    How in the world did I never see this man's video? Dude, I love how you not only explain things really well, but you're not afraid to use a LOT of showcasing using your own voice. Fore some reason the vast majority of channels that do voice analysis or voice coaching and stuff have never ever used a voice to interprete or explain things. I think it adds so much depth and quality. I think it's so weird, I see all these voice focused channels and many of the most popular ones have never ever used their voice like you did. I absolutely love how you include words and singing in your analysis, it's so essential in my opinion. Thank you!

    I cannot stress how much this song and this show took over Japan in the pandemic. It was everywhere. It was on every piece of merchandise you can imagine. It was like Star Wars and Episode 1. It took over Japan. The movie is the top animated movie of all time now. It beat out the Gibli films.
    It was a juggernaut. She was popular before but this song made her a mega star.
    Before kids and adults wore plain white masks when they were sick. With the pandemic it was getting hard to find white masks for companies started selling masks with the Demon slayer character colors and Pokémon and the look exploded.
    You had to live through it to realize how powerful this song and the show was for us when we were stuck at home.
    Best wishes. I love your videos.

    Abe Mao [ 阿部真央] - Is a really good singer as well if you are chasing Japanese music, Deadline is a good start - Also, Ieiri Leo [家入レオ] - started good and got better as she continued.
    Tomiko Van [Do as infinity] - always has had a something in her voice that always grabbed me. Raven is a track that never fails to gives to me goose bumps after I haven't heard it for a while, but rest rest of their songs are pretty much a showcase for her.

    I really love watching your vids to put into words the uniqueness of each singer's approach to singing, especially when its for a song I adore. Listening to this analysis was so interesting! There were so many parts that I didn't pick up on until you explained and gave me greater appreciation of her singing, even though I'm already a fan hehe~ If you get the chance, please please please PLEASE check out Kenshi Yonezu and his song Kick Back. Something that I notice a lot of singers do, especially female singers, is that they don't sing the entire word, particularly where there is a strong, long note midway through the word. Lisa doesn't do that. The most noticeable point is, for me, at the last word of the chorus, yadotteru, where she holds the mora "tte" for a few seconds, but she subtly slips in the mora "ru". It's easy to miss unless you really listen closely. Unlike English, Japanese is much less forgiving when it comes to chopping off the toes of a word, yet at the same time, entire words can be skipped in a sentence.

    Dang Chris, how do you manage to put out a video every day? I can hardly make 1per week with my client and course schedule! Also, what's the App (?) on the ipad you use for multiple cameras? Help a starving brotha out please! 😬🙏🏼

    • @chrisliepe
      @chrisliepe  8 месяцев назад +5

      I usually have one designated film day per week. I shoot for filming 6 videos on that day, and I generally put out 3 videos per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). I create short form content from the long form stuff and that goes on Instagram/tiktok and occasionally on RUclips shorts. I also do 2-3 community posts per week. Filming 2x what I post allows me build up a queue of videos so, if I feel I want to post extra in a given week or I want to take some time off, I can do so without a gap in content. Every video invites people to go deeper with me via my free courses.
      I have help with clearing copyrights/blocks etc so I can go deep into songs and artists and still monetize each video with full permission from the copyright owner. The iPad is running an app called "SlingStudio" which connects 4 cameras and my screen/audio together in one interface allowing me to switch cameras/screens on the fly, and I pre mix the audio going in. This speeds up my workflow a LOT and usually allows me to get my videos fully edited on the same day I film them so I'm really only doing RUclips content creation (ideally) one (long) day per week.
      This allows me to devote the rest of my time to coaching, my courses, collaborations, and mountain biking :). My son helps with other social media posts and engagements and my wife handles a good chunk of the (boring) business stuff.
      Those are some details, but mostly... It's relentless consistency.

      @RockYourBestVocals 8 месяцев назад

      @@chrisliepe Wow thanks for the helpful advice!! You're a LEGEND! I'd love to know about clearing copyrights/blocks as this has bit me recently (got a strike - now cleared). Also, I checked out the "SlingStudio" and there are some videos about how the (new) parent company have abandoned that product line (and App support - ?) so some have warned to buy extra camlink hardware, etc.. (I don't know anything about these, but you may want to have a look into that so nothing disrupts your content). Some recommend a 'Yolobox Pro' as a good alternative. All out of my current budget reach anyway - as is help, but I'm going to go for the batch shooting idea for sure! You shoot AND edit same day? OMG! Dang, I need to get a lot better/faster... ugh! Thank you again so much for your helpful advice and speedy reply! Take care, brother!

      @@chrisliepe Wow Chris - thank you so much for the helpful advice and quick reply, you are a LEGEND! I’m going to follow your successful footsteps and figure out a schedule to batch shoot one day (it’s tough because tis only me at the moment, but I realise now I need to get help!) Also, I researched SlingStudio and it appears the parent company is discontinuing the line and support of the app so some RUclips reviews recommend YoloBoxPro, or at a minimum you should purchase some extra hardware just in case - as a preventative measure. Thanks again for your kind advice and speedy reply - really appreciate you! Best of luck and keep up the awesome work!

    Please do more first take reactions! Really loving your take. I'd suggest you check out Yoasobi on First Take, amazing singing and in some ways the opposite tone to LiSa's !

    @12:33 - Can't believe you didn't comment on the precision of this huge interval after all of that word painting - You kept pausing right toward the end of that phrase though, so you may have missed it in the context of that whole verse. It's fucking CLEAN.
