    I've come back to Razr red rubber to give it another try. For me it works best in the Unger S-Plus channel. The glide is smooth with this channel. I tried it in the Ettore brass channel and the glide wasn't as great. I too noticed small streaks being left behind. I couldn't feel any nicks with my finger so I took a 10X magnifying glass and noticed some pitting in the rubber accompanied by some black streaks coming from the pits. I did all my testing on a mirror which helped really see all the errors. I still like it. Just wish they could keep it consistent.

    We used these before but when we noticed we couldn’t trust every batch we went back to Ettore.
    For a month ago I ordered a new red razr batch to try it again. Now it works fine in my 12’ brass channel - but I don’t like it how it works in a 14’, 16’ channel and so on. The great thing to have it in a smaller channel is that I use that channel more on french pain windows and now I don’t have to change the rubber so often - french wooden panes wears out rubber fast.
    But overall - my favourite rubber is Ettore and Sorbo. Hate Unger. Black Diamond is ok.

    I have noticed that that razor ‘rubber’ is ‘melting’ a little bit, leaves stamp streaks.
    We don’t have screens. But if they put any netting or something on conservatory doors or something, we don’t clean it :)

    Nice review, but I do like my ettore rubber other than the corners shredding pretty quickly. My kids said they liked your choice of music😁

    I tried these and loved em. But not at first. I use almost no pressure and took me awhile to get used to. But ya change the channel and it works totally different depending on the channel.

    Hi Steve, great video, i used the Razr red rubbers a couple of years ago, must have been a bad batch too, i tried using them for a couple of days, but kept leaving lines & water traces,
    gave up on them in the end, i ordered a Sorbo Quick Silver squeegee, which i know used to be your favourite squeegee, used last week for insides on residential work, really pleased
    with it, much prefer it to the Liquidator, what did you think of the avengers film Endgame.

    hey steve0 i guess you got a good batch of red rubber , i also used it for a few years but as many others have experienced the quality is mostly garbage . i use soft rubber all year round here in the uk and dont have any problems . spotless yellow is by far the best rubber i have used . lasts for a few weeks too

    I consider razr red as a hard rubber not soft in the UK - Razr rubbbers can be hit and miss - been using them for a couple of years - sometimes you get a few nasty batches and other times you can get the rubber's from heaven - they certainly have quality issues - Razr rubbers are a nightmare for me personally when its cold and great when its warm in the UK - So I tend to switch to Moerman soft rubber in the winter and back to razr red back in the summer using plenty of soap and water to counteract the drag

    Been using the red rubber for a couple of years in a liquidator channel and it’s been great up until the last 6 months. For some reason the quality of the rubber doesn’t seem as good as it was and I’m finding it’s leaving line all the way along the rubber. Friend of mine has had the exact same problem. He bought a pack of 12 and only 1 of the rubbers worked well. Quality has definitely changed. Not good!

    • @barrieboy10
      @barrieboy10 5 лет назад +3

      Same here - Razr need to fire the quality engineer involved in the process - Back a few years I could only rave about the quality now im forced to use seasonally to try and counteract its tendency to leave tiny lines in the winter - The rubber these days only seems effective in the warmer weather due to it becoming slightly softer by default

      SteveO The Window Cleaner yeah I’m done with them to be honest. Sad coz it seems like they are the only rubber that work with the liquidator. I have ordered a hard Unger rubber to try with the liquidator to see if they last. Bought a S plus channel just so I can use good ol black rubbers. Sounds like I have a rubber fetish 😂

    • @SteveOthewindowcleaner
      @SteveOthewindowcleaner  5 лет назад

      Jamie Brasnyo water fed pole is definitely faster when you do it right. I didn’t care for the legend too much. You get niks in your rubber from your boab?

      @jbraz8 5 лет назад

      @@SteveOthewindowcleaner to be honest I just started using the legend this year, I love it. ... way less detailing than ever before, Commercial and residential. And yes the boab is literally wearing out my rubber where it rubs in the bucket faster than windows..
