- Matt Graham is a former police officer and U.S. Air Marshal. He then spent 12 years working with the CIA. When Graham finished his service, he ventured on to design a wristwatch that would be able to weather the types of activities he spent his career taking part in - and thus Ares Watches was born. Matt is now the Owner and founder of Ares Watch Company, an American watch company that’s dedicated to manufacturing some of the best Mission Timers on the market.

This gentleman seems like the ultimate operator. He's hyper competent, emotionally intelligent - emotionally neutral, excellent memory and processing- a bear that comes across as a Teddy Bear. Wish we had more like him.
I wish he would address all the controversy with the quality control of Ares. Most of us do our research before dropping $2000 on a timepiece and the QC issues are the elephant in the room that stops a lot of people from purchasing his watch.
Unfortunately they don’t address it. I’ve had 3 fail on me and I work at a desk. If they address this maybe I’d give them another shot but until then I’ll go Swiss.
Needs to up the QC, man. I've been dying for one but, can't get one until they fix the issues.

I love my Diver-1. My wife got it for me back in February of 2020 before we got married on October 1st 2022. This Diver-1 was on my wrist when I got married. Has been a trustworthy companion on other significant moments of my life.

I love this guy and he is awesome, but Rolex movements are better than ETA movements any damn day of the week... This is not a Chevy vs Ford argument either. Rolex is the tank of watch movements.
What an incredible interview. I have to watch as many of Matt Graham's videos as I can find. I feel like I can learn so much from him in being a better martial arts instructor. I already try to meet my students where they enter my life in skills, talent, and experience, but man, after seeing this I know I can do better and it gives me focus.

Ok heres an idea, cut the bottoms out of his regular sneakers, replace the bottoms with a see-through glass material and then simply follow him all day long filming each of his steps so that you can see the soles of his feet as he walks, put it in slow motion and stretch the footage out to a couple hours and then guess what? That's your podcast.

I just bought a Diver 1 from Ares. Amazing story from Matt! Inspiring. Can’t wait to get it. I chose this Diver 1 Special Project over the Rolex Sub because it supports Matt and is American made. I know where the money is going. I know the quality of the watch I’ll be getting. Stellar content!
