    As a former heroin and fentanyl addict I can confirm Evans hypothesis. The over prescription of addictive opioids and then the subsequent corrections of not prescribing nearly as much created a void In the drug market that the cartels took advantage of which led us to the fentanyl crisis. I started with pills then I couldn't find those and had to move to street drugs. Burned bridges with my family then started living on the streets of Detroit (close to the drugs) the story was the same with nearly all other homless addicts around me. I'm 26 years old. 2.5 years clean

    • @JR-wo3sn
      @JR-wo3sn 10 месяцев назад +9

      There's also the option of having the discipline to stop taking the pills. I was on them for four years from the VA. They suddenly stopped giving them. So I just stopped taking them. It was a month of feeling like shit, but never did it cross my mind to bang fetanyl or heroin. Made an adult decision to deal with the withdrawals. Everyone can point fingers all they want, at the end of the day, it's choice. Glad you're clean, however it's all about choice.

    • @Ceasefirestories1776
      @Ceasefirestories1776 10 месяцев назад +7

      @@JR-wo3sn yeah well there are a lot of factors that go into something like that. I was a young kid that was swayed into turning to the heroin when I was 17. The first time I got sick from the pills I didn't even know what was happening to me. I was young and scared not fully realizing what I got myself into and I had that herion readily made available to me when they realized I was in a vulnerable spot. Btw I snorted the heroin when I started which is a way more appealing way to a young man and doesn't seem as aggressive. What I'm getting at is that it isn't always as simple for other people like it was for you. I went through hell during my addiction trying to find my footing and get my shit together. At no point did I want to be there

      @@Ceasefirestories1776 Good for you hero.
      If only all those doctors, scientists, addictions specialists, psychologists, and psychiatrists had asked you, they could have kept addiction off of the list of fatal diseases.
      Shit, just quit. Problem solved. Brilliant.
      Now if we could just get those damn weak minded bipolar losers, and those ridiculous diabetic assholes to just quit being bipolar and diabetic, the national debt could be solves in a matter of weeks.
      I struggled with addiction for 25+ years before I finally got a handle on it. How and why I finally got a grip doesn't matter. The fact is that addiction has been proven irrefutably to be a fatal disease. It's hereditary and it's literally beyond the control of people truly afflicted with it. The fact every once in a while some guy comes along and is able to stop using drugs or alcohol through "just choosing" only proves that you don't have the addiction gene or whatever the hell it is. Of the millions and millions of people who all have struggled, and died. Like actually knew they were killing themselves and just could *NOT* stop themselves. But the few people who were able to just walk away from it, to talk about how it's a simple matter of will, is the height of ignorance. It's literally like a person who's never broken their leg telling a guy with a compound fracture to his femur
      that he just needs to stop being such a pussy and get up and walk. Because you twisted your ankle once and "know what it's like."
      It's absolutely awesome that you were able to walk away from opioids with minimal issues. But throw such ignorant misinformed bullshit around to people who are dying is beyond irresponsible.
      It's no different than if I started telling combat veterans that P.T.S.D. is just a matter of forgetting about it and manning up. Because I had a traumatic experience or two and have been able to push through it, in no way gives me the right, the education, or what have you to go telling guys who haven't been able to move past their own trauma that because I did it, they should be able to.

    I live in Playa Vista, CA (heart of LA). It will blow your mind what the vagrants/crazy/homeless are allowed to do. I live among this mess and see it. Friends of mine from other countries say that these area are the worst slums in the world.
    Of course there is upside in CA. My family and I live well above average here in Los Angeles. But, the first break in my professional career we are out of here asap.
    The mayor of LA and gov of CA spit in the face of the taxpayers here. They spend billions and only increase the homeless population. (of course, they incentivize this behavior).
    We just recently had a huge fire that caused damage to the I-10 highway. This fire was started by a homeless encampment. There is "homeless" under every over pass in LA. They start fires to stay warm at night, jerry-rig electrical connection to light posts etc.. This fire that will cost CA taxpayers millions is caused by the Ca's refusal to do anything about "homeless". The state of CA is going to do everything possible to hide the fact that this was caused by poor management of the homeless.
    They say homelessness is a victimless crime. That is crap. The damage to the I-10 if proof. In fact 50% of the fires that spread and get out of control in LA are started by homeless encampments.
    Before moving here I had never seen any person poo/urinate in a public space, use drugs in public space, have sex in a public space and jump trash in the middle of the streets. Anyone of these actions can be seen seen daily, 365 days a year...
    I know, just leave. I will eventually. But, for the folks that live in other states beware of any crap CA is exporting to you. What they are saying in this podcast are true and are 100 times worse in person.

    Here’s a challenge for people. Did you vote in the last presidential election? Did you vote in your last mid-term election? Did you vote in your last local election? Too dispel a myth about jailhouse rehab, it’s not really a thing. Sure people might get some “help” with their addiction, but the only way an addict gets clean is if they WANT to get clean. You can’t sentence someone into kicking a drug addiction. Especially since it’s probably as easy, if not easier, to get drugs in the state penitentiary than it is on the street.

    These guys are all smarter and more successful than myself (though as it pertains to what I’m about to say I’ve been fairly successful) and I have a massive respect for all of them but I feel it’s important for someone say this - I’ve done more substances than the overwhelming majority of the population and started on Pepsi and other hard/very addictive stuff at 16 or 17 (never did needles though) but I’ve always controlled it and never really done anything consecutively enough to form an addiction (I have gotten fairly close though), yes I get everyone says they control it but I actually did/do and haven’t done much of anything for years. My point is though that if I ever went down that hole and let myself go I don’t want anyone blaming anyone else but me. It’s not a drug manufacturer or some dealers fault, it’s mine.
    That said, yeah they’re horrible humans for knowingly selling it and bribing the FDA and all that and deserve to pay for it, especially the people selling pressed bars or opioids (fentanyl pressed into prescription pill form to be sold as that prescription) because that’s the stuff that will actually get kids killed who are just experimenting and don’t know any better (FYI if you can “snap” it in half like aspirin or other real tablets it’s likely real, if it kind of just crumbles when you try it’s fake, also specifically for Adderal IR [meth if it’s pressed] it generally tastes sweet if it’s real, there’s other ways to test everything but this is already a book) but for most things including actual prescriptions from doctors the majority of the blame at the individual level goes to the people that are allowing themselves to get addicted to stuff. And yes I get that there are a lot of exceptions to everything I just said, for instance people with chronic pain that get addicted to opioids but again there’s other cheaper and better alternatives and people need to do their own research before they get put in those situations because there’s actual solutions/cures for many things and many of those have no side effects yet aren’t approved by the FDA (wonder why) so you’ll never know about them unless you seek out that information (you can easily by them online as research chemicals). I’m not siding with the FDA or dealers or manufacturers, I just think that society has been putting way to much of the blame on all of those people and less and less blame on those actually choosing to repeatedly do those things and allow themselves to get addicted and I think in doing so society is allowing addicts to justify their own actions as being the fault of others instead of their own which doesn’t help them and actually makes it worse because it puts them in a victim mentality. (again I’m speaking in generalities, there’s exceptions).
    Anyway que the “I’m not reading all that” comments

    Or outfitted like robocop and funded ethically, not set them up.
    To be looked at like common thugs. Associated with criminal proceeds, i'd rather go to kitten gear. Be bought and paid for by Uncle Sam. 10:52

    Whatever happened to reasonably moderate logical people who aren’t hopelessly beholden to identity politics? Like people with genuine convictions based on thoughtfully considered ideology? I’m a college educated registered democrat from NY but I have many core values that would be defined as conservative. I believe in individual liberties, strong 2A, freedom of speech regardless of who’s offended, one’s home is their castle, reducing wasteful spending, demilitarization of police but stepping up enforcement of “broken window laws”, no squatters rights, genders are defined biologically XX / XY, properly convicted chomo’s deserve the woodchipper, the failed war on drugs is useless but we need more public assistance. I also believe in reforms for health insurance, income tax, employment laws, simplifying legal immigration process, ending wasteful spending on bloated ineffective programs, supporting our servicemen during & after their terms etc. My partner of nearly 20 years is considerably more liberal than I which drives me nuts but I respect her and her values even though I believe many of her ideas are misguided or not substantially justified, she genuinely stands by her ideals. So instead of arguing over petty things, I find it more valuable to question the core aspects of controversial beliefs even if the end result is agreeing to disagree because at the end of the day it’s a matter of opinion and people will justify that by any means necessary which I can accept so long as they’ve properly educated themself & seriously considered other viewpoints.

    I wonder if LA's skid row is like Vancouver in that the majority of the "people" are not actually from there but have been exported/moved to the area because it's pretty unlikely they will die from the weather and its a major drug importation point resulting in cheaper prices..I mean for years the RCMP in Alberta was putting people on the bus to Vancouver because at the time our winter was mild enough to not kill people...

    Add to address Andy's comment about Democratic socialists it is a version of socialism but people should really understand that democratic practices or democracy is from the root in Greek which essentially means mob rule so democracy is Socialism or communism lite. That's why you don't want to become part of a democracy or being a democracy because any schmuck or power block or manipulated group of people who can be weaponized will be weaponized to vote. People can knock it all they want but the system they had under feudalism where you could only vote if you were a landholder and we had that here in this country in the beginning means you have people with a vested interest in what's going to happen voting now you can make an argument that everyone has a vested interest but I don't really think that's the case. And to just circle back to the skid row issue in La do you want those people voting? So is democratic voting as a system a really good thing? I don't know if I believe that. How about we have a means test for reasoning capability and a modicum of intelligence before you can vote.
    We're also back to my argument for public mythology which by the way is a phrase from Philip zelikow the chairman or director of the 9/11 commission who has given great long talks and speeches about public mythology and how great it is for forming culture and societal cohesion at various Enterprise Institute and think tanks but I'm not so sure that the way these guys are talking about it is really the way they mean it I think they mean it in a sense of psychological warfare and propaganda of the really ugly type. I think the same is true in these guys talk about democracy cuz I don't think for a second that when they're speaking of democracy when you have Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden or anybody talking about bringing democracy to other countries they don't really mean democracy in a sense of letting everyone vote they mean Capital markets and trade being able to get into semi closed systems and of course before you get any of that it really means banking which means central banks which means central banks governed by international monetary fund World Bank and central banks in the west such as the ones in London. Add people laugh at this but I don't think it's funny and I don't think this is a cookie thing to talk about there are these Concepts out there one of them is called code switching and the other one's actually a much older term called diglossia. And I will just demonstrate what those Concepts or terms mean in regard to what I'm talking about by referencing my previous example so code switching is when you say something and only a part of your audience or certain people that are receiving that message are going to understand what it means so for instance when Hillary Clinton is code switching talking about foreign policy bringing democracy into Libby and Egypt she's talking about knocking over governments or creating conditions where governments can be knocked over to lead in Western Financial systems in Commerce and trade whereas we're reading that as voting rights and all the other happy fun stuff we used to be taught in Civics classes. This is not Alex Jones conspiracy s*** and this is not really that hard to figure out these people play with language which is of course the primary means of attack and subversion by marxists and Communists and these people are doing the same thing so we really need to understand that when they say something you don't really know if what they're saying is what you think it means in common parlance or colloquial terms that everyone in the public understands or if they have another meaning in mind that is meant for another segment of Their audience.

Police people have gotten that notion is because when people think about the funding, they relatively think of criminal proceeds in game assets that they seize for funding. Is that where they get? • @Stretch1931

    In my opinion, to have financial interests or gains detached from politics, it's going to require an oversight committee, just to watching them and always keeping them in line, and to require a law that states they are not allowed to leave politics and work for certain companies that might have a vested interest in your campaign. But there will always be sneaky politicians that will find loopholes. And they will never vote to allow an oversight committee. So either this would have to come from another independent organization that is completely detached and has more power and control, or it likely will just never happen. There might have been rules/laws on the books that they probably whittled down over the generations. It would also be good if political campaigns were paid for by a campaign office, and funds were given to you where you could only use the money in the fund to run the campaign. Everything would be monitored and managed, and just like sports, there would be a political referee that would make sure they all played fair, and fact-checked them all the time. And anything untrue would have to be immediately redacted or else they would lose their right to stay on the campaign. They would then forfeit their seat in the race. And have a REAL oxford-style debate, where they have a statement given by the moderator, they either take a for or against stake in the statement. Open with their initial comment about why they are for or against, and then have a clean and fair debate with equal time for each party to retort or counter the other's statement in a fair back and forth discussion. And have a real moderator that is actually calling BS on each one as they have judges in the room going over every comment/statement, cutting off their mics when they are over time or out of line, and immediately interrupting the person with a corrective statement that what they just said is not true, that it is a lie, and the true statement is xyz, and require them to agree they made a mistake before continuing with the debate. This needs to be heavily cleaned up. The problem with the debates is that it's on a channel that is making advertisement revenue while they just let each party aimlessly ramble with no real structure, and then we're supposed to intelligently vote on these people. It's a joke, and it's sad that the world's most powerful country can't get their stuff together. And everyone is looking at us, like we're the parents in the room, and all we can do is bicker and fight, more than the kids.

    I hate to knock you guys on this point over and over again but whenever it starts talking about liberalism vs communism or liberal economic theory or political parties this is all the public mythology aspect of how this country runs and if you go back to my other comment and look at what I'm talking about with the Bloodlines and the corruption and how these people are related that's really how this works I mean America is a Pirate Cove just like Britain is a Pirate Cove these people are Land Pirates unfortunately what they need to do is they need to give you what's called a parallel version or a parallel narrative much like you see with like political investigations or criminal investigations to get covered up what they do is they create a parallel investigation that fills in all the blanks and hides all the loose strings and the details that would actually show people what is really going on so this idea of liberalism versus communism while it is true Revolution is a top-down process as carry Bolton and others have proven in their writings in their books, it's not really liberalism or liberal capitalism versus communism because at the top the people that actually create these systems in these revolutions they believe in all of it and they're essentially technocratic socialists and communitarians which is essentially the end state or evolution of Communism capitalism and everything.
    But the reason why I'm picking on Evan's narrative or his commentary hear about liberalism vs communism is not to pick on him but to show you with the information you have and the information you're missing in The Lies by Omission that don't allow you to see all of the grammar and all the details you're putting together models that don't really comport with reality and don't make sense you have faulty or missing premises which means the arguments need to be thrown out that is a foundation of logic. Once you put in the fact that these people are all related through blood they run basically what are you know essentially organized crime families through private membership associations and trusts basically flaunting the whole private system that was set up and is used in every country by every group of people that do not want to be part of plebeian government citizen systems and is also scriptural of biblical by the way, what they are doing is they are flaunting that whole system and we're just running familial criminal organizations and this is nothing new like I said but if you don't have these aspects in your system you're not going to understand how these things work.
