    I got scammed by the 2 adds you have shown, but that's not all of what is going on. In both cases the companies use fake US postage, and I had to pay this to get the products. Also, in both cases within a week, I had multiple charges for things I had not purchased put on my credit cards. I ended up calling my cards and getting new numbers to stop these fake charges. I am now very skeptical of all ads found anywhere.
    I wanted to make you and your audience aware of these issues in hopes that no others fall victim to their scams.

      Thank you for this great information. This is the first I have heard of this, but with people like these scammers, nothing surprises me. Just a little advice for the future. Never use your credit card when purchasing from unknown websites. Only use PayPal. Why? Because PayPal is a Push payment system, not a Pull payment system. You have to push money to the vendor, they have no way of pulling money out of your account. A credit card is a Pull payment system. You give the vendor your card number, and they Pull money out of your account.
      Only use a credit card for places like Amazon, Walmart, and big reputable American companies

      Yea my favorite is the ac is it that can cool a room for Pennie’s. Think it’s a mini swamp cooler

    • @nothingbutgadgets
      @nothingbutgadgets  6 часов назад

      @@richardwallis9374 Yes, that is all that it is. There is another one that you fill with ice, and it cools the air by blowing air over the ice. Both of these work for personal cooling, but the reality is they do not cool the room and actually make the room hotter. It all goes back to the First Law of Thermal Dynamics, "Energy can neither be created nor destroyed."
      Heat is energy. You cannot destroy it. Because heat cannot be destroyed, the only way to get rid of it is to dump it somewhere else. In a standard refrigerant driven AC system, it works by absorbing the heat energy inside the house, and dumping outside the house. This works using some other laws of physics of gasses and compression. Refrigerant liquid (Freon) has an extremely low boiling point. The liquid refrigerant is piped into the house to an evaporator coil where it is exposed to heat inside the house. This causes the liquid Freon to evaporate into a gas absorbing heat energy. This gas containing the heat energy is then pumped outside to the condensing coil where the gas is circulated through a radiator coil with a fan causing some of the heat to be absorbed out of the gas and released into the outside air. However, the outside air can only drop the temperature of the gas as low as the ambient temperature. In order to return the Freon back to a liquid state, it is then passed through a compressor that exposes the gas to an extreme amount of pressure, thus mechanically forcing the gas to return to a liquid state. Since Freon cannot be in a liquid state and contain the heat energy, this compression causes it to release all the heat energy. It is kind of like squeezing all the water out of a sponge. In this way, the refrigerated air system removes heat energy from inside the house and dumps it outside. It is not really Cooling anything, it is simply removing the heat from inside the house and dumping it outdoors. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed.
      Evaporative Coolers work based on a similar concept, but in reverse. In this case, Water, is the liquid instead of Freon. In dry climates, evaporative coolers are very effective at cooling houses, but they do not work in humid climates. A whole house evaporative system will have an outside radiator with a blower into the house. The unit will pass air over the radiator unit that has a media that is constantly being flushed with water from a pumping system. As the air passed through media, it causes some of the water to evaporate, which absorbs heat out of the air, thus dropping the temperature of the air that is then funneled by the blower int to the house. An evaporative system is a Pass Through system. You have to have vents letting air out in all rooms of the house in order for it to work. If you seal a room off, it will not cool. As the evaporative unit blows new, cooler air into the house, it increases the air pressure inside the house causing air the warmer air to be pushed out of the vents around the house, which is replaced by the cooler air from the evaporative system. It also increases the humidity level in the house as well, which in a really dry climate can result in a very comfortable, cool experience. However, in a very humid climate, evaporative system are completely unless and only make things worse.
      Okay, I said all this to explain why these scam product cannot and do not work to cool a room or a house. They provide no way to REMOVE the heat energy from the house. Any system that does not Remove the heat energy CAN NOT cool the house. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Yes, if you sit right in front of one of these mini evaporative units, the air blowing in your face will be cooler, but the unit is just dumping whatever heat it extracted right back into the room it came from, so it is not dropping the temperature of the room, just the immediate air plowing out of it. Since the electric motor of the mini evaporative unit is producing heat, it is actually adding heat energy to the room. The ice cube unit actually do reduce the room temperature, but unless you have a bunch of ice in unlimited quantities, the effect is only temporary. Like the mini evaporative system, the cooling effect is just personal, not general.
      If people only understood the laws of thermal dynamics, they would not be fooled by these product that claim to break these laws.

If a company has not already been established as legitimate then anything they want to do on Amazon, Google, RUclips etc. etc... should be suspect and verified before it is allowed to proceed. yes Google may make a couple of million less out of the multi-millions it currently makes but that should be enforced by local governments. it is enforceable for things like child porn and other highly illegal things so why not for blatantly false advertising and other types of misinformation and lying on the internet.

    The sparking mechanism is called a piezio electric spark mechanism. Think of the piezio electric effect when you hit a piece of quartz with a hammer, it generates an electric current, this is related to the principle that quartz uses to create synchronous timing pulses for watches and for radio transceivers. So no need for a battery, barbeque lighters, gas furnaces and gas water heaters use these commonly. Otherwise spot on.

    8 min 37 s You get those quick yellow glowy things because once in a while, a cotton dust particle burns and you get some carbon micro particles that glow.
    Also, the color of the flame looks like something is burning. It looks no different than my propane torch flame.
    If it was arc based thing, it would be much brighter and have a different color since the nitrogen and oxygen gets ionized.
    At one point, there was too much butane and the flame was burning dirty.
    It is too obvious that it is just a flame.
    I remember being a kid and some magazine advertised some butane torch and claimed that flame temperature reaches 3500 C.
    That might be correct but I doubt that you would be able to melt a chunk of copper.

      It might have a tiny, very hot flame, but its heat affected zone will also be tiny, and pretty much useless for anything other than lighting cigarettes or fireworks fuses, etc. I have a 2000°F electric arc lighter, but I can't weld with it, even though many metals have a melt point below 2000°F...

    A few years ago, I kept seeing this device that was supposed to save you money on your electric bill. It was constantly being advertised for a couple of months. So I broke down and bought one for only 49.95 with free shipping. How sweet. Instructions said just plug into any outlet. Pluged it in, a small red LED lit up. It stayed there for almost a year, out of sight, out of mind, I guess. Electric bill never did drop, not even a single penny 😒.
    Some guy showing scams like this man is doing on RUclips happened to be disassembling one of these things. When he opened it up, there was only a circuit board with a few resistors connected to the LED to light it up. That was the first and the last thing I'll EVER buy from any ad on RUclips. The scammers are making it rough on the honest people. The sad thing is they never get caught. Usually, it's from another country.

    • @nothingbutgadgets
      @nothingbutgadgets  13 минут назад

      The truth is generally a difficult pill to swallow, and humans would rather believe a lie than the truth. For example.
      It is impossible to make everyone rich, but it is easy to make everyone poor. Because richness is a measure of how much more one person has over others who have less. Inequality of wealth is an essential essential necessity of human existence, without which society would collapse. If you could magically give everyone a billion dollars, the only effect would be to reduce the value of a billion dollars to zero. Since everyone would have a billion, no one would want to work for anything less. How much would you need to pay a billionaire to clean a toilet?
      The truth is, it is impossible for everyone to be rich. Some, the majority must be poor. This makes the world turn.
      This is reality. This is truth. Nobody wants to hear this truth.
