I've heard this version of Gurenge over 100 times. Its gives me chills everytime. I legit do not think any singer comes close to what LiSA can do. She's the Queen.

For great Japanese singers I'd recommend MISIA, AYAKA, Little glee monster, Kenshi Younezu, Fujii Kaze, L'arc en ciel, Changing.

Love your analysis of LiSA for both this and Homura. Please could you provide your insight for Ren and his songs Hi Ren and Chalk Outlines (featuring Chinchilla). He's a Welsh singer, musician and rapper who just topped the UK album chart (beating Rick Astley), WITHOUT a record deal, and as for his music, I won't spoil the surprises in store for you if you decide to check him out.
Most Japanese songs are never cut/paste verses, depending on the lyrics. Emotions go with the lyrics if you learn them, you will know why she uses tension or not.

Its an hurtfull song
there is other greet female singers in japan it's just she is more an " anim song singer" but try both "akiko shikata- pantalea" and "kokia-onto no oto" if you want to try some of these but "less" "anim song singer" ( they add both done that but that's not their main line of work)!

would enjoy seeing a reaction to really any of the sound track for One Piece Film Red, but if i were to pick one specifically it would be Tot Musica. Ado is the artist and Amalee(the character's english voice actor and a singer) did covers for all the songs if you wanted to listen to english versions
