I stayed there for 15 days last June. Its an amazing place haven't been to other places and cities of Vietnam but Da Nang for sure is my favorite. You haven't been to Go (big C) supermarket try to eat at their food court. Plenty of variety of foods and super cheap but quality.
hi janine i visited vietnam 1 week a go and it was my best decision in my life. it's my first time as a solo traveler and i am just 19 years olds. Btw the local help me a lot and they are really" nice , literally the most kind hearted people i've ever met. Some uncle buy me a free ticket and the coffee lady give me free tea. i was so happy. The city is also clean and very beautiful, the beach is such a vibes and the food was amazing omg and they're really cheap too ,def come back later ❤. if i have the money maybe i'll move there
I am Vietnamese and i am learning English by watching your video. I hope i can become fluent in English so i can work and live in Da Nang as a digital nomad like you :))) very nice video guy and i am looking forward for your next video as well
Hi, I'm Vietnamese and I'm living in Da Nang. Da Nang city is the safest place in Vietnam and also the safest place in the world, so you can go anywhere you want. It's very safe here so there's nothing to be afraid of and you can also walk alone at night without any problem, I wish you a happy trip in Da Nang :) I will follow your channel every day and support you by liking your videos.
@@fansmilitan2701 There are more pickpockets in Paris , New York , Los Angeles , Marseille , Lyon , Amsterdam , Rotterdam , Rome , Milan , Venice , Napoli , Madrid , Barcelona , London , Split ...than in Danang . A few years ago my Iphone was stolen in Rome and my wife's purse had disappeared in 5 minutes ( the time she went to the washroom ) in a coffee shop in Barcelona . In 1988 three guys tried to steal my suitcase at the Amsterdam train station ( one threw some Ketchup on my coat , another one showed up pretending to help me to clean up the smear to divert my attention and a third one came up close to me and tried to steal my suitcase . And recently two colored men threatened me in NYC with a knife at only 20h00 to rob of my new Samsung mobile phone . And so far I didn't have any bad experiences in Danang .
Awesome that you're trying to make local friends and eat local food. It's really the only way to authentically experience a country instead of visiting a bunch of countries but basically eating the same food and hanging out with the same people. Happy travels!
I am in Da Nang also and seen many places you have been. I loved ivegan also. The breakfast smoothies are amazing. Thank you for the video. It has made me think of new places to go in the next few months while in Da Nang. Can I suggest you try Hoi An has the videos from there especially on a night would be amazing. I went last week. Gotta go back to retrive my shoes i left again. Silly me but anazing place so another 5 days there will be fine. If you want to go a little bit off the beaten track in Hoi An, on the way to the beach go to Miss HA. This cafe is amazing and gotta be the best instagram place near here. Trust me you will be blown away by this place
Hoi An is an awesome place to visit. Too bad I was only able to spend a few hours there during my last visit to Vietnam. Also be sure to check out marble mountain and be prepared for a nice workout walking up and down those steps.
Thank you for your no-nonsense approach and saving us time by flashing onscreen the day's expenses so we can come back at any time and see it, you give us much value for our time.
Vietnam beaches are so captivating.! Very good people and places. A great place for digital nomads to stay and work considering comparatively low cost of living, but pretty good facilities.! I'm sure you're enjoying your staying there.!
I was very satisfied when I saw a notification from Janine, and the video was over 30 minutes long 😁 I felt very entertained, thank you Janine, always healthy , i hope wherever you are 🙌 🐥😊
They have ppl avoid swimming in certain areas because there are rip tides in the water, which carry/push you out to sea. You need to swim parallel to the beach, instead of trying to swim direct into shore, you have to swim parallel to the beach to get out of rip tide.
This was so fun! We were in DaNang in April and loved it! We want to retire there in a few years. The grocery stores in other countries fascinate me, esp in the US where it's a chemical free for all. There are so many things the Vietnamese gov't doesn't let in because of the chemicals. We loved the fresh food. The only problem we had was that to get vegan and meat at the same place is hard so we would often watch each other eat in different places. Can't wait to see the rest of your content!
I fell in love with VN when I visited HCMC last year and the year before that. Its so amazing, people so nice, and its not a rip-off like London. I never visited Da Nang but I think if I move to VN, I might end up living in Da Nang instead of HCMC even though I adore HCMC
How fun and informative! I didn’t know DaNang had so many good food options. I just might visit one of these days. Keep up the good work Janine. 👌🏻And thanks for taking me along .
Hi Janine! Like your videos, I’m actually also going to Da Nang in November and it seems I booked the same apartment as you live😂 btw I’m also big fun of going to supermarkets when travelling 😊
That’s what I’ve concluded when I was traveling in SE Asia as well. I thought Vietnam was the cheapest out of all the places I had visited. I did not visit Laos, so I wasn’t able to include that country. I thought Cambodia was ok but there were soooo many businesses and huge casinos and 8-10 story buildings made by the Chinese. It felt like majority of the ppl were Chinese in Cambodia. My favorite was Vietnam and Thailand. Vietnam was cheaper than Thailand. Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore for sure, and cheaper than Bali as well.
I love your video, beautiful beaches in Vietnam, the people are nice , I love how you use a motorcycle safely in the traffic, I am in Miami Florida here is impossible to ride a bike a feel safety.
😃Great Video. And No, you are not the only one who is obsessed with supermarkets in foreign countries😂I was in Da Nang 7 years ago. When I came back to Germany I felt that Germany is a third world country from a supermarkets view😊
i was in Da Nang Jan - March 2024. When i was driving on my scooter to Hoi An an old woman on her scooter came up near me and was telling me Marble Mountains was on the right 😂 It freaked me out.
Riptides .. are likely the reason you can swim in some areas but not others. I was just in Da Nang for one month. Great little community. I was disappointed by the trash on the beach and in the water, but I blame China and the America for being the biggest polluters. I wonder if some times in the year the trash is less bad as during other times. Not sure. Nice video. Brings back good memories. Thanks. :)
Usually swimming areas are blocked off in an open beach is because a life guard (or group of life guards) can only see so far and can control an area.. Its hard to support an entire beach of swimmers with limited amount of life guards on duty.. so they block off an area specifically to allow for swimmers and support people potentially from drowning because it will be visible to all the life guards on duty!

i've been only in saigon for vietnam. da nang looks really a nice place to live if you like a mix of coastal city vibe. and its cheap too. one thing i found unsettling the weather is super hot considering they built it like florida with equatorial weather. maybe it would be nice living in a villa instead of apartment.
You can go out alone at night anywhere in Southeast or East Asia, nothing will happen to you, no need to worry, lots of Western female solo travelers go out at night. However, I would avoid doing that in South Asia as there have been incidents with solo women travellers there.
Hi Janine, thanks for the great video. I'm coming to Da Nang in December. I take it you are in Hoi An, do you like the area? What area do you recommend? Want to be close to the beach, restaurants, bars and activities. I will be there for 3 months. Cheers and continue to enjoy..
Of all the cities in vietnam, Đà Nẵng probably the safest one for going out alone at night, just stay round city center for sure. And your negotiating skills are almost locals😂

Thats what i was thinking...very dangerous...i lost a very good friend who was vacationing in Costa Rica...nice to see them watching out for people
The reason for the lifeguard at certain points is tidal rips. Its a deep gully that takes the water back out too sea
