We're not aware of any custom handles made specifically for Racket Club, but I do have a 3D Printed Eleven Table Tennis adapter that I got. Search online for "3D Printed Eleven Table Tennis" and you'll find a few options! I've only got one of them, so I can't really tell you which is best.
LOVE this game but there are a few things that I would change: 1. The game doesn't reward you for attempting to return a ball. What I mean is, if the point value of the current rally is about to be increased, it's actually "beneficial" if you let your opponent's powerful shot bounce on the ground twice and stay at a low point value than attempt to return it, touch it, and miss it, therefore adding another shot to the rally and making the point total go up. 2. Most of the CPU opponents -- regardless of skill level -- have no idea how to handle lobs. They flail their arms and don't even come close to touching the ball. 3. I don't love that the highest quality racquets allow you to spin the ball so fast that there's a special effect added to it (when it turns green or red), making it very very very difficult to return. Would rather it be more realistic than that. Otherwise, loving it.
1. Is somewhat unavoidable, but I think the pros of the system outweigh that scenario :) 2. Shhh! Don’t tell people! That’s the bit Pete referred to as the ‘glitch’! We checked with the devs, and they are training the AI to handle lobs :) 3. Fair :)
how do you get the menu to come up if you're using index controllers. none of the buttons on either controller seem to bring it up. I can play just fine. But I can't start a game with a bot and practice because of no menu. Help? anyone using index controllers with this game?
No. There are a couple of other games that are. This is an original game in terms of how it’s played, but if you like racket sports, you might want to give it a try. It’s excellent :)
Great review. Except this should have gotten a 10 ;) Absolutely love this game. Physics feel awesome, rules are simple and fun, AI is great, but mostly I had so much fun with the multiplayer matches. But yes, you do need quite a lot of room. Even with a playspace of 2 meter I prefer to play this in passthrough mode to avoid hitting my walls :)
Yeah nothing is ever a 10, well except Astro Bot maybe ;) I hope/expect that AI weakness will get fixed soon, but until then I just don't use lobs. Love how fiendishly difficult the AI becomes on the later levels. @@6DOFReviews
I'm also having a blast with this game. Out of curiosity is anyone else having trouble beating a bot on beginner mode? Played around 3 hours and I'm still not very good lol. I'm probably 50/50 W/L against beginner bots. Anyone have some tips they could share?
The bots are difficult, even on beginner mode indeed. They return normal shots almost every time, you really have to smack the ball in a low corner or hit the side wall hard so the ball returns at an angle to score points. Or cheat by using lobs since the AI can't handle lobs (yet) :)
@@MrEDET I'm still having trouble. I think the key is to learn how to put spin on the ball. Seems to be the only way to beat them but it's very hard to do consistently.
@@taulpowervr8983 Nah I hardly use spin. But I did level up to lvl 5 and chose one of the better available rackets, maybe that will help you out? Most of my points against the ai are when I smash the ball back, at an angle by hitting the side walls.
I keep on losing. I managed to win the first round/ game in the first tournament. Once. That's it. I do a lot of yelling and some bots I especially dislike since I lost several times. I'll try out the corners and whatever those lobs are ❤
No. I'm surely biased after years in table tennis IRL and some months in 11TT in VR, but this game just feels ridiculous as it seems tuned to just have these long rallies for as long as possible... - the boll is slow and it slows down so much that you can't expect any benefit from hitting it harder - it will be slow for the opponent to reflect; - because of the walls, basically any ball can be returned as it bounces and gets slower and slower; - feels like to score you need to wait for opponent's foul or out - not due to your trickery; - what on earth is high serve? how to they measure it? - what is "hit above the gap"? why is it inconsistently considered a foul? Some say that "ping pong" is a tennis played passively - just to ping and pong the ball back and force - that's exactly the situation with racket ball. P.S. that "glitch" must be throwing the ball up high in the air - the AI can't handle that

We don’t do 10s :) A 10/10 would literally mean there’s nothing about a game that could be better, and all games, even the very best games, have room to improve :)

This is the best sports game in VR right now. Some annoying bugs, but the overall concept and execution is extremely well done.
It really is quite excellent :)
I just bought it and I think you might be right. Looks amazing with quest games optimiser and graphical pumped up

If I do have a large play area, will the court be larger to reflect that in single player?
no. its always the same side.

Does look good. As a former squash player my instincts tell me the best strategy here would be to hit shots directly at the body!
Corners actually are the best shots
Love it. Almost as good as eleven table tennis.
I'll get working on a room extension to enjoy this game so....😂
I measured my play space and it’s 2.5m across and 3.2m deep (or long) is this enough space?
yes
So it's not full court tennis?

Honestly, just get both. Both are equally fantastic.

Both are great, but I’d go with Pete and give Racket Club a slight edge :)
11 100% but get both
