I can confirm that On the Series S for E&E, the security camera's now go in super slow motion once the controller shuts off and the save icon spins really slowly until the controller is turned back on. The following day when I went to check my passive incomes from the Arcade, etc. there was no income to be had because of the slow motion in the game when the controller shuts off. When X Box did their most recent update, I think they updated the controller because it gives a warning message now.
I’ve tried it with a next gen controller and a last gen controller and still the same result. So it was definitely an update for this specific game and I really can’t think of any workaround. Seems like you’d have to find a way to keep your controller powered on at all times
Most solid way I've found on ps5 is to watch the DJ feed in your nightclub - left it on all night and supplies accumulated. Of course make sure no power saving settings get in the way 😉
the thing is you have to be a ceo to sit down and watch the dj. this leaves you vulnerable to getting raided, which is not what you want. correct me if I'm wrong
Although I believe you only get raided at >50% storage capacity, so I would probably advise buying biggest storage and selling stock before you hit 50% for max profit without raids
@Ron D buy the security upgrade while it's on discount and you can watch the cameras without being in a ceo, works great for me and its always my go to

The TVs can be strange sometimes. Try being on the view where you see the players in the lobby. Best way to go AFK is the security cameras in the bunker IMO.

@@Rickyfffff I plugged my nintendo switch charge into the controller and leave the batteries in. Press the xbox button once and see the plug next to the battery icon means your good to go.
What platform are you on? I used it on PS5 the other day for 3+ hours. I find the TVs are more finicky than the security cameras in the bunker though. The bunker cameras are the most consistent. I never get booted from those.

If you just recently purchased your next-gen console, make sure you turn off your "go into rest mode after X time" settings.

Ok I found a workaround. Remove the batteries and plug the controller in to the front USB port. The controller will never turn off

I think AFK is dead on xbox. I get kicked shortly after the controller is off notification.
There is no AFK working methods on Xbox series X I've tried all of them to a T

This way does not protect you from having your nightclub raided. Also this way you still to pay your employees daily rate.

what about if controller automatically turns off after a while?
No issues on my end - the alert on GTA will come up saying please reconnect controller but the game will not kick you.
Just to clarify I'm on PS5.
It doesn't kick you but you also don't gain any money or supplies.
