  • Hey guys! Here is my easy, cheap DIY home decor using air dry clay! I LOVE how simple, easy, and cost-effective these projects are. They all would make great gifts and even though they are handmade, I feel like the still look very high end! I will link everything I used below. Thanks for watching :)

Crafty tip: when you want to paint all your beads, put them on wooden skewers and poke the tips of the skewers into the inside of a shoebox (so it looks like a foosball table LOL).and then you can spray the beads inside the box while you rotate them with the skewers that are sticking out of the box! The beads never touch the bottom of the box!

Hi Jenna, a couple of clay tips, take 8 or so toothpicks together, wrap a piece of tape nice and tight around it. Use ur toothpick “tool” to poke or jab the seams together or anywhere you want to join a seam. Smooth the toothpick marks with water after. Also, instead of triple thick spray on the napkin rings, give modge podge hard as nails a try. It makes a beautiful “ceramic finish” that is more moisture proof then the spray. I love all your Crafts! The beads are FANTASTIC!!

Here’s a tip for anyone who buys air dry clay. Make sure it’s a tried and true quality clay, (not the ones on Amazon). Most inferior clay will crack. I’ve bought several from Amazon and other places and they are not the quality that DAS clay is. Das is easy to work with, rarely cracks, and can be shaped easily. The others are hell to deal with, crack in most cases, and will make your masterpiece a mess.

Can you please put de sprays you used in the descriptionbox? The one you used to finish the tray and the one you used on the clay beads. Thank you

Do you think these napkins rings will be dishwasher safe using the same materials you used?

No! I would not risk putting them in the dishwasher.
