Thank you so much Sarah for sharing this. I work with special needs children in our school and this will be a great project to try with them. Cheers from Nova Scotia, Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️!
Wonderful, I hope you all enjoy, you might also like the regular paper technique as in the other video: ruclips.net/video/nJ4VWhGoB-0/видео.html Thank you
So happy to find your tutorials. I first tried this using a HP ink and it wouldn't transfer at all to the clay so tried an epson ink and it was perfect. It's a fantastic idea for gifts. Thank you!
I love watching you ,I can’t get enough of your all tutorials. I also love your techniques and the way you explain things you got such a gentle soothing voice I mentioned that before in my last comment but I can’t help mentioning it again . You’re just wondering I can’t wait to watch another one of videos or your tutorials keep them coming You’re such an inspiration
Oh my gosh I'm so glad I've found you! I have a friend's birthday coming up and I'm planning to make the little fox pot you showed. Now I'm binging because I love your voice and your videos are so meditative
I absolutely love this video am doing this as I got some DAS modelling clay ready to get experimenting and having fun. I am going to do this but can you use a square and rectangle shape instead using a circle.
Yes, you can use most craft varnishes/lacquers/top coats, I did make a little video a while back ruclips.net/video/z0dtdQFQ-wM/видео.html but I do want to make another of these videos as there are so many options, I tend to say try what you already have at home first.
If you're gentle with it i find it works well, but as i showed in the video I did put my finger through one of them, but no problem as I just printed it out again. Thanks
Good it work, is there a blur mark on the photograph? If its not a pure white area then there will be some ink transfer, I particularly like doing this with text and then painting over after. Thanks
@@trinapatterson8872 😂 I thought you might have been onto something there! Again if you can get it through the printer it’s worth a go, maybe trying taping onto a piece of regular paper ❤️
@@RedRockingBird Did you try the wax paper yet? I am going to try this with my students during summer school. 👏🏻 I am so excited!! Thank you for all your lovely videos!! Hugs!! 🥰🤗
Hmm didn’t work, clicked US link for the label paper which is sticker labels fyi not mailing labels so the backing is different. Maybe that Amazon seller changed the product since posting the this. So I printed a lovely picture and it didn’t transfer one single bit, not sure what happened here total bummer.
@@RedRockingBird I went back and re-watched your video and I see it was meant to be that full sheet kind not just the smaller labels one so the link is fine I apologize I was wrong on that. So I peeled it apart and the ink would not print on it. It is repelled like it’s liquid resistant actually first the printer wouldn’t even pull it down so I took a glue stick and glued it to a regular piece of paper so that it was thicker and it did print on it but not really like I said the ink won’t stick to it. It’s like beads of ink no recognizable picture. I don’t know if it’s my printer, it’s a nice Epson ink tank one but the ink just will not print on any of those waxy type papers. I’ve tried other methods here on RUclips as well and print high quality and nothing 🤦🏻♀️😔 going to try some water slide paper on a dried clay coaster this time and if that doesn’t work then I’m throwing the towel in lol. I even used mod podge photo transfer medium and nope 👎 they said it would transfer onto any surface yeah not clay apparently lol. Was tempted to get a laser printer but only reasonable affordable ones only print black and white and I need color 🤦🏻♀️
Hi @@nurseshani88 hmmm frustrating when we can’t get things to work, I try all sorts of new ideas to see what happens and I enjoy the process, this video came from my other ‘print on clay’ video which was was born from a happy accident! I’ve taken the links off there now anyway, I mainly just showed this so people could use a piece of recycled waxy paper, we get them through the post/mail all the time and my canon happily prints on them, but yes it may take a few attempts to get it to feed into the printer, just have to make sure it’s super flat and no crease’s, or like you did attach to another piece of paper 👍 All my projects on here are just a bit of fun. I don’t make pieces to sell just for personal use and giving too family, so these are all craft projects to enjoy. Thanks, Sarah

Lovely I am wondering if I could use wax paper.?
Yes sure you could if you can print on it , thanks 😊
I wonder if I could use thermal printers to transfer images to air dry clay, for I don't have inkjet or transfer papers?
I have been wondering this too, but I don’t have a thermal printer 😂❤️
Do they wash well? Like if I spoil something on a dish with transfer on it, how do I wash it without messing with the transfer?
Coat it in varnish first and then can sponge clean
Love it!! I’m so happy to see one of your videos come up! I’ve missed seeing your clay projects! ❤️❤️

great stuff again Sarah. Te smudged one at 8:44 min looks like the shape of a small dog sat down with its floppy ears! I like it!

We can use normal paper or glossy paper for printing
for normal basic copy paper did you see this: ruclips.net/video/nJ4VWhGoB-0/видео.html

i am so wanting to buy an ink jet printer, as i only have a laser printer. Does it need to be a high quality printer?
Mine is just a cheap ish one, if I were you I’d find a friend with one, get them to print you something and try it out 😊
Is there any particular in printing image if we need to ask from shop
Bolder images work best and text

thought the image would run or smuge ect on the plastic sheet before u get to use it. or ink come of or be heaps wet

I tried this and it does work I just could never get the white blurred marks off for whatever reason. I am sure it was user error.

Can you print on freezer paper like you can fabric?
Yes, try it out, sure you’d love that too

I’ve not tried but worth a go if you think it would be ok in your printer, depends if ink stays of paper of transfers to the clay first 😊
