he started talking about old SpongeBob games on the pc… I have an extremely vague memory of playing some kind of SpongeBob board game on the pc but alas he didn’t mention it. The search goes on

I'm one of those people who thinks Battle for Bikini Bottom is one of the best games of all time. I replay it all the time. It's easily one of the best platformers ever. Only one I love as much is Mario 64. I just don't see how you can't think it is. Near perfect control, the design is so well thought out and the glitches make the game even better imo, and opened up more discussion online for the game. It's just so well done even with it's flaws it ends being fantastic. It feels like the show it's based on, especially with it's imperfections. Maybe best games ever is too high, but it is certainly the best licensed game ever if not in the A/S tier of platformers.
Also, Scott is me. I brought the book to school, My parents got me all 3 versions, and I replayed that final boss hundreds of times. I thought it was so cool.

Honestly with the times I heard Spongebob music in your videos, I was wondering when we would get a video talking about Spongebob games. and it's funny to think you actually played a lot of the Spongebob library.
During my childhood, I had Revenge of the Flying Dutchman, Battle for Bikini Bottom, and The Movie game for PS2. Along with the PC Port of The Movie and Employee of the Month. I somehow found enjoyment in all of them, even Revenge of the Flying Dutchman and the Point/click games. The only time I didn't quite enjoy a Spongebob game was trying my friend's copy of "The Movie" game for GBA, that was bland.

You know what I never played battle for bb but I played the movie game and I just realized the movie game is battle for bb just on a smaller scale
It's a shame Scott never played The Yellow Avenger. It's a much better DS SpongeBob game than Atlantis Squarepantis IMO.

I had Atlantis SquarePantis on one of those emulator game Paks on the DS but the game had a anti piracy software that made this jump over a pit impossible (5ish min in the game)
