Man, I am not surprised that this is one of Iwadare's compositions. There's a certain part that gives me some "Phoenix Wright about to lay some truth bombs" vibes. An amazing and energetic final battle song. A very epic tune, but not too overbearing. This soundtrack is on my "I need to listen to it more until I end up getting sick of if" list, and for good reason. Hell yeah, Dreamcast games.
Spot on. Sounds kind like the pursuits of AA Investigations
“Wow, you really are completely nuts! Woooooooo! You better real yourself in your psycho!” Millennia telling it like it is.
This one officially slaps
Elena defeating Zera with White Apocalypse is my favorite moment in this game.
The meekest casting down ultimate evil, it’s poetic justice.
Started listening to this and as a huge Lunar fan immediately went "Huh, wait this isn't Iwadare is it?" But of course it is, such an amazing composer.
I am merciful.... To the Dead
Undead, "OBJECTION!"
The music and battles in this game were great. best i liked was the dialogue, i remember almost every NPC would make me laugh when interacting with characters.
Back in 2002 this was the first non-Final Fantasy game I bought for the PS2. Suprised I was how much Final Fantasy it actually was:) To this day, an alltime great game and happily bought the steam anniversary edition
The plot of Grandia II stands as more relevant than any Final Fantasy game, decades on.
@@excrono Not really. Grandia 1 had a more original plot to some extent.
Awesome song, awesome game and awesome soundtrack. One of my all time favorites.
What a jam! I missed out on the opportunity to buy the Grandia 1+2 compilation the other day, and now prices are a bit higher on the after market. I am definitely adding these games to my backlog though :D
BANGER
I like it
Man. Grandia 2 is a good game. pretty linear, but the combat is on its own level
A lot of people criticize the final boss for being a letdown and kinda a weak pushover.... When that's kinda the whole part
At the end of the day, the final boss was just another weak human being who deluded himself into thinking he obtained godhood, when in reality at the end when even the slightest chance of defeat was possible he was afraid.
That fear is something that all humanity has and has to overcome, that "humanity" is "weakness" to the final boss and ultimately THAT was his downfall.
His own hubris lee to his defeat.
And ironically in the end, the final boss was just like everyone else.... Another scared human being

If only this epic badass game wasn't so ravenously anti-religious.
im glad it is and the game being anti-religious makes it even better
That's probably what made me love it so dearly.
Its story is a warning about putting blind faith in those that appear outwardly good and the power the people have to fight for their self determination. That doesn’t exclusively apply to organized religion.
And Granas also ruled the state, its openly anti theocratic, which is essential now more than ever.
personally doesn't matter for me. People that are staunchly religious and those that are staunchly anti-religious come across as emotional douchebags.
