  • @mayadawnfisher3222

This is one beautiful, big, beefy boy! Oh wow, he is impressive. I never owned an Omega Supreme as a kid, I did not care for the robot mode, loved the alt mode, but wow. I want this guy. The shot of he and the Toyworld Devastator next to each other made me tingle a bit.
Also, I love the reference to the "Seagulls, Stop It Now" song, I believe that is 2 references to it at this point. I do not recall which review the other was in, but I remember how my wife in the other room burst out laughing when she heard you start to sing it.
And lastly, beautiful baby girl you have there, sir.

Fantastic review Skull Brother!!! Let me first say thank you for doing this figure. I know what kind of hard work and effort goes into reviewing a piece of this size. WOW is this thing amazing. The only thing I wish they had done was found a way for the tank to roll around the track. I know it's kind of a childish play feature but damn it I'm a big kid lol. Keep up the great work and thanks again brother...

Wow mate! Got to be one of your best reviews to date. Mate I reckon you should do your future reviews in the room were you started & do all of your "Sit-down Saturdays" instead of your grey review table. Much better back drop & desk set up for sure. Bloody hell that Terminus Giganticus is massive! Great work as always mate. The top bloke reviewer Bobby Skullface.

Geez... I so want this as it looks amazing, but I think to myself... "Where would I display this behemoth!?"
I cancelled my Masters of the Universe Classics Castle Greyskull years back for that very same reason of thinking.
Heck, Fanstoys Phoenix was already giving me a bit of a headache trying to fit him into my display cases.

"This is what i expected to come out of the box when I was a kid"
The thing is, in our eyes the toys ACTUALLY did look like this in our eyes with our imaginations. Now, we are of the accord that we can afford these kinds of things... life is good. As someone who missed a lot of these toys as a kid, im enjoying life right now. Love the review and hope to see you at NJCC!

Man... I am never into cartoon accuracy, but this guy really reminds me of all the old big electronic filled robots I used to have when I was little, If I ever get the money, I think I might have to get this, especially seeing as you can leave the face unturned in robot mode to just have a faceless spaceman look.
I think I'd be into this even more if they did the Blue repaint from that one episode, what were they called, Sentinels?
    Either way, he looks amazing.

  • @chojinacd
    @chojinacd 7 лет назад

aaaaaand sold. nice review, as always man, thanks. tbh my omega doesn't even need to transform as long as I can detach the arms for a separate rocket. as for ft vs dx9, my only conclusion can be that dx9 stole the ft design and will improve on it, like the knees aesthetics and transformation, but I feel fanstoys deserves it way more for putting the effort in it and taking the risk. I also think we as consumers feel the push in release date and drop in price to stay competitive with dx9 in the finishing and tolerances/stability. And yes, this is what you hoped you would ever live to get when you were a kid!

He is going to look perfect next to Metroplex and Fort Max! Now if we could just get some Titan class Decepticons in the 24 to 26 inch range to go along with them, like a Scorpinok and Trypticon. Come on Fanstoys, beat Hastak to the punch with another Titan!

Your statement about what toy you expected out of the box, versus what e actual toy ended up being, back in the day? That to me crystallizes the "fanstoys Magic" it's almost like they design the pieces starting from "what was the toy I excepted when I was a kid" the die cast, rubber, paint, detail, the accuracy- they put out the toys I dreamt of . No toy is perfect, but fanstoys pieces give me the retro feels more often than any other company

This thing looks so good, it's almost obscene. And I'm pretty sure whoever it was on Fanstoys design team that came up with how to both make the eyes metallic AND have lighted LEDs either went completely mad during that portion of the design period, was ALREADY completely mad, or sold their soul to some sinister entity in order to make that happen. Anyways, great review! Can't wait to see DX9's Gabriel!

Great review man, I'm excited to get my copy of him after watching this.
Not worried about his ability to sway a little. Like you said that's a lot of top heavy weight that is being supported and we have to keep in mind it's a parts former after all. If it were one piece as in assembled as a normal Transformer is, then I can see them doing much more to support the weight .
    Thanks 👍

A lot of people should actually look at the leg joints on how to flip rather than whinging about it. Once you understand how it works, it is done within 3 minutes.
Tip have the ramp loose on the end and not connect them until you flip the leg panel and turn first. Then lock in the ramp.
Overall can be better in some areas but I am very happy with it.

I have this guy now... It really seems they fixed the issues with the cannon. Moving the cannon portion in and out of the top half of the rocket has a stiffness to it, and the little bits that go around it tab in pretty securely for me.
The only real issue I have with it is the backpack. I hope Fanstoys (or even another company... would that be a 4th party?) releases some updated parts or SOMETHING for it to make it better. As it is now, it's not the worst thing in the world, but it really should be better in my opinion.
Hope that helps anyone looking at this review now that this figure is finally out.

However I have to disagree with that Vader line from Empire, next to "Han Shot First" that is my biggest peeve from the Special Editions. I preferred the original angry "Bring My Shuttle". At that point Vader is not calm and collected, he is super pissed!

great review as always. You might think about mixing your audio down to mono. I had to keep switching earbuds (i listen with just one earbud while at work) as the audio is fine in one channel but wobbly in the other. the "good" channel keeps switching throughout the review.. those listening with regular speakers probably can't even hear it.. had the same issue on the Susanoo review.

I don't know if you will ever use alt mode again or not, but I figured I'd mention it just in case. At the very bottom of the leg, where the ends meet in the middle to make the track there is a piece you can flip around to tab them together. I don't think I saw you mention it so I don't know if you missed it or if decided it was trouble and bypassed it.
Thanks for the review. I was really curious about the eyes after Dalianjj mentioned taking weeks to figure them out.

I know right where this is going, on top of the detolf next to my work desk that houses my 2 FT dino sets (normal + x versions). If he ever does fall off he will kill me, but whats an adventure without a little risk right? 2 inch's to spare!
The leg wobble is a bit disappointing, as both of my MT city bots and my v2 constructor are super solid, but what you gonna do. Its a non issue if he stands. Cannot wait to have him. Great review, thanks man.

Big boy in the size comparison and Terminus was big too :) Do you think Constructor is a good G1 accurate size to him? Nice job with Terminus taking up the whole set.

i think constructor is technically too big but cant deny how good the size feels (so to speak)

Really? Too big? Hmm, I guess I need to revisit the sunbow chart? On the fence on Terminus, but I'd imagine he looks even better in person. Thanks!

This is pretty impressive but I want to see my options first before picking him up
