I install a new set of Black Halo Racing coils, MSD wires, & plugs. As well as troubleshoot my starting and idling issues after messing with my throttle body.
@@tcrafard Nice ..good to know... My engine is chuggin along at around 5000k rpm... I changed the plugs today (while im waiting on the coils) and it didnt change anything...my be the Trailing coils that are shot... Hope its that anyways!!
Do you believe the BHR set is worth the investment?I am currently debating whether to install them onto my 04 RX8 as the current coils i have are awful
For me it was totally worth it. They have worked great with zero issues since I installed them. I have over 10,000 miles on these coils and they work like day 1. I know T-Rex Rotary Experts has a kit that is cheaper, and I've been told works as well.. but I have no experience with them.
It is not, When i purchased the car the previous owner had a muffler shop install a 40 series Flowmaster muffler, I thought the sound was unique to the RX-8 world as most people do have some cat back system, so I left it installed. I always wanted to get the Borla cat back, but never could rationalize the cost.
i have the turboxs 3" header back. with the 4" dual mufflers w/burnt tips on my 8. love the sound that system makes. my cars actually down rite now waiting for the bhr ignition kit to come in the mail since mine failed...womp

So..7 years later... how did the coils BHR coils last? I got some on the way ..hope they last me a while

If put this on do they last longer than Mazda coils.
