Back when assassin's creed made you feel like you're playing as an assassin and not some big war hungry brute tearing armies apart like they did with the newer RPG games
Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood were the best when it came to real "Assassin" games. Black flag was the best all around even though it had pretty much nothing to do with "Assassins". I stopped at Origins. The setting was great as I love ancient Egypt, but the RPG/grinding element they added to it just killed the game for me as I never wanted to play it again after finishing it.

Up until Origins I enjoyed the games. After that it just felt like a bunch of run of the mill rpg game containing the AC moniker.
still good games but not assassins creed games . Origins is good too . You are an Assassin with a serious story .
