      Could be wrong ? I think the older Bobcats had Kubota engines. The Newwer ones , are being built by a different manufacturer?. They may be great Machines ( engines) .I don’t want to say anything negative about any one . In most cases , those that cast doubt on someone or on equipment? Know the least & need more information. Also , if I’m not mistaken, Bobcat started in early 1960- sixties, being the first or near first on Market to build a skid-steer . Making them one of the Best . Thank you for your knowledge about Bobcat skids. That’s a lot of hours. Thank you

    Hope y’all have a great week wish I could afford a skid steer like that

      Thanks David and you too. It was a big jump for thr boss to go to a tracked machine but it has become so much of a asset now its a must have. It was a game changer that's for sure

    With the never equipment it seems like a good idea to trade in after the warranty expires. The older equipment was a whole lot more durable though. I still have my old Bobcat 843 and it still has mostly original parts at over 6000 hours. Now I am sure your machines have tougher working conditions to deal with, the woods seem like challenging terrain. I got to use a Kubota track loader a few months back, for trash removal, Strange using one of those compared to the hand/foot controls.

      The case 60xt in the yard has over 6000hrs too. Been a good machine. I was never a fan of foot controls but it would be a big change going from it to iso controls thats for sure. The Bobcat 43 series was a great machines for them them

    Are you auditioning for a job as a used equipment salesman? 😆 I wouldn't keep a newer machine past the warranty either. But I'm into older machines, I grew up around them. Have a great day.

    Hi, how often did the svl95-2 regen? Mine does it at an average of 7 hours, normal?

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  Год назад

      Hi James. Boss has the moat seat time and said it was every 12 13hrs . He said it can be changed? But on 100 percent on that. Dealer can answer thats for you. Also we run 3/4 throttle or better too

    • @jameschiro
      @jameschiro Год назад +1

      ok, thank you for the response. My dealer said my machine was running flawlessly, and no issues with regen, just seems too frequent.

      I work for a dealership in australia, ours burn every 8 hours or so as well. ambient temp, fuel quality, engine rpm are all contributing factors. the ecu makes a calculation and does it when it needs too.
      dpf will need to be removed and cleaned at around the 3000hr mark.@@jameschiro

    Not sure why Kubota and Volvo uses paint that fades so bad. Guess they figure it's not a deal breaker.

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  Год назад

      Ya im not sure. Every kubota seems to be the same. I'm not sure if wax would help keep it good?

    • @keywest63020
      @keywest63020 8 месяцев назад +2

      It's not the paint,its the color of the paint that causes the issue.
      They use a durable commercial paint that is made to stand up to scuffs and abrasion but certain colors are greatly affected by solar rays and absorb them more readily which degrades the color. Bobcat made a good call on white as it is the most reflective.
      But yes...they probably don't figure it is a deal breaker when you are standing in front of a new one and are more interested in mechanical longevity than how shiny it will be a few years down the road.
