- I don't know if this will be the 2nd to last upload I do but for now, here's the track you've all been waiting for.. The Track that you hear when you FIGHT against Nyx.
Whether you call it "The Battle for Everyone's Souls" or "Battle Hymn of the Soul" I gotta say.. This one's not bad. But I still do somewhat prefer how the original handled the guitars.
Note: Any tracks with the title "FINAL WASH" or "FULLY CLEANED" mean that it's the full track with no missing parts whatsoever. I'll go ahead and rename the previous videos to reflect this going forward.

I'll never forget Yukari getting charmed when Nyx had 3 hits left and casting Diarahan on my first try. I was an hour into the fight I was so defeated. I quit and grinded for like 8 hours 😂.

Yup it still happens.. In my experience, the fight is slightly easier, but in its own ways at the same time harder. The only blessing the fight isnt several hours long.

The silent piano part at 1:18 really gets to me. Every fighting theme is energetic, but this one has it’s calm moments. For a split moment it allows you to process what’s actually going on: you’re in an unwinnable fight, you’re fighting for the fate of humanity - all of your friends knowing how futile it is decided to join you for this anyways. It’s both beautiful and tragic. That short moment really allows you to take all of that in.

First playthrough on Merciless. I was level 94, beat the reaper 3-4 times with Siegfried. Decided I would not use Armageddon for something trivial. Held onto the MC Theurgy the whole Nyx fight. Got to the Death phase, Nyx put everyone at super low hp. Best Armageddon ever.

Had to give this a listen after I heard people complaining about it and...it sounds good; I prefer the original (arranged tracks do seem to lack a certain "punch") but this is a faithful rendition of an iconic song. From what people were saying I was afraid that this was a country remix version or something 🤣

I wouldnt really call him a 14 phase boss. The first phase is him fliping his arcana and healing a bunch and his second phase is... uhhh... more health? I dont really know

i never saw anything from P3 before playing reload, so hearing this theme and THEN hearing it incorporate the velvet room's vocals was incredible, gave me goosebumps. it really gave me the vibe that "oh, i'm not the main character of this fight anymore. i'm not the one spinning arcanas to my advantage. nyx is."
and from what i'm hearing, i'm glad i missed the original version of this fight, sounds like hell.

Nyx was such a great fight. I wish I hadn't been so crazy overpowered so I could've gotten the full terrifying experience.
Finally made it to this fight in Reload. Still just as good as it was back then, though I trashed Nyx this time round. Almost one shot every phase without really trying.

So I've been going back and forth between this and the original version. Other than the higher-quality sound of this version, you can tell the first notable change here at 0:26, which is something apparent throughout the whole Reload version: this version makes heavier use of strings. Together with the echo of the piano, it sounds like its being sung in an amphiteather (which is of Greek origin). Truly a Battle Hymn of the Soul.
although this one is more guitar heavy, it loses a lot of grungyness due to cleaner composition. OG one was distorted, unclear at times which made you feel how big of a ordeal it was. This one is not bad, but I'd say OG one is better.
